Chapter 292 Got pranked [Edited]

Sullivan accepted the invitation from Zelrectch. And went to England immediately. The Clock Tower was located in London. He had never been to London before, so he went there by flying at a speed comparable to that of a fighter jet.

He broke through the sound barrier easily. As he soared through the sky, Sullivan marveled at the breathtaking aerial view of the cities below. The towering skyscrapers and iconic landmarks came into view, including the majestic Big Ben that stood tall amidst the bustling streets of London.

While flying, Sullivan thought about the clock tower.

The Clock Tower is the headquarters and main branch of the Mage's Association. Most of its workshops are underground, but otherwise it is mostly located inside the British museum.

It houses many sealing designated mages in the "Bottom of the Bridge" as they are considered too dangerous to be let out.

The Clock Tower is divided based on faculty and department, which are divided into 12 domains of mysticism.

There are several minor classes and five major ones. Everything is protected so that students just look like they are attending a normal university to onlookers and so that passersby will not wander in.

Sullivan landed at the front door of the museum. He used notice me not charm so no one saw him fly from Japan to England.

He walked to the front door before opening it. When he opened the door, it alerted everyone inside. Normally, when a magus wants to go inside, they need to verify themselves first. The clock tower had issued them a unique identification badge. Because it would prevent normal people from getting in.

Sullivan not only didn't have the identification badge, but he also didn't let a single prana outside. He didn't give off any feelings that he was any different from normal people.

How could someone like him open the door in the first place?

The magus responsible for guarding the front door was surprised when he saw a normal civilian without an ounce of prana open the door and walk inside like it was nothing.

He went toward him and stopped him from walking further inside.

"Stop right there. This place isn't open to the public."

The magus spoke sternly. If he let him walk inside like that. He would be punished due to a breach in security protocols.

The magus knew that allowing unauthorized individuals into the premises could lead to disastrous consequences, especially considering the valuable artifacts and secrets contained within.

He had a duty to protect the sanctity of the place and its inhabitants, even if it meant confronting someone who seemed ordinary but possessed an extraordinary ability to bypass magical barriers.

"Oh, but I was invited by Zelrectch... The old man told me that I could come in right away."

"Z-Zelrectch? You mean the Grand Marshal?"

The face of the magus went pale just by hearing his name. No ordinary person would know who Zelrectch was. And this young man in front of him knew Zelrectch and was invited by him. And he could come inside the museum easily. The magic barrier was useless against him.

"So can I ask you where the old man is? He told me to go to his office."

The magus hesitated for a moment, his eyes darting around nervously. He didn't know what to do in this kind of situation. The clock tower's master was a really strict person. If he let an unidentified person inside, he would be severely punished. But on the other hand, if he were really the guest of the Grand Marshal and he chased him out of the museum, He would also be punished.

Either way, the magus was caught between a rock and a hard place.

And as he was about to give up his fate and choose the lesser of two evils, Someone spoke to them first.

"Let him come. I will take care of this person myself."

The magus knew this voice because it etched itself in every magus in the clock tower's mind.

It was the voice of the tallest and most authoritative figure in the entire clock tower. The Clock Tower's master Barthomeloi Lorelai.

"Oh, so you are the lady who doesn't even know who she is!"

"Have you gone to see the doctor and checked if there is something wrong with your head yet?"

The magus was shocked by the audacity and disrespect he showed toward Barthomeloi Lorelai.

However, she remained composed, refusing to let his words affect her. She was above something like that.

"Your concern is unfounded.

She replied "calmly".

"I assure you, there is nothing wrong with my head. As for not knowing who I am, perhaps you should take a closer look before making assumptions."

Her presence exuded power. All the magus around them could feel an invisible force emanating from her, causing them to feel faint and insignificant in comparison.

It was clear that she possessed a level of strength and knowledge that surpassed their own. As she spoke, her words carried a weight that demanded respect and attention. It was evident that underestimating her would be a grave mistake.

But Sullivan just smiled kindly, disreguard of her powerful presence. It was like he was immune to her aura, unaffected by the force that seemed to overwhelm everyone else.

His calm demeanor only further emphasized the stark contrast between him and the rest of the magus in the room.

The magus that tried to stop him earlier felt that he had escaped death. If he were to disrespect him. He might be killed or tortured, leaving his sanity completely shattered.

Lorelei was surprised, but she kept it from showing really well.

She should know that a guest from someone like Zelrectch is not someone to be taken lightly.

However, she was still confident that she would be able to put him in his place.

"Please follow me. As you took your time in coming here. The Grand Marshal has something to do, so he leaves you in my care for the time being until he can come back."

Sullivan heard that, and he laughed.

"So it was like that. He pranked me huh. Well, Whatever"
