Chapter fifty:

"Are you sure that this is the right place?" Said Clea.

"I'm sure." Replied Doctor Strange.

Doctor Strange and Clea walked up to the small steps on the porch. I waited for Wanda who suddenly froze in one place. Wanda Maximoff was afraid of what everyone might say and think about her. Being corrupted by the Darkhold was mostly contained and took place outside this universe so the chances of them knowing about all that was slim, but everyone knew about Westview. The entire world knew.

"What's the matter babe?" I said.

It's been a couple of minutes for Wanda's emotions to calm down after the tragedy that just happened on the island. Wanda Maximoff's tremors were not completely gone yet as her hands was still shaking ever so slightly, her heart was still experiencing immense pain. However, she slowly began getting her speech back after the momentarily became completely mute.

"Why are you stopping? The door is right there." I replied.

"Travis I... Can't." Said Wanda Maximoff.

"Can't what?" I replied.

"I..." Said Wanda Maximoff.

"She can't go inside. She is afraid to face all these people who once knew her... After everything she's done." Replied Doctor Strange.

Wanda Maximoff was surprised that Doctor Strange knew exactly how she felt right at that moment.

"How did you?" Said Wanda Maximoff.

Doctor Strange walked down the steps and put his hands on her shoulders.

"Because I know you. Wanda. I don't just know you... As I told you before, a part of me has become you. A part of your essence, a part of who you are... Lives in me now... And frankly... I think it's making me a better person." Replied Doctor Strange.

Doctor Strange knew now more than ever that Wanda has a good heart. After he started to see the world through her eyes and through her heart, he's done deeds and felt emotions that would never even cross his mind. Things only found in a very empathetic, kind hearted person.

"I know how your feeling right now because a part of me feels it too." Said Doctor Strange.

"They won't... Accept me." Replied Wanda Maximoff.

"I'll talk to them. I'll tell them about everything that happened. You can stay outside if you like. You can come inside when you feel more comfortable." Said Doctor Strange.

"I'll stay with Wanda, but I think it's best that you don't tell them everything completely, about the prophecy and all that. Let's just keep it between us for now." I replied.

"I got it, don't worry." Said Doctor Strange.

Doctor Strange then opened the door. Clea went along with him and they walked towards the meeting room where they met with multiple glares from every single hero who was present.

"Finally, the wizard decided to show up." Replied Sam Wilson.

"Strange? Where have you been? And who is this?" Said Wong.

"She's a ally... I assume you are all aware of the incursion, right? That's why you came together?" Replied Doctor Strange.

Wanda Maximoff then decided to go inside of the building. I followed her inside and we walked to the room where the other heroes was at. But we didn't either it yet. We stood outside of the room in the corner. Wanda Maximoff still had to collect herself before steeping out from behind the wall to reveal herself through the open door.

Doctor Strange saw Loki (the god of stories) amongst them and looked at him confused.

"I'm not even going to ask why he is here or more importantly, how he is even alive." Said Doctor Strange.

"It's a very long story, but he was actually the one that brought us together." Replied Thor.

Now Doctor Strange was even more confused, he glanced at the newest heroes such as the Fantastic Four and Daredevil.

"I assume that this is our universes version of the Fantastic Four? Where have you guys been?" Said Doctor Strange.

"It's complicated." Replied Ant- Man.

"You said something about the incursion, whatever that is. It's not the reason we came together." Said Carol Danvers.

"What? Okay, look there is no time for whatever this is. I was under the impression that you came together because of the incursion. If it's not stopped, our entire universe could perish." Replied Doctor Strange.

"There's your reason for the earthquakes, Princess Shuri." Said Rocket.

"A incursion is upon us and our entire universe is in imminent danger, but I might have a solution." Replied Doctor Strange.

Wanda Maximoff slowly walked in along with me. We walked into the room while everyone looked at each other. The last time they saw Wanda was at Tony's funeral, before it all went downhill. Before it all came tumbling down for her.

The others never fought alongside Wanda Maximoff and never knew her only knew about everything she did in Westview and what she did in Kamar- Taj so they obviously had a worse image of her than everyone else in the room who already knew her to a extent.

Wong was the most shocked since Wanda Maximoff attacked Kamar Taj and killed many of his friends while nearly killing him in Wundagore. By seeing Wanda standing there just a few feet away, America Chavez was struck with fear as she took a few steps backwards. Over a year ago, Wanda Maximoff did unspeakable thing's in order to get America Chavez. She was under the corruption of the Darkhold though.

Wanda Maximoff and America Chavez was also confused over the fact that she was not dead. (They were the only ones who knew about the events of Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.)

Wong did not think twice. His instincts took over as he conjured two orange magical shields.

"Strange! How dare you bring that witch into this room. How is she even alive?" Said Wong.

"Wanda?" Replied Hawkeye.

"How can you bring her here?" Said America Chavez.

"I could ask you all the very same thing! Loki has killed how many countless people and he almost destroyed New York! Now he's here and your all just like. No he's fine now. That doesn't seem very fair, does it?" Replied Doctor Strange.

The way he reacted was exactly what Wanda was thinking at that very moment.

"Sorry... I didn't mean that... What I'm trying to say is that Wanda is not a threat. So calm down." Replied Doctor Strange.

Wanda Maximoff knew that this is how they would react. Even though she prepared herself for this confrontation, she felt guilty but also saddened and misunderstood. The way they looked at her in hatred was enough to make her want to walk out and cry.

"Please... I'm.. I'm not... here to cause trouble." Said Wanda Maximoff.

"You have ten seconds to explain to me what in the hell is going on." Replied Wong.

I then walked forward in front of Wanda Maximoff in a protective manner. I looked at the heroes with a worried expression.

"We're here because we need your help." I said.
