(The wedding day.)
Chapter thirty four:
Today was the wedding day and I wasn't really nervous except for Wanda liking my vows. I was really excited. A lot of people complain about weddings being stressful but this one wasn't. We knew what we wanted and it was relatively simple to do. We had the venue, Mia and Giuseppe had agreed to do the food and we just created a playlist to connect to the speakers. The ceremony was set up just outside the lake of the cabin. There was a little stage for the ceremony as well as chairs for every guest. It looked beautiful. Getting dressed you started to feel the sheer volume of the occasion. Wanda stayed in the cabin with Mary Jane Watson, Carol Danvers, Hope Van Dyne and Cassie Lang who was helping Wanda get dressed. When I was dressed, I headed to the lounge to get my hair done. Mom, Jordan and dad was waiting for me there. I then walked in and their faces lit up. Dad then started to get teary which made us laugh.
"You look amazing sweetie." My mom said before giving me a hug. We all had a group hug before heading to the photographer so he could get some pictures of us.
Soon after the guest started to arrive. Everyone looked so smart. Peter Parker even looked adorable. When Mary Jane Watson arrived he couldn't stop smiling. It was the cutest thing that I had ever seen. As more people started to take their seats Sam Wilson walked me down the aisle and we smiled at everyone as we passed.
"You ready Travis?" Said Jordan.
"Completely." I replied before giving my vows a quick look over. The officiator stared at the front on the little stage and greeted me as he passed. As the music started to play Here Comes the Bride.
As everyone started to stand up. I took a deep breath to calm myself and turned around, as my nerves fell away I saw Wanda walking down the aisle.
She was ethereal. And I couldn't help but smile. She was going to be my wife. I just couldn't take my eyes off of Wanda. I didn't even blink.
"You look so perfect. God I'm in love with you." I whispered to her.
"I love you more than you'll know." Replied Wanda. Bucky Barnes then passed her over to me.
Wanda then took my hands in hers and I gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.
The officiator then started the service. And it was absolutely lovely. He then asked for our vows so I decided to go first. "Wanda, my love, my soon to be wife. Before I met you I was heading down a path that was lonely and isolating. But whenever you smiled at me a want, a need to know the person behind that smile. I'm so glad that I did. I got to know the person who saved me. You helped me go through my trauma supporting me through the past year regardless. When I was on the edge of collapse you pulled me back in. The whole time I was away from you and just the thought of being in your arms got me through. You make me a better person. You teach me and push me to be a better person. You knocked down the walls that I built around my heart and replaced them with everyone we love and I promise to fight for you every single day, that I will make you smile every day and most importantly I promise that I show you how much I love you every single day even on the days when you're sad or completely hate me. I cannot wait to be your husband. I love you so much Wanda more than you will ever know. You're my home Wanda." I said. By the end of my vows we were both in tears but you could mainly hear Jean Grey cry which made us laugh.
Wanda then took a deep breath. "I've never had a way with words so I don't know how I'm going to top that. Travis before I met you I had closed my heart having lost every person that I loved. Something about you was infectious I just had to be around you and I just had to get to know you. Slowly but surely with your kindness and affection you fought your way into my heart. Never for a second did I doubt your love for me because you showed me every day. You made me feel thing's that I never did before. I promise you as I promised your family that I will make you happy for the rest of our lives. That I will love you and protect you making you feel safe within our love and within my arms. You make everyday feel so special. Thank you for loving me and showing me that love can last. I love you Travis and I promise to never let you go or cheat on you. Just as I know that you would never cheat on me Travis." Replied Wanda so beautifully. By the end of it everyone was was crying.
"By the power infested in me by the state of New York I announce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Said the officiator.
I just smiled before pulling Wanda close to me and kissed her long and passionately on the lips. Everyone then stood up and cheered. And Wanda and I walked down the aisle as husband and wife.
