(Death to the queen of chaos.)

Chapter fifty five:

Back in our main universe, the world has lost all hope, the Incursion is destroying everything in this reality. Time is running out and the entire city of New York is torn apart. In the middle of the streets stood a group of heroes, embracing Wanda in their arms as they waited for the rest to come and kill her to stop the Incursion War and keep Kang the Conquer from getting to her. These heroes are the ones who did not have the heart to do what must be done. They are Hope Van Dyne, Nebula, Mary Jane Watson, Carol Danvers, Cassie Lang, and Kate Bishop.

They held Wanda tightly in their arms, standing around her with tears rolling down their faces. Hugging her as a means to say goodbye. Bidding her farewell to someone they hold dear to their hearts, someone who doesn't deserve any of this. Someone who is willing to sacrifice her own life so that others may live. Never in her entire lonely, traumatic life has Wanda ever felt this kind of warmth. The embrace of five people holding her in their arms like family. It reminded her of what she always wanted from the start... All she ever wanted in her life... Being loved.

It made her long for the day that she knew will never come. Not anymore at least. She only had a minute left to live, but the thought that she could have a happy life stuck with her. She is reminded of the heartfelt compliment that she had with me moments ago when I made her realize that her life has meaning. I gave her a small glimmer of hope again, hope for a future that will never come to pass. She knew what had to be done, but deep down she dreaded what comes next, just as any normal person would. Survival is the prime human instinct. Ignoring that instinct is like trying to keep your eyes open without blinking.

As they stood in a circle around her, hugging her tightly with heartfelt tears, every other hero from our universe and universe 838 came out of the portals. They walked in front of Wanda, ready to strike her down. Wanda took small gasps for air while her tears dropped onto the floor. The ones still hugging her didn't let go, they hugged her even tighter.

"Carol Danvers... It is time." Said Iron Man from universe 838.

Carol Danvers knew what Wanda felt at this moment. Because this is exactly what she felt inside of her as well. Cold feet. As they were hugging her, they could feel her body shaking in angst.

"Stop aside so that we can finish this." Replied Wolverine.

"We understand that this is hard, Carol. We are not heartless monsters... If there was any other way... I would never do this in a million years. But you gotta understand that countless lives are at stake... You have my word, we will try to make it as quick and painless as possible." Said Thor.

Carol Danvers sighed with dread in her heart. The ones holding Wanda lifted their heads and looked at each other with a aura of melancholy surrounding the area. They saw the fear and sadness in Wanda's face. They didn't want to let go, but they had to. Just as they tried to let her go, Wanda instinctively grabbed on to them, not letting go. She held Carol Danvers, Nebula, Mary Jane Watson, Hope Van Dyne, and Cassie Lang tighter while, Kate Bishop stood beside them. Wanda Maximoff whispered in a panicking tone while crying.

"I don't wanna do this." Said Wanda.

Her body and voice was trembling while looking at Carol Danvers and the A-Force team with fear and sadness in her eyes.

"I don't wanna do this. Please... Please don't let go. I can't do this. I don't... I don't wanna die." Replied Wanda.

"I'm sorry Wanda... I truly am." Said Carol Danvers.

Mary Jane Watson removed her mask, not worried about the rest seeing her face. She then put her forehead on Wanda's while they were both in tears.

"I know that this isn't right... But I promise you whatever happens... I won't leave your side. You are not alone Wanda. We're with you till the end of the line." Said Mary Jane Watson.

Everyone saw what was transpiring in front of them. Some was saddened over what they had to do, but they knew it had to be done. Kang the Conquer ordered White Vision to play along, so he slowly walked towards Wanda while she was holding Carol Danvers, Mary Jane Watson, and Nebula tightly. She didn't notice him yet since her sight was blocked by the ones around her.

"Wanda." Replied White Vision.

Wanda's heart melted when she heard his voice. She then let go of everyone and her eyes are completely locked on White Vision who was standing in front of her, alive and well. Wanda Maximoff walked slowly towards White Vision and touched his cheeks.

"Vision? Wh... H... How?" Said Wanda.

"I'm sorry for taking so long... Kang the Conquer took me. At the island... I managed to escape to warn everyone, but that's when I realized... That's when I realized that you are too dangerous to be kept alive." Replied White Vision.

Wanda Maximoff frowned and let go of his cheeks before walking backwards. I then stood by Wanda's side.

"You're not Vision." Said Wanda.

"Wanda, I'm sorry that it has to be this way." Replied White Vision.

White Vision lifted up and slowly flew into the air while looking at Wanda.

Wanda Maximoff was standing in front of everyone else while the ones that embraced her stood behind her. Wanda then looked at everyone in front of her and couldn't help but feel extreme pain in her heart. It was the worst feeling a person can experience, the feeling of betrayal. Everyone she's ever known, including White Vision, stood ready to end her life without a single thought. Over forty heroes was ready to strike Wanda Maximoff down. For a brief moment she was out in the open, with not blocking their way. For a moment Wanda was vulnerable to any sudden attack.

Kang the Conquer saw this from behind White Vision's eyes, but he knew that Wanda would not be killed easily. That's not what he wanted. He was succeeding in his goal... To make everyone turn against Wanda. Kang the Conquer then ordered White Vision to strike Wanda Maximoff with the mind stone.

So that's what White Vision did. It sent Wanda falling to the ground with great force. That was when a automatic forcefield instantly protected Wanda from the attack, causing the red chaos magic to only cause her slight pain. While Wanda was down, everyone else started striking Wanda Maximoff with their own ranged attacks from all sides, trying to end this quickly. I was thrown away from Wanda by Jean Grey's telekinesis.

Both Thor and Storm combined their lightning and directed it towards Wanda. Carol Danvers, Photon and Sentry shot Wanda with their cosmic energy. Iron Man 838 shot her with his repulsor blasts from his hands, Warmachine and used his machine guns. Bucky Barnes shot his pistol in Wanda's direction, doubting a bit, but he kept going. Shang- chi shot his rings at Wanda one by one. Starlord, Gamora, Nebula and Rocket used their advanced lazer guns. The Human Torch from earth 838 struck Wanda with his fire while Iceman shot multiple ice shards, Cyclops unleashed his full power, blasting Wanda Maximoff with his solar optic blast's from his eyes. Jean Grey joined in and used her Phoenix Force power at full range. The rest had no range attacks, so they stood and watched.

Everyone attacked Wanda Maximoff from all sides, but even with all this amount of power being thrown at Wanda, she was still alive in the middle of it all, in extreme pain, feeling everything while crying her heart out on the inside. Partially because of the pain, but mostly because of what they were doing to her. Wanda Maximoff whispered under her breath, begging them to stop.

Wanda Maximoff tried to speak but she was severely injured and barely able to stand up straight. Not to mention she was still completely emotionally drained from this whole nightmare. Her nightmare started back in Avengers Infinity War whenever Vision was ripped away from her and killed in front of her by Thanos the Mad Titan. Then being confronted by Agatha Harkness and everyone she knew at new Asgard, being the main reason for the Incursion, being the one person destined to destroy everything, being relentlessly attacked by nearly everyone she ever knew... She didn't even want to be here right now amongst the ones who just brutally attacked her.

Wanda Maximoff was tired, broken, and emotionally torn apart and saddened. Carol Danvers knew what Wanda wanted to ask, so she did it for her.

Charles Xavier touched Carol Danvers head with his two fingers and connected everyone telepathically. Everyone entered some sort of dream state while Charles Xavier showed them the previous Multiversal War. Revealing the truth to everyone. The truth that will change everything forever.
