Chapter 239: The Illuminati

Wanda walked through ruins and over bodies to get to the center chamber. In her eyes, there was no trace of mercy.

At this moment, She was in charge of this area.

Jack, who was hiding nearby, frowned as he saw Kamar-Taj being destroyed and felt Wanda's deeply dark energy.

He had expected Wanda to regain some sanity after Chthon's defeat, but it seemed she had fallen even deeper into darkness.

Even though he did not understand what had happened, it was not a big deal.

Turning his attention back to the scene, Wanda rushed into the main chamber, which was empty.

Doctor Strange had cleverly used The Mirror Dimension to temporarily trap her, giving himself time to plan and escape.

However, it quickly became clear that his plan was too confident.

The Mirror Dimension was indeed tricky; Wanda had been caught off guard when she encountered it at first.

But she quickly understood its movement and turned the tables by using the mirror dimension to locate them.

When Doctor Strange tried to open a portal to escape, but the chaos magic broke his sling ring immediately.

Wanda could find where they were hiding by looking at the reflection of a bronze gong.

"You killed many innocent people!"

Even though he did not want to, Strange had to face Wanda head-on.

"Oh, strictly speaking, they died because of you,"

Wanda said calmly and then looked at Miss America, America Chavez, who was hiding behind Strange.

"I warned you, yet you sacrificed them to protect a child you've never even met. So, it's your fault they died."

"I did what I had to. You can not go through the multiverse. Your actions would destroy the entire universe."

Strange kept talking, trying to convince her.

"And your child doesn't exist; you created them with chaos magic. Remember?"

Those words struck Wanda, and she could not say anything for a moment.

What would she do then?

Her silence seemed to show that she knew what to say.

Seeing the opportunity, Doctor Strange summoned two huge snakes to attack Wanda, and the fight was back on.

But it became clear quickly that he was just having trouble.

Wanda easily dispelled his magic, and Strange was almost too weak to stand.

At this moment, no one could stop her from taking away America Chavez's powers.

But just as she was about to succeed, America Chavez, who was scared, used her abilities to open a portal to an unknown multiverse.

Strange quickly decided, grabbed America Chavez, and jumped through the portal with her.

Wanda tried to follow, but she was one step too late. The portal was closed.

"Damn it!"

Wanda cursed with an unpleasant expression as she watched the vanishing portal.

She was not too worried because she had other choices.

The Darkhold contained magic that allowed the soul to travel across the multiverse.

It wouldn't be difficult.

On the other side, Jack found himself in a new universe.

Yes, he had come in after them, but he had been more careful than Strange and America Chavez when he arrived.

It was still New York, and it was similar to what he remembered, but technology seemed too advanced, and the city seemed to be built around bright flowers and plants.

He looked at those strange flowers for a moment before moving on to the most famous building in the city.

If he was not mistaken, most of the strongest people in the world, including an old friend of his who might not know him, were in that building.

Once again, Jack concealed his presence and quickly arrived in the lobby of the building.

But, he was surprised when warning sirens suddenly went off in the whole building as soon as he got there and before he could look around more.

At first, Jack thought it had nothing to do with him, but as more and more robots appeared from all directions and surrounded him, he finally realized that he had been exposed.

He couldn't understand how he had been exposed.

He was currently hiding in a different dimension, which was even more advanced than the Mirror Dimension, not to mention his hiding abilities used from the Infinity Stones.

Suddenly, there was a flash of light inside the circle, and a tall man with a full beard and wise eyes stood in front of Jack.

"The Space Stone does have special powers. But because the Infinity Stones are so special, it is easy to find them once you understand how their energy radiation works."

The man explained to himself, although Jack clearly felt that the man was speaking to him.

Since he had been discovered, Jack chose to take down his barrier and show himself. He looked at the number four symbol on the man's chest and thought about it.

He had already guessed the man's identity.

"You... You must be Mr. Fantastic from the Fantastic Four!"

Jack said with confidence.

"Nice to meet you. I apologize for the rudeness,"

Mr. Fantastic nodded at Jack, expressing his apology.

Soon after that, one by one, the robots that had been surrounding them moved away, leaving them alone.

"Please follow me, Mr. Wayne,"

Mr. Fantastic made a motion to show the way.

Jack was more curious about the fact that Mr. Fantastic knew his name than why the man was so nice to an unwanted guest like himself.

"Wait, you know my name?"

Jack looked at Mr. Fantastic with surprise. Mr. Fantastic shrugged and replied calmly,

"Well, I invented a device that can monitor the multiverse and once observed you."

A device that can monitor the multiverse?

Even though Jack had heard that Mr. Fantastic was very smart, the fact that he had made this device made him think even more highly of him.

As he pondered, Jack couldn't help but think that his own scientific school didn't have a decent supervisor yet.

Bolivar was an option at first, but when he saw Mr. Fantastic, he did not like Bolivar anymore. His gaze toward Mr. Fantastic became more eager, and he started thinking about how to persuade him to join his side.

But persuading one of the Illuminati members, who was also a leader of the organization, would be pretty difficult.
