Lorien went to take a shower before preparing breakfast for himself, Wanda, and the naive little girl.
Finally, the enticing aroma of noodles cooked by Lorien woke the sleepy little Hela.
She opened her eyes, tossed aside the quilt, and ran to Lorien, eagerly asking, "What's for breakfast?"
"Noodles," Lorien replied, glancing at her while stirring the pot.
But then he did a double take. "Little Hela, you're not wearing any clothes right now."
Little Hela froze for a moment, then looked down and realized her state of undress. With a shiver, she began to walk away slowly, muttering stubbornly, "So what? If you lose your clothes in a fierce battle, are you going to stop and pick them up?"
Despite her defiant words, she quickly left to put on the dress Lorien had bought her yesterday.
A short while later, as the noodles were nearly done, Lorien went to wake Wanda.
Wanda made a soft, sleepy sound as she opened her eyes and looked up at Lorien. Stretching out her arms, she murmured, "Carry me.…"
Without hesitation, Lorien picked up the drowsy Wanda, cradling her in his arms as he placed her on a chair under little Hela's astonished gaze. He smiled at Wanda and said, "Go brush your teeth; breakfast is ready."
"Okay~~~" Wanda replied lazily, shuffling off to the bathroom.
Little Hela watched Wanda brush her teeth, fascinated, while Lorien brought the noodles to the table.
After a moment, Little Hela asked curiously, "Lorien, why are you so nice to me? You're treating me better than you do her."
Lorien calmly placed three bowls of noodles on the table, then looked at Hela and explained, "While there may be differences in strength among family members, that's only relevant to the outside world, not within the family."
"Emotions can be pure—so pure that they consist only of emotion, with everything else being meaningless."
"Would you use your power to harm your family?"
As soon as Lorien finished speaking, he realized his mistake.
"Yes," Hela nodded, confirming his concern. She was, after all, someone who did kill....
"Okay," Lorien sighed, rubbing his forehead. "What I mean is, when you care about someone, strength becomes less important. When you're together, true strength comes from being united, from facing things together. That's what makes you stronger."
Little Hela pondered his words but didn't fully grasp their meaning. But that was okay. It would be surprising if she understood immediately.
Lorien didn't expect her to fully comprehend yet but hoped she wouldn't regret it once she did.
After Wanda finished her morning routine, the three of them enjoyed the noodles Lorien had prepared.
Then Lorien asked Wanda to pack her clothes and supplies. When she returned with two bags, they moved to the living room, ready to head to Kamar-Taj.
Wanda's face showed eager anticipation.
"Where are you going?" Hela asked curiously when she noticed Lorien preparing to leave.
"We're going to Kamar-Taj, a sacred place for magicians. Do you want to come?" Lorien asked casually.
"Yes!" Hela immediately agreed.
"That's fine, but if you go, you can't run around or use your powers," Lorien reminded her. "If you can't control yourself, I'll make sure you face consequences even without Odin's involvement."
Little Hela nodded eagerly. Lorien then told her to put on her shoes, and with a snap of his fingers, "Snap!"
The next moment, the three of them appeared in the Ancient One's temple at Kamar-Taj.
Inside the temple, a female magician had been waiting for their arrival. She was the Ancient One, the most powerful magician on Earth.
Upon seeing Lorien, the Ancient One stood and bowed slightly. This was a significant gesture because, in Lorien's absence, she was the most powerful being on Earth.
Little Hela was shocked to see the Ancient One bowing to Lorien. This was the Ancient One! The fact that she would bow to Lorien meant his power surpassed hers.
Oh my god! Little Hela looked at Lorien in disbelief. If the Ancient One was showing such deference, even her father, Odin, would have to tread carefully around him.
Lorien nodded at the Ancient One's bow, then patted Wanda on the shoulder, saying, "This is Wanda. You already know her potential. Please teach her to become a true magician."
The Ancient One nodded and smiled at Lorien, saying, "Teaching her will also benefit the planet."
Lorien nodded in agreement. "Yes, it will."
The Ancient One was right. As Wanda's powers grew, she would naturally become a protector of Earth. Teaching her was indeed an investment in the planet's future.
At that moment, the Ancient One noticed the little girl standing behind Lorien. She looked closely at Hela, sensing something familiar.
"I detect a familiar aura from her," the Ancient One remarked.
Lorien chuckled. "She's Hela, Odin's eldest daughter from Asgard. She's lost her divine powers and has turned into this little girl. That's why I call her Little Hela."
The Ancient One couldn't help but smile, and Wanda chuckled too.
"Hey~!" Hela protested, almost jumping up. "Didn't you say you wouldn't tell anyone about me? What if Odin finds out?"
As she spoke, her protests only made everyone laugh harder.
"Hi~!!!" Hela became anxious. "You're all still laughing!!! How annoying!!!"
Lorien suppressed his laughter and gently patted Hela's green hair. "Alright, alright, we'll stop. As for Odin finding out—do you really doubt the Ancient One's discretion? Focus more on not revealing yourself."
Despite his attempt to soothe her, Lorien couldn't help but smile.
"Ahh~~~!" Seeing the smile on Lorien's face, Hela pouted. She raised her small fists and began hitting Lorien's side. "You're still laughing! You're laughing too much!!!"
Lorien chuckled as he patted her head. He found this version of Hela, the cute little loli, much more endearing than the mature Hela he had first met. Her current form was far more manageable and, frankly, adorable.
Finally, the Ancient One summoned two female magicians to guide Wanda to her room and help her settle in. The Ancient One was well aware of Lorien's intentions and knew that his arrangements for Wanda were motivated by more than just teaching her magic. Therefore, she handled the situation with her usual calm demeanor.
After Wanda left, the Ancient One turned to Lorien, ready to discuss other matters.
As for Hela, she wandered off, curiously exploring the temple. These were things she'd never seen or touched before, as the Ancient One would never have allowed her to enter the temple in her previous state.
Then, the Ancient One mentioned, "Stephen arrived here not long ago and is learning spells from scratch like everyone else."
Lorien nodded, "That's good."
"But he's not fully focused," the Ancient One added. "His mind is distracted, too caught up in worldly concerns, which are hindering his progress."
Lorien nodded thoughtfully, "It sounds like I need to have a word with him."
The Ancient One agreed; that was precisely what she had intended.
Lorien called out to little Hela, who was not far away. "Let's go, little Hela. I'll take you to meet the magicians."
"Coming~!" she responded, rushing over.
