(Couple quarrel.)

Chapter forty:

The Scarlet Witch shot a energy beam at Doctor Strange. Fortunately, the sorcerer's below conjured a force field using their hand shields around the temple.

Doctor Strange then flew back down to Wong. I just looked at Wanda, with a sad look, before following Doctor Strange.

"I say that we nailed it." Said Doctor Strange.

Back above, Wanda Maximoff looked at the barrier in anger and started flying around it. Wong then took notice of it.

"Reinforce the shields!" Replied Wong.

The sorcerer's started to make a barrier around Kamar- Taj as Wanda Maximoff kept shooting bolts at it.

Wanda Maximoff then stopped and looked at the shield and sorcerers. Many stared back, eyes filled with determination.

Doctor Strange then knew what she was going to do. I also knew it she was going to try and get into their heads.

"She's trying to get into their heads." I said.

The Sorcerer Supreme took the information and shouted at the Mystic Arts.

"Sorcerers! Fortify your mind!" Replied Wong.

Wanda Maximoff found one young magic user amongst the crowd. By the look on his face, she could tell that he was scared. Second by second as she stared at him... it became easier to get into his thoughts.

He stared back at the Scarlet Witch. Suddenly, he then felt a presence behind him. He didn't turn his head, out of immense fear of who it could be.

It was the Scarlet Witch. She then got closer to him.

"Run." Said Wanda Maximoff.

She then vanished. The young man's arms shook and his shields were flickering. But in the sky Wanda Maximoff looked down and began to smile.

The man then ran away, and ran into the other sorcerers and broke their focus on the barrier. The shield then opened up, which allowed Wanda Maximoff to form a large crimson red ball and shoot it at the temple.

It then hit the ground and sorcerers in the area flew back at the explosion. Large chunks of rubble launched at me and the others, but I protected them with a crimson red force field.

The force field around the temple then came down. Wong then looked at the Scarlet Witch.

"The shields are down!" Said Wong.

Wanda Maximoff then flew towards the temple. A sorcerer then used a cannon. To shoot at the Scarlet Witch with arrows and cannon fire, which one actually hit her. Wanda Maximoff then flew backwards before recovering.

She then looked at the towers and used her telekinesis to lift the group of sorcerers and the concert below them. She tore it apart and sent the magic user's flying.

"Take cover!" Said Sara, but the object impacted the area and she fell to the floor unconscious.

"Fire at will!" Replied Wong.

They fired at Wanda, but she dealt with the nuisance with ease.

The Scarlet Witch then shot beams at the sorcerer's on the ground. She then stopped the arrows mid air and blasted the towers before laying waste to the temple. Wong then looked at it in horror.

"Fall back!" Said Doctor Strange.

Wong then looked at me.

"You have to keep her busy." Replied Wong.

"What?" I said.

"The survivors needs a chance to escape, and we need to get America Chavez out of here." Replied Wong.

"I can't. I can't fight Wanda." I said.

"I know it's hard. But it's what needs to be done. That girl needs all the help that she can get. Even from the Scarlet Wizard." Replied Wong.

I just looked at Wanda who was still fighting the sorcerers. Immediately, I flew up towards her.

"Is this really what you are doing? Facing off against the love of your life Travis?" Said Wanda Maximoff.

"Look at what you're doing, Wanda. You're destroying their home! You're killing them!" I replied.

"They are keeping me from seeing my children again. Put yourself in my position and you would do the same thing Travis." Said Wanda Maximoff.

"This isn't you Wanda. The Darkhold... it's messing with your mind. Just like Agatha Harkness." I replied.

"Agatha Harkness really never knew how to use it. That's why she coveted my powers because it's the only way to utilize it at its full potential." Said Wanda Maximoff.

"Can you hear yourself speaking? That's how I know it's not you. Wanda... please." I replied.

Wanda Maximoff didn't say a word as her face was expressionless.

"Do you love me Travis? Or even want children at all?" Said Wanda Maximoff.

"Of course! I'll always cherish you Wanda. But Wanda... this is not who you are. And you have to accept that." I replied.

"If you really loved me or wanted kids... you wouldn't given up on me so easily. But a mother's love is unbreakable, and if someone's in the way of hindering that bond... That can make her dangerous." Said Wanda Maximoff.

The Scarlet Witch then shot a beam at me, but my reflexes was able to protect me.

My plan was not to attack. I couldn't get myself to harm Wanda Maximoff, even though she was intent on hurting me. I was on the defensive, mostly to buy Wong time.

Wanda Maximoff kept throwing crimson red energy bolts at me, and I blocked them with my force field. We then soared above Kamar- Taj in a aerial battle.

"I'm not going to fight you, Wanda!" I shouted at her.

"So be it!" Replied Wanda Maximoff.

I then landed on top of the roof, and Wanda dove down at me, but I used my phasing ability to drop through the roof. But before I could leave, Wanda Maximoff tore the roof off in order to expose me.

She then threw chunks of the roof at me, but I immediately flew out of the building. Before Wanda Maximoff could engage me again, I enabled my illusion.

The Scarlet Witch then floated into the air. There was no sign of me, but I wouldn't be hidden for long.

Wanda Maximoff then closed her eyes and she heard my thoughts from behind her. She then opened her eyes as they were glowing red. She then saw the outline of my soul in the distance, where she quickly shot me with a energy beam.

It then hit me and sent me flying down towards the temple. I was in pain as the red chaos magic hurt like hell.

Wanda Maximoff then landed in front of me. Her eyes were still red as she just looked at me.

"I warned you Travis." Said Wanda Maximoff.

I then started to cough up blood as I held my ribs. "I do love you, Wanda. And I always will." I replied.

"Save it Travis." Said Wanda Maximoff.

"You are my everything. And your right. If I was given the chance to be with you again... I'd take it... Being the love of your life is the best thing that ever happened to me." I replied.

The Scarlet Witch just stayed quiet and continued to look at me.

"Everything was easy because you were always there for me. You are my everything Wanda Maximoff. Even when nobody else wanted me, I still had you. After every dream, and nightmare, I knew that you was always there for me. That's what keeps me going Wanda." I said.

Wanda Maximoff's eyes then went back to normal.

"Aww. You always liked being the dominant one in the bedroom. But if you ever get in my way again then I will not hesitate to kill you." Replied Wanda Maximoff before flying away.
