Second Chapter

"Who are you? Mr. Whitehall? I do not know who that is. You called the wrong person" The glasses wearing baldie named Jasper, rejected Skye's call without even thinking it over.

Skye seemed to have expected Jasper's reaction. Thus, she replied calmly. "After an event in 1945, an Obelisk was taken in Austria by SHIELD. Mr. Whitehall needs your help in taking it out of the secret warehouse in SHIELD. He urges you to use your authority in doing so"

The Terrigan Crystal inside the Obelisk needed to be opened in a specific place. HYDRA and SHIELD do not know about it. Thus, even after researching it for 50 years they have no clue on how this Obelisk works.

"Obelisk?" Jasper did not know of such a thing. However, due to his naivety, it seems that he was easily convinced that the other party's identity was a high-class member of HYDRA for knowing such information, and the fact that the other party also knew about Mr. Whitehall.

After she confirmed Jasper's agreement to her request. Skye ended the call with. "Mr. Whitehall shall owe you a favor, expect me to call you back later. Long live HYDRA!"

Hearing the other party yell praise for HYDRA seemed to have made Jasper Sitwell's reflex activate as he suddenly performed a salute in the dark alley war he was in. "Long live HYDRA" He said, before looking down to see that the other party had already ended their call.

Being a mid-level HYDRA agent who was able to infiltrate SHIELD, Jasper did not lack the knowledge to do as he was told. Thus, he started to depart from the alley way and think about a suitable plan that would help him in fulfilling his task.

Jasper Sitwell was so loyal to HYDRA that even if he feared death, Jasper still wanted to prove his worth as a member of the said organization and infiltrated SHIELD a few years ago.

HYDRA also had Alexander Pierce, a sturdy oldman who served as a major member that helped HYDRA a lot. Alexander had connections, to not only the government, but also to the Director of SHIELD himself.

Despite his ignorance of not suspecting Skye of anything, Jasper was rather cautious everytime he entered the main building of SHIELD.

In the next few days, Skye was able to monitor Jasper's movements via hacking, and confirmed that he was indeed searching for a way to get the Obelisk.

Skye also calculated that there was at least 70% that Jasper would not inform Alexander about his plan to get the Obelisk. As for why he won't? Skye didn't know that either. Maybe you could call it.... a woman's intuition.

Despite the hardships he was facing, Jasper did not give up his chance to prove himself as a worthy agent of HYDRA.

Skye's roommate named Angela, sensed that her mixed blood friend had been acting weird recently, but she wasn't able to ask about it since Skye suddenly ran out of the room.

A few minutes ago, Skye noticed that Jasper's phone signal was indicating something. She felt her new found woman's intuition telling her that the other party might have found something.

Before Skye left the room, she made a cover up that was able to deceive Angela. She quickly dialed the phone number of Jasper Sitwell.

"That was fast, Agent Sitwell" Skye complimented her pawn after confirming that he had indeed found the Obelisk.

Although Skye was not able to see Jasper's face right now, she could hear the pride in Jasper's words as he said. "Just to be sure, may I confirm your identity once again?"

Skye sneered behind the phone and thought. 'You're only asking that now?' She then thought of something to solidify her identity as a HYDRA agent.

Skye was still using the voice changer as she replied seriously. "There are a lot of things that you are not aware of. If you want I could even ask Mr. Pierce to confirm my identity"

Hearing the name of a high-leveled HYDRA agent, Jasper didn't overstep his bounds and just believed in the words of the other party. "Sorry for doubting you earlier Sir. May I ask how I may give you the Obelisk? Will I also have the honor of meeting Mr. Whitehall?"

"Hehehe" Skye let out a slight snicker using the voice changer, she then started to talk. "Jasper Sitwell, do you really want to see Mr. Whitehall?"

Skye tried to disuade Jasper from requesting to see Mr. Whitehall by saying. "Did you check the history of the Obelisk? I'm sure you already know that however touches it carelessly will turn into stone" She paused for a while before continuing. "He has been detained for many years. Thus, Mr. Whitehall's mood is not stable...."

Hearing the words coming from the other party, Jasper was grateful he handled the Obelisk carefully, he was also able to predict that Mr. Whitehall might just touch the Obelisk or even use some humans for his experiments. Of course, since Jasper was scared of being used as a test subject, he reconsidered his request.

Despite working hard to acquire the Obelisk. In the end, Jasper decided not to meet with an unstable Mr. Whitehall since he valued his life more than anything. It was quite common to use fellow HYDRA members as test subjects afterall.

Since Jasper's first request was not possible, he started to think about what he would gain from giving the Obelisk to the unknown HYDRA agent he was calling. Its better to live and gain credit than meet your idol and die in his hands. Thus, Jasper asked Skye. "What can I gain in this?"

"I can guarantee your safety and steady improvement in your position whether in HYDRA or on SHIELD" Skye stated as she thought. 'The fuck you sayin bro? Why would I give you anything. All I need is that Obelisk and I am sure I will never meet you again'

Remembering that Jasper would still be alive after a few years, Skye just added some false promises to help him feel less cautious on the future.

'Being able to climb the ranks will definitely help me stay alive in SHIELD' Jasper thought as he nodded his head in satisfaction.

Skye hanged up the phone after telling Jasper to leave the Obelisk in a designated trash dump. She also hired a pitiful homeless man to take the things after the other party left it.

Skye dressed up in a large hooded sweater and normal black knee length shorts as she headed towards the trash dump located in an alley way. She then used the electric shock device she had and got the rectangular metal box from the poor homeless man.

She layed the homeless man gently on the wall and opened the metal box carefully with her gloved hands.

Inside the box was a multilateral metal Obelisk over 30 cm high.

There was no time to study it in this alley way. Thus, Skye used some pliers she bought to carry the Obelisk and put it in the backpack she got from the homeless man. Of course, Skye also left some money in payment for the homeless man's sacrifice.

Skye then ran towards a nearby open chemical factory and threw the metal box into a sulfuric acid pool. No matter how magical the agents are, they will surely not be able to find the metal box anymore.

The Obelisk was a piece of technology that originated from the Kree. It had a seamless appearance and was able to disable electronic devices while also turning normal people into stone. Thus, it was impossible to put an electric tracker on this Obelisk. No harm done right?

It was already night time when Skye finished her activities and left.

T/n:Damn it was hard to translate some things here and there. Especially the multiple sudden POV changes make it even more difficult.
