CHAPTER 9 : ENTER THE SHIELD

[Spiderman POV]

It took sometime, but I finally dealt with Doc Oc.

I then checked up on my team and saw that everyone was still dealing with their opponents but were doing fine, so I decided to go and help Arachnid confront Electro, I just hope he didn't do anything reckless.

And just then I saw blinding light, which was followed by a huge electrical discharge. As soon as I regained my composure I checked and saw that arc reactor was still fine, and decided to check up on Arachnid, and when I went there I saw electricity of green color crackling around him.

He looked at me, and said, "How you doin'?'

[Arachnid POV]

When Electro enveloped us in electricity I, after one point stopped feeling pain and my body started to crackle with a green electricity, and when I felt like Electro was about to discharge, I subconsciously wanted to avoid getting struck, and THEN IT HAPPENED.

I felt like I was not made of flesh and blood, but of electricity and that sensation travelled around my whole body, and then I visibly flew through my web like a current, and avoid getting hit by discharge. After that I just wanted to check if the light bulb was glowing or what, and then it happened again, I flew through my wire like a current.

And when I was processing what happened, Spidey stood near the entrance and,

I said, " How you doin'?"

[Few moments later]

SHIELD arrived and arrested these guys, and when everything was going on I was approached by Fury.

Fury: I am Fury, director of SHIELD.

Arachnid: And I am Arachnid, director of.... nothing.

Fury: Let's cut this short, I want you to recruit you for the team.

Arachnid: Sorry, but I am doing fine.

Fury: We can train you so that you can handle situations like these better.

Arachnid: But I got the job done.

Fury: No, you got lucky. What if Electro overloaded arc reactor, and what if someone on the team had died, what if spiderman had died.

How long will you keep doing the things irresponsible way, until someone dies.

Sure, you can survive but others can't. We fight to save people, not defeat villains. Defeating villains is not the real goal here.

Arachnid: *sighs* Give me sometime to think about it.

Fury: Don't take too much time.

And I swung away, meanwhile,

Maria: Director,.. you have a.. umm... tail on your back.

Fury: *Looks around, and removes the tail*

Nova: I think I like the guy.

[Salazar POV]

I am sitting on the top of Empire State Building, and I am seriously wondering about the offer.

He is right, until when till my luck gives out, until when someone important to me dies. I have no one except people in mansion, but what about future.

I take a deep breath and, ... jump.

While in midair everything seems to be moving slow, I don't move even an inch, and just when I am about to hit the ground,... I swing away.

I have decided, I will take him up on that offer.

I kept swinging until I reached SHIELD facility.

Maria was there waiting, as if expecting me.. or was told to stand until I come to make it seem like they know I was coming but in reality they didn't know if I was coming.

Got confused, ehh.

Anyway, I followed inside to the facility and reached towards Fury.

Fury: So you decided??

Arachnid: Yes, and my answer is.... wait for it.... keep waiting..... just a bit more..... almost ther-

Fury: Just speak

Arachnid: Yeah, sure, why not.

So when will I be in the team by the way.

Fury: I changed my mind, your powers make you a better assassin, and undercover agent.

Arachnid: And what are we waiting for??

Fury: I have decided to assign you to an agent, who is the best assasssin known. We are waiting for her.

Arachnid: I don't need a babysitter

And just then enters, the most beautiful woman I had ever seen

Fury: Arachnid, I would like you to meet Agent Black Widow.

Black Widow: Hi nice to meet you

Arachnid: * dreamingly* Hi, plz sit on me.
