On the morning of the third day after entering the Savannah base, Nick and the other survivors finally had a hot meal, and the base was thriving. Tang Tian's NS-5 robots, brought from "Left 4 Dead," played a significant role. Because the NS-5 robots were not human, the infected individuals did not constantly attack them, making it easier for these machines to scavenge for food in the city. Most importantly, they could collect gold, dollars, and other valuables that no one in the post-apocalyptic world wanted. Anything from gold to jewels and diamonds found its way into someone's pockets.
Perhaps someone was too complacent. Originally, the military NS-5 units cleared out a safe zone within a 1000-meter radius with no zombies, but suddenly, a horde of zombies roared, signaling a horde attack. Players who have played Left 4 Dead know the consequences of being surrounded and beaten by a horde of zombies - there is no escape and it is impossible to deal with hundreds of infected individuals using cold weapons like in the game. After all, this is the real world.
Half an hour before the zombie horde attacked the base.
"Dr. William, how are the blood samples from those people collected?" In the dark underground conference room of the Savannah base, Tang Tian commanded and asked Dr. William.
"Of course, they have all been collected. Now we can proceed with the new bio-weapon. I will use the special blood of these individuals to create a new breed of weapon by combining it with the cells of special infected individuals," Dr. William replied with a slight smile, expressing his confidence.
"Well, I believe you can do a great job," Tang Tian said satisfied.
The bio-weapons created from Bill's clones would incorporate military combat skills and the cells of the special infected Tank. They would be capable of long-range precision shooting with high-accuracy rifles and would mutate their bodies into nightmares for the enemy at close range. Other individuals who were immune to the virus would also be combined with the cells of special infected individuals to create new weapons, providing more advanced cannon fodder for the battle against Skynet.
"Fuck! Red alert, red alert! Everyone, enter combat mode! Machine gunners, take defensive positions! Activate all NS-5 robots for combat!" Captain August, the elite clone leader, decisively sounded the alarm upon spotting the horde of infected individuals, preparing the survivors in the base for battle.
While Tang Tian and Dr. William were conversing, the zombies that rushed forward were immediately mowed down by the military NS-5 robots, showered by a barrage of metal bullets from Gatling guns and MG3s. The zombies fell in droves, as if straw before a sickle. However, there were just too many zombies. The ones behind quickly filled the gaps and pressed closer. The robots also threw grenades and incendiary bombs, creating explosions in the ocean of zombies, slowing their advance.
"Bzzz! Bzzz! Bzzz!" The zombie horde had just launched its attack when the red alert automatically blared throughout the base. The sound of the red alert indicated that the zombie horde had initiated its assault.
"What's happening?" Just as Tang Tian finished his conversation with Dr. William, he listened to the alarm ringing in the base and casually asked a nearby soldier.
"Boss, a large group of infected individuals has arrived at the base," a stoic-looking white clone captain replied calmly.
"Is that so?" Tang Tian muttered to himself, then opened his wrist computer, connecting to the satellites that had long been infiltrated. A virtual display showed an estimated horde of over 800,000 infected individuals advancing toward the sole survivor base in Georgia.
Using the power of gravity, Tang Tian swiftly floated to the top of the base's perimeter wall. Observing Tang Tian's god-like actions, the recently rescued survivors inside the base felt a sigh of relief. Tang Tian floated over and observed the situation outside. A large group of infected individuals had gathered outside the base, appearing as a dark mass blocking the perimeter. It seemed like they understood that the humans in this base could satisfy their hunger.
The main gate of the Savannah base's inner perimeter wall was an alloy electric-controlled gate, impervious to the infected individuals' attacks. However, as all the zombies crowded forward, they created a sort of human pyramid effect, with infected individuals stepping on top of each other to move forward. Of course, the alloy electric-controlled gate of the base was also painstakingly constructed by Tang Tian using considerable effort from Colony 2, all to ensure the presence of a secure base in Left 4 Dead.
