(Planning for the wedding.)

Chapter thirty one:

Wanda had been thinking a lot as it neared the wedding and who to ask to give her hand away. Bucky was a option but he was already my best man and would be stood next to me at the top of the aisle as I waited for Wanda. Wanda then thought about my dad but that didn't seem quite right. Maybe Magneto. He really looked out for Wanda while I was gone and made sure that she was ok. When Wanda was really sad he would call Carol Danvers to check on Wanda as he knew she was the only one that Wanda would let in. Magneto talked Wanda through the whole process of what would happen to me in Wakanda. It had to be Eric Lehnsherr.

"Hey babe." Said Wanda as she was cuddled into me.

"Yes my love?" I replied.

"What do you think about Magneto giving me away?" Said Wanda.

"I think that sounds like a wonderful idea. I'm pretty sure that Sam and Monica are on a date and Peter is busy face timing MJ so this would be a pretty good time." I replied before kissing her on the lips.

Wanda then got up to go find Magneto. And found him in the lounge dancing to a old song on the radio.

Whenever he heard Wanda he ran over and turned it off.

"You've got some nice moves there father." Said Wanda.

"Whatever I thought that I was alone." Replied Eric Lehnsherr.

"I actually have something to ask you." Said Wanda.

"Sure." Replied Eric Lehnsherr as they both sat down on the couch together.

"I was hoping that you would be willing to give me away? If you don't want to that's completely fine. I just thought that you would be the perfect for the job. You kept me going while Travis was gone. We both would've been lost without you." Said Wanda.

"It would be an honor." Replied Eric Lehnsherr and Wanda was really excited for the big day.

While Wanda went ask Eric Lehnsherr about giving her away I went back to writing my vows. I didn't want to just say the one's that the officiator tells you to say. I wanted them to be special. Everything about my relationship with Wanda was special so I didn't want it to be any different. The last few days I had been writing a few sentences and sending them to Jean Grey to see if she liked them and what I should change. I just wanted them to be perfect. I only had one chance to get this right and I was going to do it properly. Starting off I wrote down all of our best moments what I said in those moments, when I left. Bringing up those memories all those memories made me emotional. In a year Wanda and I had experienced so much together. Now I'm not saying that it was all plain sailing but all of the hurt was worth it and it all led up to this very moment. Sometimes I have to take a moment to just appreciate what I have. It almost seemed like a dream.

"He said yes." Said Wanda as she opened the door.

"I knew he would. Do you want to go and sit outside for a bit on our bench? We haven't really done it in a while." I replied.

When we reached the bench Wanda rested her head on my shoulder. This was just a bliss. It was strange to think when we first found the bench one of us was always crying but now it just reminded us how far we came. I didn't realize how cold it was and I started to shiver. Wanda then wrapped her scarf around my neck and held me tight to keep me warm. Wanda was so thoughtful.

"Should we go back inside now?" Said Wanda. I just nodded in agreement and it was too cold to be outside. We then sat down on the sofa together and watched a romantic comedy and saw that it started to snow outside.

"I really love you. You know that right Travis?" Said Wanda as she sat down and handed me a cup of hot chocolate. I just smiled at her and made her heart skip a beat.

"I do. And thank you for always showing me and telling me how much you love me. I never really had that before I met you. That's one of the reasons why I love you. I can't wait to call you my wife." I replied.

"What are we going to do about our last names?" Said Wanda.

"I'd like to take yours if that's ok. I just want the connection with my birth parents to be gone and Jean is carrying out the family name." I replied.

"I would love that." Said Wanda.
