Chapter 191. Journey Together (Part1)

Looking at the figure on the deserted road, Jane hesitated and slowly lowered the speed.

"Why are you stopping?"

Thor was puzzled when he noticed the van gradually coming to a stop.

"Because someone needs help." Stepping on the brake, Jane explained to Thor, "Maybe he needs a ride. We can help him if it's on the way."

"Is it because he stuck his thumb out?" Thor's gaze swept over the figure standing on the roadside, not really feeling much for the outfit he was wearing. After all, everyone in Asgard dressed oddly and looked no different to his eyes.

Jane: "Yes."

"We don't do that in Asgard." With a shrug, Thor couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, "Usually, we just shout or simply take a horse."

"At least on earth, that's what we do."

Jane was now used to Thor's nonsense. She replied to Thor in the passenger seat, then pulled down the window and smiled kindly at Bucciarati, who was standing on the side of the road, "So, are you going down this road?"

"We're going up west."

Through the car window, Bucciarati noticed the tall blond man in the passenger seat, immediately narrowed his eyes and nodded to Jane in the driver seat, "That's right."

"Get in."

Jane waved to Bucciarati, gently welcoming him.

...

Vroom --

Starting the van and driving down the deserted road, Jane looked through the rear-view mirror at Bucciarati in the back seat. When the other person got in the van, she didn't notice how unusual his attire was, and it didn't look like what New Mexico residents would wear.

"So, where are you going?"

After driving the car for some distance, Jane couldn't help asking Bucciarati.

Sideways, looking out of the car window at the monotonous scenery, hearing Jane's query, Bucciarati silently withdrew his own gaze. He turned his gaze to Jane in the driver's seat and replied, "I heard that a crater has appeared around here."

Hearing Bucciarati's words, Thor's expression involuntarily changed.

Deliberately ignoring Thor's expression, Bucciarati continued to reply, "I'm looking for a guy, to stop him from doing something dangerous."

"I don't care what rumours you've heard and why you are heading there." Frowning, Thor turned to look at Bucciarati behind him and warned, "But, you are doomed for disappointment. Mjolnir does not belong to you."

"And why is that?"

Tilting his head slightly and looking at Thor on the other side, Bucciarati asked with the same indifferent expression.

"Thor."

In the driver's seat, Jane realised that there was something wrong with the atmosphere between the two, and she quickly called out with a warning tone.

However, it was clear that her persuasion didn't have any effect.

Thor looked at Bucciarati and nodded without hesitation: "I think you're wasting your time. Maybe you should get off right now."

"Sticky Fingers!"

In the face of Thor's warning, Bucciarati simply bowed his head, hooked his mouth and softly chanted out.

In the next moment, a grey and blue humanoid creature emerged from behind him with a strange "Ari Ari Ari!" chant. It suddenly attacked Thor.

"What?!"

Although he had lost his divine power, and he couldn't see the Stand emerging from behind Bucciarati, Thor was aware of the dangerous aura because of the keen sense he had formed after decades of battles. Unfortunately, although sensing the unusual aura from the Stand, Thor's fighting instinct was greatly limited by the narrow space in the van.

By the time he reacted, the Stand's attack had reached his fist.

With a dull thud, Thor's arm, which had been hit by [Sticky Fingers], changed, and a huge metal zip appeared on top of his arm. Pulling the zipper, Bucciarati easily removed Thor's burly arm.

"What the...?!"

"Ah!!"

With a loud scream, Jane suddenly stepped on the brakes.

Fortunately, they were driving in the middle of nowhere, down a dirt road with no pedestrians or shops at the side of the road. Jane's sudden brake didn't cause any accidents.

Slamming on the brakes, Jane looked at Thor's missing arm in a panic and shouted with a panicked look on her face, "Thor, you're arm! Hospital! Let's go to the hospital right now!"

Compared with the panicked Jane, Thor, as the party concerned, was calmer. He touched his severed arm, and his eyes were still on Bucciarati in the back seat. In a low voice, he consoled Jane, who was at a loss, "Jane, calm down, I don't think it's that bad. I don't think it's actually severed ..."

Yes, although it looked scary, Thor had a feeling that his arm wasn't really sliced off.

"Huh?!" Hearing Thor's remark, Jane, who was flustered, finally calmed down a little. She looked at Thor's missing arm and began to notice something unusual. If Thor's arm was really severed, then the wound should have been bleeding by now. However, Jane looked at the place where Thor's arm was broken, let alone blood, she couldn't even see a wound. Instead, there was an odd circle of zipper teeth at the stump.

"How did this happen?!"

As the initial panic passed, the expression on Jane's face turned to surprise.

"Perhaps you should ask him..."

Facing Jane's amazement, Thor stared at the arm in Bucciarati's and answered.

Bucciarati's odd display of abilities was a problem for even the battle-hardened Thor, not to mention the fact that he was only supposed to be an ordinary mortal at the moment.

'I wonder, if I replace my arm with Thor's arm, would I be able to lift Mjolnir?'

In the antique shop in New York, Ryan looked at the burly arm through Bucciarati's eyes and thought to himself.

However, he quickly denied the idea. The prerequisite to lifting the hammer was obviously more than just the arm, which perhaps had more to do with the divine power from Asgard or Thor's divinity. Meaning that even if Ryan replaced his arm with Thor's, he wouldn't necessarily be able to pick up Mjolnir.

What's more, looking at the thick and hairy arm in the clone's hand, Ryan didn't have much desire to put it on his own body.

"You have two choices."
