A few days after the whole ordeal of the wishing stone on Christmas Eve Diana returned to her apartment and found a letter delivered to her.
As she opened the letter it read
"Hi, Diana,
This is Steve, if you are reading this letter, it means I am gone.
I mean I was already dead long ago but, you get what I mean.
I contemplated a lot whether I should leave this letter for you or not but I decided to leave it to fate.
If this letter reached you it meant it was fine to leave this behind.
Now what I am about to tell you, I am not sure about it, It's just a guess but I will say I have a little confidence in it.
We will have a chance to meet again, I don't know when or how but ever since I woke up I have been seeing this piece of memory of an event that did not happen when I was alive.
I was standing in the ruins in the middle of a city surrounded by lightning and fire and I saw you there probably fighting against something as you were wearing your armor and holding your shield.
I don't know if it is true or just a figment of my imagination but I hope I will see you again.
Love you always.
Steve."
Although Maxwell Lord renouncing his wish undid every wish he granted, it did not mean every wish was unfulfilled.
You see there was this one wish that was granted by setting in motion a chain of events and even when Maxwell Lord came undone the events that were already in motion couldn't be undone.
Just a few days after Maxwell Lord lost his powers on Christmas Eve a space pod crashed somewhere on a farm in Kansas and a couple got their wish of having a child fulfilled.
Though that is a story for another time.
