36. Escape

Yinsen was prepared to die. However a hand pulled him back.

"Your job is done, let me do mine."

Adam walked out of the room, he whistled as he walked past the dark cave and into the open where a dozen men were standing guard and aiming at the cave entrance.

"Wow, that's a nice welcome."

The bald man who threatened Tony before stood to the back. Today was the last day he gave to Tony Stark, he was about to collect what he asked for when his men lost sight of him.

When they tried to see what happened a granade took them out. He had no choice but to wait outside. And what came outside was a man wearing weird black clothes and a black fox mask.

He was shocked and angered upon seeing a completely unknown person come out, "Who are you? How did you get inside?"

He glared at Adam, if he heard a single word wrong he would kill him.

Adam threw his hands and shrugged, "I dug my way through."

"Fire."

The bald man ordered.

The men fired. Adam stomped his feet.

Doton! Mud Wall!

A wall rose from the ground and blocked the incoming bullets. It filled the space inside the cave. The bald man was stunned.

"He is a mutant! Bring it down!"

The bald man's first reaction when he saw Adam summon a mud wall was that he was a mutant.

His men fired continuosly. The wall held for a minute or two before it crumbled. They were about to rush in when loud clanking sounds rang from inside.

The men halted their footsteps and waited. A second later a metal giant walked out.

Tony didn't wait for them to react and fired. The bald man reacted immediately and jumped to the side. However his men were less fortunate and died.

Tony yelled back, "Yinsen, let's go! Hey, you too!"

Adam ran out with Yinsen, "Mr. Stark, you make your way out, I will join you later."

Without waiting for Tony's reply he grabbed Yinsen and ran out. Tony cursed and ran out.

He was about to leave when he saw dozens of crates. All of them were filled with weapons with his family name branded on it. Tony felt sour when he saw this.

Flame erupted from his hands as he set everything on fire.

Time to leave.

Fire burst out from beneath his feet. Slowly his metal body was rising into the air, when the energy peaked a loud sound erupted as he flew through the air like a javelin.

Boom!

A second after he left, the terrorist base erupted into flames

Flying through the air his armour fell apart one by one. Luckily when he was about to land the armour gave a final burst of power and took out most of the momentum.

Tony rolled through the sand. He got up with a dizzy head and looked around. He had no idea where he was, so he could only move forward.

"Hey, Mr. Stark, that was a great performance."

Just as he took a step forward a sound startled him. His head still hurt from the fall so he couldn't keep himself steady and fell down.

Tony looked Adam and asked, "How the hell did you move so fast?"

Adam smiled under his mask, "Secret."

Tony didn't mind. He looked back and saw Yinsen. He was clutching his head and trying to keep himself steady.

"What happened to Yinsen?"

Adam shrugged, "Motion sickness."

Yinsen had a hand on his head as he said with slight anger, "Sir, anyone would feel nauseous if you move that fast."

Tony got and looked around, he turned to Adam and asked, "You got any communication?"

Adam threw him the small device he had. Tony looked at it for a second and said, "This is a blink. When did you activate it?"

"Just a second ago."

Tony rubbed his head, "If the search party is close they will reach us very soon. If not it will take time, probably an hour."

Yinsen shielded his head from the sun and said, "So we have stay under this weather for an hour?"

Tony nodded, "Yeah."

Adam ignored them and stomped his feet.

Doton! Earth Dome!

The sand trembled before it rose up. Tony and Yinsen stared with their jaws wide open when a circular rock structure rose from the ground.

Adam patted Tony's shoulder and said, "Let's rest inside."

Tony's eyes sparkled, "You are a mutant?"

Adam flatly denied, "Nope."

Yinsen walked in and saw several small holes on the dome structure. There was enough light and shade inside.

Adam opened a scroll and placed it on the ground.

"Unseal!"

Bags of water, protein bars, juice boxes, some beef jerkies and several items popped out.

Tony nearly dropped his eyeballs. Yinsen also had his mouth wide open when he saw this.

It took Tony a second to snap back, he asked excitedly, "Is that space warping?"

Adam thought for a bit, "I don't know if it's space warping but it does use some concept of space."

Tony asked with interest, "Can you explain?"

Adam shrugged, "I don't know how to."

Tony was disappointed but then he cheered up, "If I can detect the fluctuations when you do that thing then I might be able to replicate it!"

He was speaking with excitement when his stomach growled. Tony grabbed whatever he got and started to eat. Yinsen and Adam also ate.

Half an hour later rumbling sounds came from outside. They ran out and saw a large military chopper.

Rhodey jumped out. He saw Tony and gave him a big hug, "Next time you take the van with me."

Tony was also happy to see his friend, "Yeah, whatever."

Rhodey was startled to see rock dome right in the middle of a desert, he looked at Adam and didn't ask. All of them boarded the chopper and left for home.

Adam was laid back and relaxed.

Tony suddenly walked upto him, he extended his arm towards Adam and said, "Thanks."

Adam smiled and shook his hand.

Tony said seriously, "If you need my help in the future, just ask."

Adam nodded, "I will, Mr. Stark."

Tony grinned, "Just call me Tony."
