Chapter 2:

To understand his abilities, Dominic decided to test his newfound powers. He focused on the envelope, willing it to move again. To his amazement, it responded instantly, hovering in front of him confirming his telekinesis before moving it around his hand and making it float around his apartment. 'Alright, let's see what else I can do,' he thought. He focused on a chair, and with a mere thought, it lifted off the ground effortlessly. Next, he tried the coffee table, then the couch. Each object rose with minimal effort. 'This is surprisingly easy. It's almost as if my powers are a second nature, like moving an arm. I wonder how much I can lift?'

Curious, he attempted to lift himself. At first, he struggled, wobbling slightly off the ground before falling back. 'Come on, Dominic, focus. If you can lift furniture, you can lift yourself,' he thought, determined. After a few more tries, he managed to hover steadily. 'The more I try it, the easier it becomes. I need to keep practicing.'

Next, Dominic concentrated on his surroundings, testing his telepathy which he instantly regretted. He was instantly bombarded with a cacophony of thoughts from people nearby:

"Did I lock the door?"

"Shit shit shit that bitch went to the police"

"I can't believe she said that to me."

"I hope no one finds out about..."

"Gyaaaaaaaaaaaaaat"

The rush of information was overwhelming, a mix of mundane, disturbing, and even sickening thoughts. 'This is too much!' he panicked, focusing hard to tune down the mental noise. 'Filter it out, Dominic. Focus on what's important.' He managed to silence the intrusive thoughts, gaining control. 'So this is what most telepaths go through. I need to filter and focus.'

Turning his attention to his vision, Dominic noticed he could see with incredible clarity, much like the scene in *Man of Steel* where Superman learns to focus on the present. He observed atoms moving in the air, tiny particles colliding and creating a mesmerizing dance. Some sights were beautiful beyond words, while others were terrifying in their raw intensity. 'I can see so far and so close at the same time. This is... and disorienting,' he thought as his eyes shone a mesmerizing blue as if holding a planet in a gem, marveling at his new sight.

Testing his teleportation next, Dominic thought for a moment 'Alright, park first. Let's see if this really works.' He visualized the park, and in an instant he blinked out of existence, he was there. 'Holy crap, it actually worked!' he thought, excitement bubbling up. He then tried various other locations around the city. 'This is incredible. I can go anywhere I can picture.'

Finally, he teleported to a remote canyon, away from prying eyes. 'This should be a good place to test my limits,' he thought, surveying the rugged landscape.then to various other locations he could think about. Each jump was instantaneous and precise. Finally, he teleported back to the canyon, away from prying eyes.

In the canyon, he tested his telekinesis further, lifting rocks of various sizes. He started with small stones, then moved to larger boulders. 'Let's start small,' he thought, easily lifting a pebble. Gradually, he increased the size and weight. 'This one looks like a challenge,' he thought, focusing on a particularly massive rock. He managed to lift it, but it was difficult. 'Okay, that's heavy. How far can I push this?'

After several attempts, he found that his current limit was around 30 tons. 'Thirty tons... that's insane,' he thought, impressed with himself. He then tried using multiple powers at once, juggling several large rocks in the air with telekinesis, and also lifting himself with telekinesis he strained a bit before getting a hang of it after a few tries. His control improved with practice, and he decided to test a crazy idea:he started lifting the heavy rocks again and juggling them before trying to teleport short distances around the canyon.

At first, he failed, crashing to the ground repeatedly. 'This is harder than it looks,' he thought, frustrated. But he kept trying, refining his technique until he finally succeeded. He floated in the air, surrounded by spinning rocks and occasionally teleporting with the rocks. 'Yes! I did it!' The feat was exhilarating, an improvement to show his growing mastery over his powers.

Moving on to explore his limits, Dominic tried to fly, staying aloft with telekinesis and propelling himself forward he started slow before moving and increasing his speed. He discovered he could move at incredible speeds, zooming through the canyon. 'This feels amazing!' he thought, relishing the sensation of flight. He calculated the force and speed, estimating he was moving at around 500 mph. 'I'm like a human jet!'

In his excitement, he lost focus and teleported straight into a massive rock formation. The collision was loud and destructive, flattening the rock. Dominic stood up after a few moments groaning, he looks at himself looking to see if anything was broken and to his surprise he was ok with only full aches to show for the impact. He was surprised that he was uninjured, he looks at the rubbles he caused due to his crash and remembered Ethan's words about his enhanced durability. 'That's definitely nice,' he thought, relieved by his resilience.

Looking at the rock formations, he thought about trying his heat vision. Concentrating, he felt a warmth building behind his eyes. 'Focus, Dominic. Imagine a beam of heat,' he told himself. He focused on a boulder before feeling and uncomfortable itch in his eyes, his blue eyes darkened and turned red, seething with heat and released a beam of intense heat, slicing through the rock effortlessly. The precision, force and power amazed him.

'This is incredible,' Dominic thought, surveying the destruction he had wrought. 'I need to learn to control and balance all these abilities.' As an engineer, he couldn't help but calculate the physics behind his powers, analyzing the forces at play and marveling at the potential they held.

Feeling a mixture of awe and excitement, Dominic knew he had to master his powers to navigate this new world. The Marvel Universe was vast, and he was eager to see where his journey would take him next.
