Captain America Woke Up!

The room was furnished in a retro style. A baseball game was playing on an old-fashioned radio in the corner of the room.

A man was lying on a bed. He was sleeping soundly, but his bulging muscles were on full display. One could only imagine how strong this man was.

The man's fingers twitched. It seemed that he was about to wake up.

"'Nurse,' get ready to comfort him when he wakes up," Nick Fury ordered through his headset.

...

Finally, the person on the bed slowly opened his eyes, sat up, and looked around in confusion.

Steve Evans' last memory was of himself running an airplane to the sea. And now he woke up in this unfamiliar room. Steve noticed the radio playing in the corner and began listening to the broadcast.

(T/N: It was supposed to be Rogers. The Author must've mixed up Steve Rogers and Chris Evans. Further mention would be Rogers.)

Suddenly, the door of the room opened. A 'nurse' walked in and asked Steve with a smile, "How are you feeling?"

"I'm feeling alright. Where am I now?" Steve asked the female nurse.

"You are in a recovery ward in New York," the 'nurse' replied.

Steve suddenly felt that he knew the game on the radio.

"Where am I? Who are you?" Steve pressed the nurse.

"...I'm afraid I don't understand what you're talking about," the nurse replied vaguely to the Captain's question.

"This game was played in May of 1941. I know it because I was there! Now, where am I?"

Steve already saw through the deceit, so the special agent disguised as a nurse pressed the alarm in her hand.

Two armed personnel entered from the door. Steve sent them flying in a few hits, smashing through the room's surprisingly thin walls.

Steve rushed out of the room, easily bodying the agents that tried to block his way, and ran out of the facility.

Steve ran straight for the street and was welcomed by a familiar yet unfamiliar city. Cars in all shapes and forms he had never seen crowded the roads. Tall buildings loomed in the sky. Pedestrians endlessly flowed through the streets, their clothes strange to his eyes. They were definitely not in style the last time Steve was here.

Steve stared at the screens that filled the roadsides like fluidly moving paintings. He was shocked by the overload of information. Where am I?!

"At ease, soldier!"

"Where am I now?" Steve asked anxiously at the black man with an eyepatch that slowly walked towards him.

"I apologize for the deception. I wanted you to take things slowly, but now the cats are out of the bag. You have been asleep for a long time, Captain. Almost seventy years, in fact," Nick replied.

"Are you alright, Captain?" Nick asked when Steve didn't answer for a while.

Steve's face was filled with melancholy.

"I missed my date!" Steve finally said with a sad voice. He said the first thing on his mind after hearing the situation: he had missed his date with Carter.

Back to Li Yue and Louise. Li Yue had teleported both of them on the spot before Louise could react to his words.

Louise was not prepared to see the scene in front of her suddenly disappear and be replaced by an unfamiliar one.

"We were...just now..?" Louise couldn't find words to ask about what had just happened. Suddenly, something very light fell on her hair.

Louise subconsciously reached out to her head and took the falling object. She found a pink petal in her hand.

Louise raised her head in surprise. She saw countless pink petals floating slowly to the ground like endless rain. Her breath was taken by the beautiful sight.

"Do you like it?"

"Yes!" Louise replied to the gentle voice that came beside her.

Louise had long grown past her girly romantic age, but she was still very happy. The scenery that she had never experienced before left her stunned.

Li Yue used his superpower to bring Louise across the world. Watching the snow on the Himalayas, eating lunch atop the Great Pyramid in Egypt, visiting the capital of romance, Paris, and tasting the delicacies from all over China...

Li Yue couldn't help but feel lucky. His superpower was absolutely perfect for wooing girls.

The two SHIELD agents that were sent to monitor Li Yue had only realized that Li Yue had brought Louise away with him after the night had fallen over the city.

The two agents felt miserable. Their target was happily playing around with a beautiful girl all day while the two agents could only wait and watch over them. Why was this world so unfair?

"It's getting late, Louise. Let's go back and rest early. I will pick you up tomorrow morning," Li Yue said to Louise.

"Alright, Li Yue. I had fun today. Good night!" Louise replied hesitantly.

"Louise, I..."

"Ring! Ring! Ring!..." Before Li Yue could say anything more, his phone interrupted him. His courage shattered.

"Who is it? Why would they call right now?" Li Yue's heart was filled with murderous intent.

Despite his complaints, Li Yue still picked up the phone. This phone was a special phone given by Nick Fury. Li Yue had thought that the phone looked old-fashioned before realizing that it couldn't make any calls: it could only receive one. It didn't look simple because it was old, but because it was designed that way.

"Li Yue, I need to tell you something." Sure enough, it was Nick Fury on the line.

"Director Nick Fury, it better be something urgent. I would not forgive you otherwise," Li Yue replied in a horrible mood. If Nick Fury was in front of him, the bald director would probably be permanently blind in both eyes after getting punched by Li Yue.

"...Li Yue, the Captain is awake. Your intel is accurate. I will send some people to pick you up tomorrow and fulfill my promise," Nick Fury spoke hastily after hearing Li Yue's tone and immediately hung up.

Li Yue's mood lightened after hearing Nick Fury's report. He could contact the Tesseract! Though, he didn't know if the Tesseract could actually improve his ability.

But then Li Yue recalled that he had promised to accompany Louise tomorrow. His head began to ache. Why must it be on the same day?

"It's fine, Li Yue. If you have something to do tomorrow, then you should go and do it. I will be fine," Louise said kindly as if reading Li Yue's thoughts.

"Thank you, Louise," Li Yue replied apologetically, grateful for Louise's consideration.

"Li Yue, I already knew you're not an ordinary person ever since you saved me that night. You don't have to worry about me; I already prepared myself," Louise continued.

"Also, I was very happy with you today. This is your reward..." Louise gave Li Yue a peck on the cheek before running into her home.

"Is this how love feels? It's nice..." Li Yue sighed while touching his cheek.
