Things were different with Scarlet Witch taking action.

Compared to saving people, using the power of chaos to destroy was definitely easier, especially against mutant rats. With Lorien standing behind her, encouraging her, Wanda's confidence soared.

She moved her hands in a dance, and scarlet chaos magic surged around her. The air seemed to move of its own accord, responding to her power.

Wanda clenched the air with one hand. A ball of scarlet power immediately enveloped the group of rats. With a swift motion, she shook her other hand.

"Puff~!" The swarm of rats exploded into a mist of blood!

Thus began Wanda's heroic act of catching and eliminating the rats. All around her, mutant rats were crushed into bloody mist under the force of her magic. With each success, her confidence grew.

"Look! It's Scarlet Witch!" someone shouted.

"She's saving us! Scarlet Witch is saving us!" echoed another voice.

Wanda's swift actions quickly cleared out the swarm. As the crowd realized who was saving them, they shouted in relief and admiration. This time, Wanda felt a wave of comfort wash over her from their recognition.

Turning around, she blinked at Lorien. He waved his hand, signaling her to continue her work without distraction. Just then—

"Puff~!" Another manhole cover was lifted by a fresh wave of rats! They poured out and rushed towards Wanda!

"Buzz~~~!" Wanda moved her hands swiftly again.

"Puff~!" She crushed the new rats, but more were emerging from several other manhole covers.

"Lorien! What should I do?" she cried out, unable to turn around, her back to him in her moment of anxiety.

Lorien pondered, considering whether to intervene secretly to stop this disaster. He had a plan: collapse all the underground pipes at once to make it seem like the mutant rats had caused the damage. This would solve the problem and look natural—two birds with one stone.

But...

In his perception, someone was swinging towards them from between the tall buildings. Focusing his mind, he sensed who it was. Gwen! And she was in her original Spider-suit!

Spider-Gwen stood out from other Spider-Men. While Spider-Man started with cloth suits, Gwen had more resources. Her father was the Commissioner of the New York Police Department, and her first spider suit was made from fabrics used in international athletes' clothing—snug and resilient. This unique suit was black below the waist and white above, with a pink and white hooded mask. It was Gwen's signature look, unlike any other Spider-Man.

Now, Spider-Gwen clung to the glass wall of a building, looking towards Lorien.

Gwen scanned the scene: mutant rats, panicked crowds, Scarlet Witch, and—Lorien.

Wait, Lorien!?

Gwen stared at Lorien in surprise. She only now realized he was standing behind Scarlet Witch, near the well from which the mutant rats were emerging. And Scarlet Witch was overwhelmed, barely managing against the swarm. What if she couldn't hold them off? What would happen to Lorien?

"No, I have to help her!" Gwen resolved. She shot a web and swung forward, heading towards Lorien and Wanda.

Meanwhile, Wanda was struggling to manage the onslaught of rats from the manhole covers. She had already killed hundreds, but—

"Puff~!" More manhole covers burst open, and even more rats spilled out from all around!

"It's over!" someone yelled.

"Run!" another person shouted, and panic spread quickly among the crowd.

Wanda, with a look of determination, turned and urged Lorien, "Lorien! You go first!"

Lorien, calm and steady, gestured with his eyes towards a building beside them. Wanda turned to look.

"Huh~~~"

Gwen swung across the middle of the road on her spider web. In mid-air, she shot her hands forward.

"Puff~Puff~" She grabbed two large manhole covers with her webs and flung them forward with force.

"Bang bang bang~~~!" The heavy covers drove away dozens of rats. Lorien watched as one rat flew into a trash can, two were smashed into paste against a billboard, and the rest lay on the ground, defeated. The thought crossed his mind: Mutant rats, today is your unlucky day.

Seeing the opportunity, Wanda quickly waved her hands again, using the power of chaos to control the remaining rats. She clenched her hand into a fist.

"Puff~!" The rats she controlled were crushed into a bloody mist.

Standing atop a car, Spider-Gwen, in her tight spider suit, looked at Wanda in awe.

"Your magic is incredible!" she exclaimed. "And it's so clean—getting rid of all these rats without a trace!"
