Chapter 39 | Talking to All-Father
"All-Father, I have heard rumors about a mortal by the name of Lex Luthor. Shall I gather information for you?"
Odin begins to speak. "Ah, Lex Luthor, a dangerous man from a different realm. Heimdall, please enlighten me on what you know."
"Lex Luthor is a Billionaire genius, known for his intricate schemes and cunning intelligence. He possess extraordinary Powers that doesn't come from this World. His vast Intellect and Powers makes him a formidable adversary. Heimdall said.
"Interesting. It seems this Luthor is using his mortal resources to try and solve problems that concern Gods and Heroes. Tell me, Heimdall, what are your thoughts on this Lex Luthor?" Odin said.
Heimdall begins to answer Odin's question. "He has extraordinary Physical Qualities, but also his Intelligence are just as terrifying. He is able to outsmart his Political enemies, it is truly remarkable. He manipulates situations to his advantage and is a master strategist." Heimdall explained.
"Your words do invoke curiosity, Heimdall. Perhaps this Lex Luthor is a force that should not be underestimated. Keep a watchful eye on him, and continue gathering information. We may find his Skills useful in unexpected ways." Odin said.
A tall, bulky man with majestic armor on his body walks into the room. He has long blonde hair going down to his shoulders and beard.
"Greetings, Father-Odin, and Heimdall! I couldn't help but overhear your conversation about Lex Luthor. I've encountered him on my journeys to Midgard, and I must say, his Intellect is commendable, even for a mortal." Thor said.
"Ah, Thor, my mighty son! Please, share your experiences with us. What do you make of Lex Luthor." Odin said.
"Lex is a man driven by Ambition and Power. He sees himself as the Savior of humanity, even if his methods may seem questionable to some. His brilliance in Technology and Strategic planning unlike any mortal I have ever seen, and there were moments where I questioned his mortal nature." Thor said.
Meanwhile, on top of LexCorp, Lex is sitting inside his office planning on how to make most of the situation at hand. While he was busy planning on how to make the public fall for his Superhero Persona.
Lex's phone rings, and he answers.
Lex begins to speak. "Ah, Logan and Victor. Always a pleasure. To what do I owe the honor of this call?"
Logan begins to speak. "We completed the job you have asked of us, but their are some complications. We have found a Powerful Artifact deep in the heart of Europe."
Lex's interest begins to peak. He is surprised his Network didn't picked this up. Looks like he needs to fire some people.
"Yeah, we have got a lead on a Powerful Artifact, but it's heavily guarded. We thought you might be interested in helping us acquire it." Victor said.
"Interesting proposition, gentleman. I must admit, my curiosity is piqued. Tell me more about this Artifact and the potential benefits of acquiring it." Lex said.
"It's the Amulet of Eternity, it said to grant immense Power and Immortality to its bearer. We believe it is a valuable asset that should not be in the wrong hands." Logan said.
"And with your resources and connections, we can ensure its safekeeping, or harnessing it's Power for the greater good, instead of letting it fall into the hands of those who might abuse it." Victor muttered.
"Fascinating. The Amulet of Eternity undoubtedly aligns with my endeavors for the betterment of humanity. I am prepared to assist in obtaining it. However, I must stress the importance of tireless research and strategic planning. We must ensure we minimize risks and maximize rewards." Lex said.
In a dark cave, somewhere in between Nazi Germany, Red Skull is walking with a squad of Hydra soldiers with the weapons him and Lex Luthor trade for. An Emerald Glow attracting everyone there inside the cave.
"Interesting. I never knew this strange Power was here. It looks like God is on my side." Red Skull honeyed said.
Inside one of the M16 holdups, Peggy is there with a group of soldiers. They are packed with some of LexCorp's most powerful weapons. And the Powerful blue beam weapons that could destroy every atom in your body.
A tall, chocolate dark skinned man with short hair cut and a black eyepatch across his left eye. He is wearing the protective military gear created by LexCorp.
"Nick, it's been a pleasure to meet you. I have heard of your potential and the promise you hold. I'm confident you can make a difference." Peggy explained.
Likewise, Agent Carter. Your contributions during this War are legendary. I have always admired your tenacity and dedication." Nick said.
"Thank you, Nick. But this conversation isn't just for pleasantries. I have some information that might be of interest to you and the Organization you will someday lead." Peggy said.
"Go on. I'm all ears! Peggy!" Nick said.
Peggy begins to explained. "There's a powerful Artifact, known as the Amulet of Eternity, currently in the possession of Red Skull. It grants immense Power and must not fall into the wrong hands."
