Chapter 248 Meeting with Salem [Edited]

In the land of darkness.

Salem gazed up at the shattered moon as she waited for the young god and his goddesses to arrive. She was initially perplexed as to why the young god would want to meet with her.

Wasn't he on the same side of Ozpin? But come to think of it. A god shouldn't be on anyone's side but himself.

She wasn't sure of why he wanted to meet with her but if she had to guess. She guessed that It must have something to do with the cage that held millions of souls.

The cage was something that was made from the divinity of the brother gods. She couldn't do anything about it. It was the curse that they cast upon humanity that they called failure.

They didn't care if it was a bad thing or not. To them they were just ants.

Salem thought about the young god and hoped that he didn't have the mind set as the twin gods.

'If they want to talk about the cage, I don't have a choice but to speak about the brother gods…'

Although she didn't want to talk about The Brother Gods. But if The Young God wanted to know about them. She could only tell him.

'And If the fight breaks out, even if the young god still hasn't attained his divinity yet, He should still be more powerful than me.'

Salem thought about what she should do to prepare for what to come.

She tried to think, but she couldn't find a good way. This was the first time in hundreds of years that she had encountered such a situation.

She had always been the one in control, the one who knew what to do. But now, faced with the possibility of a battle with the young god, she felt lost.

Salem knew that she had to come up with a plan, a strategy to protect herself from the young god. She couldn't afford to let her guard down, not when the stakes were so high.

With a deep breath, she closed her eyes and focused her thoughts. She needed to tap into her ancient wisdom, to find the answers buried within her.

As she was trying to think about the strategy. She then felt something in the air. It was a fluctuation of space magic.

Opening her eyes, Salem saw the young god standing before her, surrounded by his goddesses.

The air crackled with power, and she could feel the intensity of their presence.

She knew she had to act quickly. Summoning her own magic, Salem created an invisible protective shield around herself, hoping it would be enough to keep the power of the young god away from her.

She could sense his curiosity, but she refused to let him see her vulnerability.

As the young god approached, Salem greeted him with a calm demeanor, masking her true emotions. She had to play this carefully if she wanted to come out on top.

"Greeting the young god of the faraway land."

...

Sullivan had now come to the land of darkness. This was the first time he came here.

He could apparate here because of the help of Javis.

He sent him a location so he would be able to come here with everyone except Ai.

He didn't think that Salem would react strongly with his power. She tried to mask her astonished expression but it wasn't fast enough.

'She felt the power of my bloodline. And my devil side also resonates with her.'

Sullivan realized that Salem's reaction meant she had a deeper connection to his bloodline and devil side than he had anticipated. Intrigued by this unexpected revelation, he couldn't help but wonder what would happen if he were to try to use his hellfire on her.

Would she be consumed by the flames, or would they only fuel her power?

Sullivan couldn't shake off the curiosity and temptation to test the limits of their connection. But he needed to keep the curiosity in check first.

"Greeting the young god of the faraway land."

'Look like she knows that I am not someone from this world. Let's check her a little bit more then.'
