Edward quickly stopped the spell, and observed his blood. His blood was of a fiery golden colour, and allowed him to improve in many aspects. The potency of his blood had become so high that he felt his blood could heal any mortal injury if drunk by an ordinary person.

His body had grown even stronger thanks to it, and despite having only unlocked the Heart Chakra, with the Throat, Third Eye and Crown Chakra remaining, he was already as strong as he was before coming in here.

His magic was also even better, as he not only mastered elemental magic by a good deal, his blood could support much stronger spells, and unlike his Chi it wasn't a finite energy.

From now on, for any spell under a certain power would become essentially free to use for him. For now, those spells weren't too strong, but as his body gets stronger his resistance would also grow stronger.

Moreover, he could still use his Chi to use stronger spells, so essentially it raised the upper limit of the spells he could use.

Overall, at this moment, Edward was physically as strong as he was right before entering this world, stronger magically and only his Chi was lacking in volume, something which would be resolved when he opened the next two Chakras.

With everything he wanted to do finished, Edward jumped out of the water. To his surprise, Glorfindel was waiting for him at the edge of the water, sitting on a chair, reading a book.

Edward's armor, which was in the form of a short as he cultivated at the bottom of the river, turned not into his usual clothing, but into a long silver and gold elven styled robe.

Glorfindel looked up from his book and commented, "That's a useful function, can you make me one?"

Edward smiled, "I can't promise it will be the same, but I will do my best. Not now though, I'll do it after I slay Smaug."

Glorfindel didn't really expect Edward to accept, so he was pleasantly surprised. With a wave of his hand, a finely made bookcase appeared. It was filled with books.

Edward asked, "You took the time to put everything in a bookshelf?"

Glorfindel snorted, "How do you think a library is put together? I just went to the smithing bookshelf and took it."

"Is it going to be okay?"

"It's fine if it's for a few days. Good luck reading all of that in only a few days."

Edward smiled and replied, "Well, since it was so easy getting the books, it's going to take much less time than I thought it would. Wait a second."

Edward opened a portal and walked through it, keeping it open. Glorfindel tilted his head at the strange antics of his friend, but was shocked when a whole tree was thrown out of the portal. Glorfindel hurriedly dodged to the side, and watched as another tree was thrown through the portal before Edward came back and closed the portal.

At Glorfindel's glare he laughed, "Don't be like that, watch, it's going to be great."

Edward extended his hands toward the trees and began using his magic to transform them. The bark was ripped off the tree as they began morphing into paper, and all the pieces of paper were bound together by a softened thicker bark that was transfigured into a book.

With his other hand, Edward created an identical bookshelf as the one crafted by the elves, and finally began filling it with books.

In slightly over a minute, the two tree had disappeared, and in their place was an identical bookshelf filled with the exact same books. Stunned, Glorfindel grabbed one of the books but saw the insides were empty.

On the side, Edward smiled and used telekinesis to put the book back in it's place as he said, "Wait, I'm not finished."

Edward extended his hand toward the original bookshelf, and red magic surrounded it and entered deep into it. The red glow remained for half a minute before it moved to the copied bookshelf, and remained for another half a minute before disappearing.

Glorefindel once again grabbed a book, and was shocked to see it was filled with words now. He looked at Edward for explanation, who eagerly explained, "Transfigurating a tree into something it could realistically become is a rather easy feat of magic actually. Then, it was only a copying work. I basically copy and pasted the work from one bookshelf to the other."

"Copy and pasted?"

Edward facepalmed as he realized, "Right, sorry, that's something from my place. I used a detection spell on the original bookshelf, copied all the information into the spell, and copied it into the other bookshelf. To make everything easier, I gave the copied bookshelf the same appearance."

"I see… wait, we're talking in Elvish?!"

Glorfindel was so stunned by the situation he had not even noticed Edward had been speaking to him in Elvish. Edward grinned and replied in the ancient Elvish only spoken in the Years of the Trees, "I took the time to learn every language in the world while I was bathing. I know, I'm awesome."

Glorfindel scratched his head as he found that the more time he spent with Edward, and the stranger this man was getting.

Ignoring his friend's shock, Edward used his telekinesis to grab all the books in the copied bookshelf and flew them into his Spacial Bracelet. He then patted the remaining bookshelf and said, "I only needed it to copy the books, it will only waste space if I take it so here's a gift."

Glorfindel looked at the empty bookshelf and asked, "What am I supposed to do with this?"

Edward shrugged, "I don't know, give it to the librarian, I'm sure he will be happy to have a new bookshelf to store even more books."

"No, no he won't. You keep it."

"Your loss."

Edward patted the bookshelf one more time and this time it turned into twelve wooden javelins. He turned to Glorfindel and asked, "Do you think I can use the Moon Forge?"

