104 MUP: Chapter 103. Chaotic Battle

Stark industries.

As a secretary, Pepper successfully sneaked into Obadiah's office, took out the lock chip that Tony gave her and inserted it into the computer.

With the chip in operation, the information in the computer was beginning to be deciphered. Pepper discovered a great deal of information in it, not only about Obadiah's private arms sales but also other significant evidence. Through the decryption of a folder, Pepper discovered that Obadiah was working on a secret research and development project in Sector 16 of the Stark factory, and the product of this project was steel battle armour.

Pepper looked at the armour shown in the blueprints and subconsciously frowned.

The armour shown in the data was very similar to what she saw in Tony's home before but was significantly larger, as if it were a larger and thicker version of the steel battle armour.

Afterwards, Pepper found further significant evidence among the computer's files.

Video evidence of Obadiah's private collaboration with Afghan militants to kidnap Tony.

"Oh my God!"

Pepper muttered, hastily operating the computer and transferring all the contents to the chip.

At this moment, however, Obadiah's voice came from outside the door.

"So, what are we going to do about this?"

"I know what you're going through, Pepper. Ah, Tony, he always gets the good stuff, doesn't he?" Obadiah went to his liquor bar and opened a bottle.

Pepper was startled by Obadiah's sudden arrival. With a forced smile on her face, she secretly picked up the newspaper in front of the computer to cover the chip and carefully changed the desktop to display the screen saver.

"Was so happy... when he came home. It was like he got back from the dead..." Obadiah said as he approached Pepper with a glass of bourbon.

In the past, Pepper might have been moved by Obadiah's remarks, but after finding out that he was the mastermind behind Tony's kidnapping, Pepper felt nothing but deep fear.

"Now I realise... well, Tony never really did come home, did he? He left a part of himself in that cave. It breaks my heart."

"Well, he's a complicated person. Tony's been through a lot."

"You are a very rare woman, Pepper. Tony doesn't know how lucky he is."

"Thank you. Thanks."

Through a conversation with Obadiah, Pepper succeeded in delaying enough time for the chip to finish copying.

Then, Pepper quickly covered the chip with the newspaper, got up and left the seat.

"I'd better get back there; there's a lot waiting for me."

"Is that today's newspaper? " At that moment, Obadiah suddenly spoke and asked Pepper, who was about to walk out of the door.

"Yes." Stopping, Pepper's expression looked a little nervous.

"Do you mind?" As he spoke, Obadiah stepped forward and reached for the newspaper.

"No, not at all."

Raising her hand and passing the newspaper in her hand to Obadiah, Pepper took the opportunity to tuck the chip away in the palm of her hand.

"Then I'll go first."

"Take care."

Pretending to be calm and saying goodbye to Obadiah, Pepper turned and glanced down at the chip in her hand, then picked up her pace and ran downstairs.

On the other hand, Obadiah examined the paper and threw it away. He walked back to his desk and woke up his computer screen. He found two big words on his screen, download complete.

"Shit!"

Seeing that, Obadiah's face changed. He quickly turned around and headed for the elevator room in pursuit.

Arriving downstairs, Pepper then saw the agent who had approached her earlier sitting there.

"Miss Potts? We had an appointment. Did you forget about our appointment?" Agent Coulson asked as he noticed Pepper walking down the stairs in a hurry.

"Nope. Right now. Come with me."

"Right now?"

"Yeah, walk with me." Looking back, she glanced at Obadiah standing in the corridor on the second floor. Pepper spoke while panicking, "I'm going to give you the meeting of your life. Your office."

  ...

Although Pepper successfully discovered Obadiah's secret through the chip and got the help of Agent Coulson, it was obviously too late.

Obadiah successfully got the energy core from Tony's chest and started up his own Iron Monger.

"Pepper."

Outside Stark's factory, with the help of Pepper's gift, his first miniature ark reactor, Tony was speeding towards it in his own steel armour.

"Tony, Tony, are you okay?" After escaping from the factory, Pepper looked flustered as she spoke to Tony on the phone, "Obadiah, he's gone insane! He ..."

"I know, Pepper, listen. You'd better get out of there!"

In mid-air, Tony shouted to Pepper on the other side while rapidly flying towards her location.

However, it was obvious that his reminder was a little late.

With a huge roar and the sound of gravel cracking, Obadiah piloted the Iron Monger to punch his way out of the basement.

"Where do you think you're going?" Through the thick steel armour, Obadiah's voice was slightly distorted. Raising his arm, the magazine in his hand spun, ready to fire, "Your services are no longer required."

"Hey, Stane!"

However, before Obadiah could finish his sentence, the sound of a familiar voice from the sky made him subconsciously look up. He then saw a red figure rushing towards him.

Boom --

The huge impact caused Tony and Obadiah to smash through the wall like two heavy cannonballs and fall onto the busy road, causing a series of traffic accidents.

"Tony, you're not dead yet?"

Raise his hand while deflecting a car that was speeding towards him, Obadiah looked at the 'small' steel armour in front of him and spoke with surprise in his tone.

"Surprisingly, no." Under the mask, Tony picked his eyebrow and replied with his usual iconic expression.

"Let's see if you come back to life after this." As Obadiah spoke, he got up, lifted a car full of people, and turned to Tony.

"Put them down! "

"Collateral damage, Tony."

In the middle of the road, Obadiah and Tony fought each other in their steel armours.

In the distance, on top of a tall building, a man in a white spotted suit with a bobbed haircut was staring at the scene on the road with his arms crossed and his head held high.

Noticing the scene of Obadiah lifting the car, he slightly frowned. He then jumped off the roof of the building with his arms open and no protection on him.

"Sticky Fingers!"
