Leaving the Time Chamber
General Pov.
"All I can say is as expected" Someone amongst the crowd of people that was laying collapsed on the ground said. The others can only nod
Only the Ancient One is left standing, the rest have already fallen. There are 5 minutes left until he leaves the Time Chamber. An hour ago the last Grandmaster collapsed since then she has been single handedly feeding the array.
"Look" One of the newer students points with a head tilt
"The Masters and Grandmasters are meditating" He says
"They must have comprehended something, I envy them, this is a very rare event, the last one was centuries ago. It's likely that we won't be able to get another chance like this." Another just shakes his head
"If we become Masters we can get the chance to study the Eye of Agamoto. But they have been doing that for centuries almost no one learns anything except the basic things. By using the Time Chamber the Eye is constantly active, that makes it easier.. well easier for the Masters and Grandmasters. We are just unlucky that we arrived too late here, 30 years earlier and we might have comprehended something" another student says what was on everyone's mind
The Grandmaster that lasted the most, Grandmaster Woharad opened his eyes, his meditation session was the quickest but he learned the most. He looked at his watch then turned his attention towards the Ancient One.
"Teacher two more minutes left" Woharad said solemnly
The Ancient One nodded with sweat draping down her face
Woharad looked at his teacher with a complicated expression "This had better be worth it" he mumbles under his breath.
Two minutes pass and the Gong is rung.
The Ancient One stops feeding Eldritch Energy to the array and collapses on her knees. Woharad rushes towards her "Teacher!!"
"I'm fine Woharad, just tired" she gives him a weak smile, both of them knew that what she said wasn't the truth
"He is coming out" the Ancient One announced
Everybody stood up and their heads were turned to the giant stone doors. The next few seconds everything happened so fast people couldn't react to it.
The first thing everyone noticed was the sound of the lock on the doors opening, when the doors opened ever so slightly then everything became white. The Temperature suddenly dropped.
Ice and Mist threw the doors open, the floor they were standing on was frozen along with their feet. Frost was spreading on the Doors itself and going through Kamar-Taj.
The Ancient One just smiled at this "He has gotten a lot stronger" The rest were too shocked to do anything
Soon footsteps were heard. Step by step, the temperature was dropping even more.
"He might be stronger, but his control over his new power is pretty bad, I guess he only focused on raising it. He isn't the type of man to do theatrics like this, he genuinely cant control the power he has amassed."
"Teacher isn't it dangerous to be near him then?" asked Woharad nervously this type of bone-freezing cold is no joke
"No it will stop soon" her words make him even more confused
"What's with the dead expressions? You all look like you have pulled an all-nighter! Hahahaha!" Wards words echo across Kamar-Taj pissing everybody off instantly, causing them to curse at him, calling him an ungrateful ass
All the Ancient One could do was shake her head
"Ward you asshole I'm going to beat your ass all the way to NewYork for this" Master Lavat yells at him
"Ohhh Lavat you're still alive! I thought you would have died in a ditch somewhere by now" Ward says with the always present grin on his face
Before the could start the Ancient One interrupts them " Gentlemen please do this later, all of us are quite tired and have no desire to see you bicker like children. Master Ward can you suppress your power before the new students suffer from frostbite."
Ward just nods, and cuts off his power entirely.
"Well that's one way to do it" Master Woharad says
He smiles at his words "That's the only way to do it. Something very interesting happened while I was there. My power can no longer be suppressed by ordinary means."
The Ancient One frowns at his words "What do you mean?"
"Exactly what I said, currently my strength has gotten so large that it's beyond my current ability to suppress."
"Please follow me to my office Master Ward" he nods, but before they went
" I thank everyone for what they have done. Your actions have greatly increased Earth's chances of survival. Take pride in that. You! Protected our home!" he says with a smile and walks away from a stunned crowd.
Both of them entered her office, sat down, and prepared tea.
"What happened in there" The Ancient one starts off the conversation
Ward calmly takes a sip from his tea then answers "The first 15 days, I trained as hard as I could. Every day I would train until I collapsed. I made some good improvements but nowhere near to what I wanted. At that time I realized that my rate of improvement is going too slow. I wouldn't be able reach to the power needed to protect myself, let alone defeat the future threats.
Even with the artificial stones, I wouldn't get there. The more I studied the Mind Stone, the deeper and more profound it became. The condition I put on the Artificial Stones, is that I need the knowledge to be able to use them. Getting all the stones can be accomplished, but studying them comprehending them that cannot be done by a mortal."
He gives her a sad smile
"Did you know that mortals can only comprehend a small part from all the knowledge of the stone. The stones have a seal on them that prevents mortals from going further. Even you with your centuries of studying and using the stone, at most you have learned 10%."
"No. You must be mistaken I can use a lot more than 10% of the stones power" The Ancient One denies me quickly
"You are right, but that is the Stones raw power. Anyone can use the Stones by having a strong enough body and by risking your life. The future I saw was that Thanos gathered all the Stones and that he could easily use them. Now I know that is false. He was taking damage each time the stones were used beyond a certain percentage.
You have been getting weaker each time you use the Stone beyond the 10% limit. You thought it was your link to Dormamu, but the stone had just as much as an affect on you. Even you with all your knowledge and insight didn't notice it. I only learned about it because I have the Mind Stone"
This shocked her to the core "But that would mean?"
"Yes even Strange would have been affected by the stone. I think the affects vary depending on which stone is used.
My condition on my Grimoire is based on balance, in a way. The knowledge and comprehension I have on that particular Stone serves as a limit on what I can use. But to learn that at most I can get up to only 10%, and that comes with centuries of studying. That shook my core.
That realization led me to do something stupid." I say in self mockery
"What did you do?" she gets a sense of foreboding *
"Conditions and Contract" Ward answers seriously
"Conditions and Contract? Does this have something to do with the conditions on your Grimoire?"
Ward just drinks a glass of whiskey he pulled out of nowhere "Yes, you put conditions on the ability you want, then that becomes the contract, if you don't follow the contract or vow you have made, at best you lose the ability at worst... You die" he says dead serious
"After learning about my grim future I decided to make another Vow, one where my Life was at stake"
"You did WHAT?!!"

(A/N I never planned for him to get strong this strong this fast, but then I said what the heck and threw a coin, heads buff, tails small power up... I was heads... The dude has RL plot armor. Then a nerf was needed, one that actually made sense the more I thought about it.
Why did Thanos just let Loki have the Mind Stone, why not use it himself and get the stones faster.
Might rewrite this chapter, this was not the plan at all. but i like it more this way.)

I will make a flashback chap to the Contract part. What do you guys thing, is this good or do i change it back to the old plot? My brain just decided nope i got another idea, a better one. And I changed the plot that i had made previously
