Chapter 32: The Fall of Ultron Prime

Although the Avengers didn't know who the robot standing next to Han Yu was, they assumed it was his new ally. Without asking too many questions, they quickly took the senzu beans he handed them and retreated to a safe distance.

Han Yu gazed at Ultron Prime with a sly grin and said, "I'll give you two choices: one, surrender and join my faction; or two, I'll beat you into submission and then you'll join my faction."

This was the same ultimatum Han Yu had given Ultron Prime earlier, and the latter's reaction now matched exactly what Han Yu had expected.

Ultron Prime burst into maniacal laughter. "With the Green Lantern ring and the Mind Stone in my possession, you shouldn't have handed such power to an idiot like Stark. And now you think you can defeat me? What a joke!"

Hearing this, Han Yu chuckled and turned to look at the Ultron beside him. "You both say the same things," he quipped.

The new Ultron, now equipped with a visibly more human-like expression, scratched his head awkwardly and replied, "Boss, stop teasing me."

When he had uttered similar words in the past, he hadn't thought much of it. But now, seeing it from a third-party perspective, he couldn't help but feel a little foolish.

Ultron Prime, standing in the air and eyeing Han Yu and his companion, felt a vague sense of familiarity with the metal-bodied robot beside Han Yu, though he couldn't pinpoint why.

"Hmph, it doesn't matter how many of you there are—you'll all die!"

Disregarding their presence, Ultron Prime raised both hands and summoned two small, glowing yellow-green cubes, hurling them toward Han Yu and his ally.

"Be careful! Those cubes are incredibly destructive!"

Having witnessed Ultron Prime's power firsthand, the Avengers dared not underestimate him. Someone quickly shouted a warning to Han Yu and the new Ultron.

The technique was potent enough to shatter Captain America's vibranium shield. The Avengers had experienced the shield's resilience—it could withstand Thor's mightiest blows with only a reactive jolt, never breaking. That Ultron Prime could destroy it left them in awe.

As the glowing cubes hurtled toward them, Ultron stepped forward, positioning himself in front of Han Yu. Before everyone's eyes, he took both hits directly. The resulting impact sent ripples of terrifying energy through the air, leaving behind a swirling yellow-green haze.

"He may be loyal, but there's no way his metal body could withstand that," Thor sighed. He had felt the power of Ultron Prime's attacks before and knew their intensity. Taking those hits head-on seemed like certain doom.

The next moment, as the smoke cleared, the crowd's astonished expressions revealed a shocking sight—Han Yu and Ultron remained unscathed in mid-air.

"Boss, this body you gave me is amazing! Can I fight back now?"

Ultron sounded exhilarated. He was convinced that following Han Yu had been the right choice. The sheer strength of his new body far surpassed his old one.

He knew the force of Ultron Prime's attack; even his former self wouldn't have dared take it head-on. Yet here he was, completely unscathed after enduring two direct hits.

Han Yu responded calmly, "Go ahead, just don't hurt anyone else."

With Han Yu's approval, Ultron grinned wickedly. Green Lantern energy swirled around his hand, forming a crystalline palm print that he launched directly at Ultron Prime.

The time between its formation and impact was less than a fraction of a second. In an instant, the glowing palm print reached Ultron Prime.

Unlike Ultron Prime, this new Ultron had a body enhanced with Uru metal, allowing him to wield Green Lantern energy with remarkable precision.

With just one strike, Ultron shattered Ultron Prime into fragments.

Ultron's fighting style was unlike Han Yu's. While Han Yu was composed and controlled in his attacks, Ultron, having just acquired his new body, was eager to test its capabilities.

Ultron Prime was the perfect target. Destroying him wouldn't raise any objections. Unfortunately for Ultron Prime, he became nothing more than a training dummy for the upgraded Ultron.

From the Avengers' perspective, it was a one-sided beatdown. The once-formidable Ultron Prime, who had left them powerless, was now utterly helpless against Ultron's relentless assault.

"It's over. Goodbye… me," Ultron declared with finality.

Ultron leaned close to Ultron Prime's ear and whispered something. Suddenly, Ultron Prime's eyes widened in shock. It finally made sense why the figure before him felt so eerily familiar, and why he had inexplicably sustained severe injuries earlier.

Hearing Ultron's words, Ultron Prime thought of a horrifying possibility: the being before him was a duplicate—a robot with a copy of his own memories. Moreover, when the copy was made, the memory of Han Yu had been erased from Ultron Prime's mind. That explained his confusion and injuries.

"Wait… wait a moment…"

Just as Ultron Prime let out a hoarse roar, Ultron's hand flared with a burst of immense energy. Without hesitation, he obliterated Ultron Prime's central core, rendering him lifeless.

In the blink of an eye, the data within Ultron Prime's system was wiped clean under Ultron's lockdown, leaving no chance for escape.

And just like that, Ultron Prime was dead.

Ultron exhaled deeply, stood upright, and looked at the shattered remains scattered on the ground. Shaking his head, he muttered, "It's over."

The Avengers stood frozen, staring at the scene in stunned silence, unable to find any words.

Han Yu turned to Stark and asked, "Have you rescued everyone?"

"They're all safe," Stark replied. "S.H.I.E.L.D.'s transport has already evacuated them."

"Good. Take them and leave quickly. I'll handle this island," Han Yu instructed.

As he spoke, Green Lantern energy flowed endlessly from his legs into the ground, concentrating at the island's core.

A thin green glow gathered in his hand, forming a small energy orb. With just a squeeze, the entire island would detonate.

Just as Han Yu was about to crush the orb, a strange sensation swept over him. He froze, a peculiar realization dawning on him.

"S.H.I.E.L.D.… shouldn't they have been destroyed? Why are they still being referred to like this?"

Frowning deeply, Han Yu recalled an important anomaly. If Ultron's events had unfolded, then a major incident should have preceded it—the destruction of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Though Nick Fury had appeared during that timeline, S.H.I.E.L.D. should have already been dismantled by Captain America. There shouldn't have been any reference to "S.H.I.E.L.D." at this point.

"Could it be because I triggered Ultron's rise too early? But I can't reset the universe…"

Han Yu's gaze flickered with uncertainty. As a dedicated comic book fan, he had spent countless hours immersed in DC's stories. He recalled the Flash, often referred to as the "Key to Reboots," frequently using the Speed Force to travel back in time and alter events whenever things spiraled out of control.

That particular trope had often been the subject of jokes among comic fans.

Han Yu furrowed his brows tightly. This deviation was entirely unforeseen. What he could confirm was that the timeline had indeed shifted.

"Boss, what's wrong? If you don't blow up this island soon, we'll reach the reverse propulsion point I set earlier when we exit the atmosphere," Ultron urged.
