MUP: Chapter 126. Encounter

"Just in time."

After successfully appearing in front of both the young spider as well as the Green Goblin and ending it with a classic villain pose...

In the antique shop, Ryan looked at the [Eddie Brock (1/2)] indicator displayed in the system and gently nodded his head.

To be honest, as a C-level card, Venom was a bit uncomfortable in Ryan's hands, not only because of the number of uses but also because it was a bit too anti-human in terms of outlook. On the contrary, it would have been more practical to use it earlier to gain points.

After finishing his dramatic rage scene, Ryan retracted his [Eddie] clone and started his daily act of gathering points by using his transformation technique to transform into Shell.

In the end, the number of clones was still too small.

Ryan subconsciously glanced at the [Mizuki] card in the card slot. As a C-level card at the bottom of the list, [Mizuki]'s ability was in line with his status as a mid-to-low-level villain character, but it was somewhat dwarfed by Ryan's increasing needs.

Other than that, Ryan had to go into battle himself because of the number of clones he could produce.

'Sooner or later, the problem about the number of clones has to be settled.'

Thinking of that, Ryan made a decision in his heart. At the same time encouraged himself to be patient.

After all, there were plenty of characters with the ability to be in two places at once. Sooner or later, he'll get the right character to replace [Mizuki].

...

On the streets of New York, after a bad day, Spidey felt a little depressed.

Injuries, death threats, escapes and Eddie Brock's bizarre changes had left the fledgling superhero, a mere high school student, in reality, a bit overwhelmed. Even his conviction, which was firmly established during Uncle Ben's incident, gradually wavered.

'Maybe, I should just be an ordinary high school student, as Aunt May asked.'

Clutching the spider web and wandering through New York's high-rises, the young spider started to reflect on the time he had spent as a superhero.

"Isn't that ...?"

However, just then, in front of Stark Industries, a conspicuous red food truck caught the little bug's eye.

The spider mutation gave him a superhuman vision, which helped Peter recognise the figure in the food truck. It was the guy who had used a steel staff to deflect bullets during that bank robbery incident.

Thinking of that, the little spider's expression changed. He released the spider web in his hands, nimbly did a back flip, and landed in front of the food truck.

"Spider-Man?!"

As a superhero who had been active in New York these days, the little spider had gained popularity. He had attracted a lot of love from New Yorkers, especially after getting a new outfit. The friendlier press even went so far as to dub him the Spider Kid, the New York Bug, to show the New Yorkers' approval of the young superhero.

Of course, among them, the Daily Bugle had always maintained its usual opposition, calling him a wall-climbing public nuisance and the worst example of a New York teenager.

After taking photos with the excited citizens of New York, Spidey remembered his original purpose. He looked up at the busy [Shell] in the food truck and took a deep breath. He then stepped forward and greeted, "Hello again, Sir."

"You are?"

Frowning, Shell looked at the little spider that appeared in front of him.

Naturally, he knew who the other party was, and he even fought with the other party as Venom a short while ago. However, in order to maintain his [Shell] persona, the lofty chef, he had to wear a bewildered expression.

"From before... the bank robbery incident... I'm... I'm sorry about your truck back then."

The little spider spoke up, reminding him.

"That was you? " Nodding his head, Shell looked up and down at the little spider in front of him again, "You've got a new mask."

"That's right!" When he heard [Shell] mention his new suit, the spider subconsciously straightened his not-so-wide chest and replied in a proud tone, "As I said before, that one was a work in progress."

The spider had always remembered that Shell had complained about his outfit being ugly, so he went through a lot of trouble to create a new suit that he was happy with. He went through a dozen designs before finally settling on this red and blue version of his outfit, with a large spider logo on the chest.

Regardless of what others may say, Peter, himself felt that he looked absolutely awesome in his new suit.

"You're happy with it, that's nice..."

Raising an eyebrow, Shell lightly replied back while handing over some steamed dumplings at the same time.

"What's this?"

Looking at the steaming, tantalising aroma of the dish Shell handed to him, Peter couldn't help but gulp under the mask and wondered a little.

"Try it."

Gently setting the dumplings down in the little spider's hands, Shell still spoke in an indifferent tone.

"Why?"

Feeling the heat coming from his hands, the young spider's expression was a little confused.

"Because I thought you could use a little food right now."

'After all, you were beaten so badly just then.'

In the antique shop, Ryan kept the second half of the sentence in his heart and moved [Shell] to answer.

"Oh, oh... Thanks. Thank you."

Not knowing what Ryan was thinking, the young spider was touched by [Shell]'s gesture and thanked him in a fumbling manner before looking down at the steamed dumplings in his hands. His eyes were slightly red.

"How come you're never that nice to me?"

Just then, a slightly frivolous voice rang out from mid-air. In the next second, Tony controlled his iron armour and descended from the sky. Looking at Shell inside the food truck, he grumbled in a familiar tone.

"Tony Stark?!"

Seeing Tony appearing in front of them without warning, the spider's expression was a little excited.

After all, part of the reason why he chose to become a superhero was due to the inspiration from Iron Man.

"Hey, kid."

At his words, Tony opened his protective mask to reveal a slightly haggard face. He turned his head and examined Peter, "Nice outfit."

"I made it myself."

When he heard Tony compliment him on his new outfit, the young spider had a giddy feeling of excitement. He managed to suppress his inner excitement and replied with a proud smile.

Tony didn't expect that his casual greeting would elicit such a reaction from the little spider. He raised his eyebrows at the somewhat rambling little spider and regretted his casual greeting before. He turned his head to look at the food truck, where Shell, who had stopped what he was doing, looked at him with a gloating expression.

Grimacing, Tony rolled his eyes. He was about to say something else to the excited little spider.

But then, he noticed the spider web launchers on the other party's wrists.