The first wave of approximately 200,000 infected individuals drew closer to the inner perimeter wall, and Tang Tian could clearly see the terrifying and bloodthirsty expressions on their pale, ghastly faces. The barbed wire fence surrounding the outer wall was destroyed by rocket launchers and the onslaught of infected individuals. Finally, like a burst dam, the infected individuals rapidly surged in, charging towards the inner perimeter wall.
At this moment, several chubby figures appeared outside the perimeter wall and rushed towards the inner wall of the base.
"Snap!" Tang Tian snapped his fingers, applying a slight gravitational force to the "Spitters," causing green blood mist to burst out. In the game, when Spitters explode, they attract a large number of zombies and possibly other special infected.
Spitters are a type of special infected characterized by their obese bodies, pustules, and murmuring sounds. They can vomit on survivors, greatly obstructing their vision, and infecting other nearby unaffected infected. The unique odor of their vomit immediately attracts a horde of zombies, which prioritize attacking survivors covered in the vomit. When a Spitter is killed, it produces a corpse explosion that generates a shockwave, capable of knocking back anyone hit by it. Spitters are special infected in Left 4 Dead 2, capable of summoning hordes of zombies.
"These are specially infected. Order the base snipers to eliminate them from a distance," Tang Tian casually instructed the soldiers who were shooting. It seemed that someone wasn't afraid of these infected actually entering the base.
"Yes, sir," one of the soldiers, a survivor rescued by Dr. William's team, respectfully replied to Tang Tian.
"Okay." Tang Tian waved his hand, indicating he proceeded.
Watching the increasing number of infected corpses, Tang Tian took out a large number of Molotov cocktails, as well as solidified gasoline and gravity-enhanced bullets, and smashed them into the dense horde of zombies. The Molotov cocktails instantly ignited the solidified gasoline and bullets, creating a sea of fire that momentarily slowed down the advancement of the horde.
"Ah, what is this?" Suddenly, a soldier's cry echoed, followed by his immediate disappearance. Tang Tian saw a pink tongue entangling the soldier. Although the others knew little about the special infected, they were momentarily stunned. However, Tang Tian recognized it as the tongue of a Smoker. Without hesitation, a sniper aimed at the Smoker's head with an AWP, ready to eliminate the sneaky infected.
The Smoker is a special infected with a green spore cluster (green smoke) on its body. It constantly coughs and has a slightly taller physique with a tumor on half of its face. Smokers extend their tongues to bind survivors and drag them, making them a long-range attack force among special infected.
"Bang!" The sound of a sniper rifle rang out, and a green smoke rose outside the base. The sniper breathed a sigh of relief and continued on to the next target. Currently, Tang Tian didn't need to use super-advanced weapons against the special infected. However, he believed that he would encounter them soon. Using conventional firearms to eliminate these special infected first was to better collect samples, as new weapons also required a large amount of special infected tissue.
"Drip, drip, drip, drip..." The soldiers in the base and the NS-5 robots simultaneously threw out a large number of homemade explosives, attracting a large gathering of infected, and eliminating them with the available forces.
"For the remaining infected, use high-explosive rockets to clean up." Under Tang Tian's intentional gravitational attack, the special infected suffered heavy losses. Then, seeing that the first wave of zombie hordes had been almost wiped out, Tang Tian commanded the nearby soldiers.
"Click! Boom! Boom! Boom!" With less than 500 remaining infected, they couldn't withstand the devastation caused by high-explosive rockets. Their flesh and blood flew in all directions, and the damaged bodies were finally dealt with by using incendiary bottles, solidified gasoline, and gravity-enhanced bullets.
"The world of the zombie apocalypse is truly interesting," someone shamelessly thought to themselves.
Unlike other survivors who took the opportunity to rest, Tang Tian was still in a very good mood. The virus in this world couldn't harm Tang Tian with his special constitution. After dealing with the zombie horde, he awaited Dr. William's completion of the new biological weapon plan. Extracting the mutated rabies virus and the technology to create new biochemical weapons would be brought by Tang Tian to the world of "Terminator 3," where they would become mass-produced cannon fodder weapons.