"Yeah sure."

Edward grinned and opened a portal to it. For a short distance teleportation like this, his blood could bear the cost on it's own.

Glorfindel came along after storing the original bookshelf back into his Spatial Bracelet. Internally, he couldn't help but feel excited. He had lived for a very, very long time, and boredom often haunted him.

Everytime he was around Edward though, he would show him one exciting thing after another, and it was just awesome.

As they arrived before the Moon Forge, Glorefindel asked, "Won't you wait for the night?"

Edward shook his head and explained, "Last time I waited for the night because too much of my strength was sealed and I had to rely on the moon to help me recover my energy faster. The enchantments I'm about to make are much easier, so I have no need for the moon."

Glorfindel nodded and watched. The javelins Edward had created were nothing but wood carved into javelins, they wouldn't be able to kill anyone if left as they were. So Edward began layering several enchantments on one another.

Glorfindel knew a little bit about enchantments himself, so as he watched Edward he was shocked. First, he couldn't recognize in the slightest the enchantments Edward was inscribing, they were of a whole different system. But more importantly, adding several layers of enchantment was something considered very complicated.

Edward did it without breaking a sweat though. Moreover, he was not enchanting them one by one, but five at a time. This was actually a technique Edward had invented himself by taking inspiration from a game he played when he was younger and had more time, World of Warcraft.

In that game there were equipment sets that would strengthen each other and add magical effects when used together. This was quite a common feature in RPGs, and so he decided to use it for magic, a bit differently of course.

Although enchanting five artefacts at the same time sounded difficult, through Edward's technique it was actually easier as he would begin by creating a synergy between the artefacts. Then, inscribing the runes on all the artefacts would become easier, and when near each other they would get strengthened.

The first enchantment Edward inscribed was an interesting one that enhanced the piercing ability of the javelins. If in a video game Edward had no doubt the description of the enchantment would be: Piercing effect, but there was more to it, obviously.

As a javelin was a weapon to be thrown, it would fly through the air, the enchantment used that as a power. As it pierces through the air, not only will it not be slowed down by the air resistance, it will gather at it's tip and form an extension made of wind. The end effect when the opponent is hit is a bit similar to the wind arrow Edward had used against Bolg.

The second enchantment is simpler in nature as it gives a rotating force to the javelin, giving it an even better penetration. And finally comes the third enchantment, a rather simple too reinforcing rune so the javelin won't break apart in the air or as it comes in contact with the enemy.

And of course, there was an additional enchantment that wasn't on just one of those javelins, but spread on all five to justify their nature as a set. This last one will leave a kind of mark on the target attacked, and if they are not killed by the first one, then this mark will weaken the target to the incoming spear.

This effect will stack up with each spear, until the fifth one. The reason for this enchantment was the enemy Edward created these for. Smaug was said to have a hide impermeable to swords and arrows, and only very few weapons are capable of hurting him.

But maybe that with this technique he will be able to kill the dragon. Maybe.

The five other spears, he did not inscribe the same enchantments on them. He couldn't get the stack of weakening marks higher than five, so there was no need making more than five. For the other five, he went for another tactic.

He set explosion runes on it. The triangle of fire says that for a fire to start, oxygen, fuel and heat are needed. So this run will gather the surrounding oxygen in mass, use the wood as fuel and the friction with the air will give the heat.

The enchantment will make a nice mix of those three elements, and the moment the spear hits the target, it goes boom. Big kaboom.

This time, only a second enchantment is made, a stronger reinforcing enchantment, so the wood can hold the explosion within before hitting the target and not explode in the air. As for the set effect, it was a funnier one, the remaining spears would home in on the location of the first explosion site, at the thrower's will. Several big kaboom in a row at the same spot, tight.

Finally, he used the last remaining two javelins as test subjects. He turned one into a piercing javelin and the other into an exploding one, and handed them to Glorfindel.

As the elf looked at him with question marks in his eyes, Edward said, "Throw them. Start with the one in your left hand. Use all your strength. And don't throw them in Rivendell, throw them in the cliff in front."

Glorfindel had a bad feeling in his heart, and yet he found his grip on the javelins to have tightened in excitement. A grin appeared on his face.

Author's Note: If you feel like this Edward is strange, please consider that normal people don't have only one aspect to their personality, they aren't one dimensional people. Edward is serious when he does important stuff, but now he is with his friend so of course he is changed. His personality also changes when he is with Diana, or becomes similar to the current one when he is with Stephen, or even changes to yet another one when he teaches Peter or Sue. Don't complain about him being too goofy or I'll get mad, I don't want a one dimensional character, like a character who's always cold or always joking… He shows different aspects of his personality depending on who he is with, as a normal person should!
