(Our first mission together.)

Chapter sixteen:

Last night was epic. I've never felt so at one with anybody. I woke up still exhausted but happy smiling down at my love who was sleeping on my chest. Today we were going to be sent on our first mission. Sam said we had to be in the equipment room by midday so he could assign us roles and give us our suits. Wanda and I decided to tell the others that we were dating once the mission was finished and we were tired of sneaking around. I looked at the clock and it was 9am so I got up took a shower and got dressed having moved some of my clothes into the cabin where we stayed.

Whenever I was ready I woke Wanda up with a kiss and she looked radiant as ever. "Morning." I said. Wanda just smiled at me.

"I'm still tired. But last night was really amazing but the timing of terms of the mission was not a good idea." Replied Wanda.

"It's fine we don't have to have sex again." I said teasing Wanda. With that her eyes went wide before she pulled me down to kiss her.

"That's not what I meant." Replied Wanda before winking at me. God really is a woman.

When she's done getting dressed we had down to have some breakfast before we met Sam in the equipment room. Wanda looked tired so I picked her up and whisked her just outside of the kitchen. Wanda then smiled and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek before entering the room. I waited a few minutes before going in to get my breakfast.

Everyone else was already sat down eating dinner when I arrived. It was quiet and you could feel the nerves in the room. Monica and I barely ate. You could tell Peter was nervous because he spoke faster than usual. It soon became time to head to the equipment room. I felt myself began to tense up and was breathing heavily. Wanda then grabbed my hand. Telling me that it was okay.

Wanda was with me. Sam then pressed a button and we saw Nick Fury on screen. "Okay today your mission is to prevent a arms deal. There's some sketchy hydra agents who are trying to sell some nuclear materials to some dodgy people. They've stolen a shipment of vibraium from Wakanda your task is to recover the vibranium and stop the sale. I've sent coordinates to the jet. Sam will be running points on the mission. No mistakes." Said Nick Fury.

Talk about throwing us into the deep end. Sam looked very happy to take charge. He started to pass around our suits. Wanda had on a red dress with a red crown. She looked beautiful. Sam then passed me this red jacket, black pants and Wanda made me a crown with her red chaos magic in order to match her. As we boarded the jet I felt a sense of pride. This was an honor and I was going to make the most of it. As we were riding along Sam outlined the ship. We were going to find the ship coming into port alongside the east end of Brazil. Wanda and Monica would take the back of the ship Sam and Bucky was going to take the front of the ship. Peter and I was supposed to evacuate the surrounding to ensure that there was no collateral casualties.

There was a noise coming from the pub behind me. I turned around keeping both of my eyes on the webbed buyer's. Calling for backup I heard a sound of a knife behind me. Before I could do anything the person had it at my throat. Clearly not knowing about my super speed I grabbed his hand and using my super speed sent him flying into the air and into the ocean. Behind me all I could see was Monica and Peter clapping.

"What are you clapping for you guys did all of the hard work I just did the baby sitting." I said. Wanda just smiled at me but looked in pain. Sam then called Fury and the hydra agents were arrested and taking in for questioning. There was still a weapon out there though. We knew that would be our next assignment.

Scarlet Witch was in pain so I carried her back to the jet until we got her some pain killers. We found it was coming from where she was thrown into a pipe hitting her ribs and hip. They had a scanner to check to see if anything was broken but thankfully she had just bruised them. Luckily there was ice packs onboard the jet. And I was relieved.

"You know you may be the most attractive baby sitter ever." Said Wanda. I just smiled at her before blushing.

When we got back we continued to ice Wanda's ribs and hips. Everyone was tired except for me. I was annoyed and very upset with myself. I felt like I hadn't done enough. Maybe if I had done more than maybe Wanda wouldn't have gotten hurt. Seeing that Wanda was okay I headed straight to the training center. I then started to punch the bag in front of me over and over again out of anger. Then I headed to the track running again and again until I couldn't run anymore.

"Hey Travis? What's wrong?" Said Sam Wilson.

"I didn't do enough. I should've done more. Wanda wouldn't have gotten hurt if I had done more." I replied.

"Bruises are a part of the job. You can't stop anyone from getting bruises. Come back inside Wanda has been asking for you." Said Sam Wilson.

Sam Wilson then brought me into the lounge where everyone sat and was still recovering from the mission and eating Chinese food. Wanda had made sure that they ordered my favorite Chinese food honey walnut shrimp and noodles.

I went and sat next to Wanda being careful not to hurt her ribs or hip. Wanda then slapped me across the face telling me that it wasn't my fault that she had gotten hurt and never to blame myself because of it ever again. Before resting her head on my shoulder.

"When are you going to tell us that you are dating?" Said Monica and she caused me to choke on my noodles.

"They're dating?" Replied Peter Parker.

"Yes Peter we're dating." Said Wanda before kissing me on the cheek.

"I owe MJ $200 then." Replied Peter. I then got up before going into the kitchen and grabbed $400 dollars.

"The $200 is for your bet with MJ and the other $200 is for you to take her out on a date." I replied.

This is one messed up family but I wouldn't change it for the entire world.
