A few days later
The day started as usual, I got ready for school and went to work without any issues. I like such calm days, everything goes its own way without making me worry about anything. Every such day reminds me of my goal.
Nothing unusual happened at school, except for Peter being late again, but that has become the norm, so no one pays attention to it anymore. However, one thing worries me: Felicia is supposed to break into the Baxter Building tonight. How do I know this? The Fantastic Four will be leaving for Germany to also present their inventions to attract sponsors, so it would be a big mistake for the cat not to take this opportunity. She has no choice but to do what I asked her to do because her heart is in my hands. I worry about what stand I will get next. As I've said before, as part of my development, I plan to kill heroes and villains one by one; currently, my main obstacles are the Avengers, the Mutant Group, and Doctor Strange with the Time Stone. I don't know what stand I will get next, but I doubt it will be able to withstand magic or stop time with the stone.
I will gain a new ability tonight. I can hardly wait for this moment. Don't let me down, Felicia.
Baxter Building | 1:23 AM
Felicia, as always, easily bypassed all security systems, but this was only because the building's owners had left the country. Had they been there, it would have been much more difficult. The girl didn't know who the stranger was, let alone how he managed to steal her heart. Felicia had no choice but to die or do everything to survive; she chose the obvious option. Although there were no guarantees that the stranger would return what was stolen after the task was completed, there were no other alternatives observed.
"Where is it, where..." - the girl muttered to herself, searching through the storage. There were all sorts of things here, ready-made or unfinished inventions and much more, but none of that interested Felicia.
Suddenly, an unremarkable box caught her eye, almost hidden in the corner. She approached it and carefully opened it - "Bingo!" - Felicia rejoiced, finding inside what she was looking for.
"The arrow is here, now just to find the bow, maybe it's in those boxes?" - Spider-Man asked nonchalantly, hanging upside down on a web in front of Black Cat - "Decided to go hunting?"
"You again..." - Felicia hissed irritably, instantly increasing the distance between them with the arrow in hand. She really didn't need to meet anyone right now, especially since the stranger would not be pleased to learn that she was spotted with the object of theft - "Don't bother me!"
Jumping to the ground, Spider-Man squinted his lenses - "I thought you only robbed banks or museums, why do you need an arrow?"
"It's none of your business!" - the girl got angry, closing the automatic door that led to the warehouse and quickly leaving the building trying to escape pursuit.
"Who are you working for?! You wouldn't steal something like this!" - the boy in red shouted from behind, desperately trying to catch the swift cat as he swung from building to building on his web.
Without answering, the cat continued to leap across buildings, but at one moment, Spider-Man shot a web and pulled himself towards her, failing to grab her before realizing he was flipped over her shoulder. Taking advantage of this chance, Felicia placed a flashbang grenade in the boy's hand and ran further.
"What is this..." - looking at what was in his hand, Peter didn't have time to react before his eyes were filled with bright light.
The girl ran for ten minutes to be absolutely sure no one would catch up with her - "Lately, a lot of people have been chasing me," - she smirked weakly, stopping on one of the roofs of the buildings.
Sighing, she commanded, "Come out..." as the girl turned, gripping the arrow even tighter.
From the shadows, a familiar figure reemerged without showing his face - Arrow.
"My... my heart first," the girl stuttered, unintentionally stepping back. Despite her desire to appear confident, she was far from successful.
"Of course," approaching Felicia, the man held her heart in one hand - "I'll return it."
Approaching, Kira used Sticky Fingers to create a slit in Felicia's chest, and the next moment, he returned the heart to where it had been stolen from - "Agh!" - unexpectedly, the girl felt an incredible pain in her stomach, as if her entire body was being turned inside out.
"I bear no ill will towards you," the man calmly stood close to the girl, taking the coveted arrow from her hand while his stand was next to her, his hand plunged into Felicia's body as she, in turn, felt something invisible to her eyes. The stand's power couldn't pierce through her body with a single punch; such a blow would have simply turned all her insides into a mush of bone fragments, so the stand pierced her by folding its fingers as if playing Rock, Paper, Scissors - "Precautionary measures."
"S...stop...." she barely whispered in a pleading whisper, enduring the severe pain.
Looking into Felicia's tearful eyes, which clearly displayed a fear of death, he showed no emotion, merely commanding the stand to withdraw its hand and swing it, thereby removing all the blood, after which the girl fell on her back, gradually forming a pool of blood.
Kira was about to hide the body, but was distracted by a familiar voice - "No!" - seeing Spider-Man leap onto the roof, the man vanished instantly, leaving the boy alone with the dying girl.
Fifteen minutes later | Kira
Damn, the pain is unbearable, the arrow pierced me unnoticed. In the chest area, it's completely under the skin and moving towards the heart. A bit more and I'll lose consciousness, thankfully, Sticky Fingers' ability helps by spreading the flesh in an attempt to hold the arrow, but the pain is making it increasingly difficult to concentrate on the stand, which began to crack, emitting a faint pink light. I need to get home as quickly as possible. Everything happened so fast, I only realized what was happening when the arrow was already halfway into my abdomen.
Blood slowly started dripping from my mouth, a strong fever began in my body, and my vision started to blur. Passersby, seeing my bloodied shirt, hurriedly walked around me. Better that way, I don't need any more trouble.
Suddenly, my head started to hurt terribly, as if too much information was being fed into it. My body can't take it. My brain is going to melt.
"Excuse me!" - about five meters from me, I heard a voice that rang in my head like a gunshot next to my ear.
As fast as I could, I disappeared into the nearest alley, but this person continued to follow me. Turning the corner, I caught a glimpse of a policeman. One problem after another.
Walking along the wall, all I did was lean on it until I could no longer walk. My organs felt like they were melting. Just a bit more and I'll collapse...
"Put your hands behind your head!" - commanded a loud voice behind me.
Police Officer James
Not for the first time on night patrol, I come across dubious characters. Just another junkie, nothing more. Seems he'll collapse from an overdose right now - "Turn around and face me!" - I commanded again, drawing my pistol from the holster.
Slowly approaching the man who seemed not even to breathe, I gently placed my hand on his shoulder - "Are you alr>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> What the... Where did he... Vanished right under my nose? He was in front of me a second ago, and now he just disappeared. Did I imagine all this?"
Suddenly realizing that with my right hand I was feeling something else but not the pistol, I slowly raised it and saw someone's hand from which dark blood was dripping. Shifting my gaze to my left hand, which I had placed on the man's shoulder, I saw blood also dripping from it, and where the wrist should start... there was nothing ".... M... My.... MY HAND!!!!!"
