MUP: Chapter 99. Fighting Black Widow

Bang, bang, bang—

In Manhattan, in the martial arts school in Chinatown, there was a continuous sound of something being hit.

In front of the wooden dummy, Ip Man's hands moved so fast that they left streaks of shadows. His feet sometimes kicked and sometimes turned sideways, displaying his Wing Chun skills to the fullest.

After a set of moves, Ip Man silently withdrew his fists and exhaled.

Behind him, there was a sudden burst of applause.

Turning his head, he saw Natasha with a small smile on her lips, addressing him, "Master Ip, your Wing Chun is certainly impressive."

Master Ip was what the Chinatown community called Ip Man. Natasha obviously noticed that and deliberately adjusted her way of addressing him.

"Haven't I told you everything when we met before? " Looking at Natasha, who appeared in the martial arts school, Ip Man's expression seemed a little bemused, "Why are you back?"

"Although I should thank you, Master Ip, for cooperating last time, some of us are still in doubt about the information you gave us ..." Natasha replied with a shrug.

Within S.H.I.E.L.D., not everything that Ip Man said was accepted in its entirety.

As a covert organisation, being suspicious was in their nature.

"I need to stay with you a little longer."

"This is a martial arts school." Listening to Natasha's words, Ip Man wore a difficult expression and frowned, "It's a place to practice martial arts, not a place where you guys can just come and go as you please."

"Looks like you noticed something?" Noting the implication in Ip Man's words, Natasha couldn't help but raise a slender eyebrow and ask. This situation was somewhat beyond her expectations.

'To be honest, I noticed your agents since the beginning. '

In the antique shop, Ryan silently remarked.

On the other hand, in martial arts school, Ryan manoeuvred Ip Man's clone to look unhappy and speak up in a stern tone, "I opened this martial arts school to pass down Wing Chun. I don't want it to be a place for people with ulterior motives to use to approach me."

"Troublesome..."

Noticing Ip Man's expression, Natasha inwardly frowned.

The prior S.H.I.E.L.D. agent's exposure would certainly add problems to her next mission.

However, as one of the few top agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Natasha wouldn't give up because of that. After a little thinking, she immediately came up with a solution.

"Master Ip, I'm deeply sorry for what the last guy did."

Natasha's words eased up Ip Man's stern look a little.

Noticing that, Natasha kept going, "However, in order to finish this mission, I still need to spend some time in your martial arts school."

Upon hearing that, Ip Man frowned, "As I said, the martial arts school isn't for ..."

In response, Natasha slightly smiled and stated her intentions, "I know. I have a suggestion. Since you care so much about the martial arts school, why don't we have a spar? If I win, you'll cooperate with me, if I lose, I'll leave. No strings attached. None of us will bother you anymore."

"This will be the last time."

When he heard Natasha's suggestion, Ip Man's expression revealed a bit of surprise. He took a serious look at the Black Widow in front of him.

"What?" Noticing the look in Ip Man's eyes, Natasha then raised an eyebrow, "Do you think I'd lose? Or, maybe you don't have the confidence? "

As Natasha said that, she took off her jacket, revealing the perfect figure wrapped up inside.

Natasha's remark was clearly a provocation.

So Ip Man spoke up and cooperated quite well, "I'm just worried that I might hurt you."

"I'm not as fragile as I look, Master Ip." To that, Natasha gently smiles. She moved her body, lowered it slightly and then collected her expression, "You might be the one to get hurt."

"Looks like this is going to be a real fight."

In the antique shop, Ryan couldn't help but mutter as he noticed the changes in the martial arts school.

Things had developed into something even more interesting than what he expected.

He hadn't thought about how he was going to get into a fight for no reason at all.

However, since the fight was going to take place, Ryan wasn't fazed at all. Although Black Widow was powerful, her abilities were mainly in the area of intelligence gathering, and her combat ability, although good, was nothing close to magical like the others. With Ip Man's ability, although he couldn't completely crush her, at least he wouldn't lose.

That was what Ryan thought.

On the other hand, inside the martial arts school, Ip Man raised his hand and posed in his Wing Chun stance. He addressed Natasha, "Well then, come on."

Noticing the change in Ip Man's arms, Natasha slightly hooked the corners of her lips into a charming smile.

In the next second, the person was already in front of Ip Man. She raised her foot and kicked at his head.

Unlike a typical sparring match, Natasha, as a special agent, was trained in ruthless killing moves. They paid attention to killing people with one blow, with all her strikes focused on vital points.

The look on Ip Man's face wasn't the least bit panicky in the face of Natasha's fierce attack.

He raised his hand and blocked Natasha's vicious kick. Then, his other hand grabbed the calf of the Black Widow's flexible left leg and pulled it back with force, trying to disrupt Natasha's attack.

However, it was clear that Natasha was no Danny, and the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent was clearly above Iron Fist and Daredevil's level in terms of combat experience. When Ip Man did that, she didn't shy away from spreading her legs and doing a split. She followed it up by bracing her left hand, swinging her other foot around, and sweeping it towards Ip Man's chest.

Natasha's set of attacks was switching extremely fast, hardly giving Ip Man much time to react.

Fortunately, Ip Man wasn't called a master of Wing Chun in vain. Wing Chun was a style of martial arts that excelled in direct confrontation. Therefore, in the face of Natasha's attack, Ip Man first let go and retreated backwards, avoiding the sweeping kick from the Black Widow. He then raised his hand and stepped forward. His fists swung forward, landing so many double punches that Natasha had to start defending with her arms.

However, for Wing Chun, the most dangerous thing was defence.

Raising his hand, Ip Man intended to use Wing Chun's signature One Inch Punch to end the fight.

Noticing the movement of Ip Man's hands, Natasha instinctively sensed danger, even though she didn't know where it was coming from. The expression on her face changed, and her mind quickly turned. Facing the menacing One Inch Punch, she suddenly gave up the defence and wanted to directly take the punch.

"Huh!?"

Natasha's move was so unexpected that Ip Man had to change his stance forcefully. He had to withdraw the force from his hand in order to avoid actually hurting his opponent.

Natasha took advantage of the situation and threw a punch at Ip Man's face.

"Master Ip, it seems like I won."

Stopping her punch an inch away from Ip Man's face, she looked at him and said so.

"..."

The expression on Ip Man's face was somewhat silent in response to Natasha's statement. He then made a difficult look then nodded in acknowledgement.

Seeing that, the smile on Natasha's face grew wider.

Meanwhile, in the antique shop, Ryan couldn't help but grin with relief on his face.

'Fortunately, I finally managed to make a connection with Black Widow.'
