"Wait? Water? That's right! I have to imbue the same amount of Qi into every stroke and line of the rune! How didn't I think about this before?!"
...
After other two hours...
"Yes! I finally fucking got it!" Mo Fan exclaimed as he looked at his finished opera, a piece of paper with a fire rune perfectly drawn on it that shone of the brightest red color. "I finally created a talisman!"
A talisman? Just when did he start creating such things? Well, to first start drawing runes, he didn't want to waste materials like wood, iron, and such (like stated in the previous chapter), and so he just drew them on a piece of paper, which becomes an Elemental Talisman if enscribed with an elemenal rune, a Rudimentary Talisman if enscribed with a rudimentary rune and a Gathering Talisman if enscribed with a gathering rune.
"Now, I'll just have to try it and see if it works properly!" With a lot of excitement, the golden-haired kid threw the flame talisman towards one of the walls just to see how much damage it would have done to it, only to be immensely deluded as it didn't even make a meter that it already started to fall down, even turning into ashes before even reaching the floor.
"Well... I-I think that I should improve my throwing skills and buy a more Qi conductive paper... b-but atleast the fire rune worked..."
Although the experiment wasn't as perfect as he had expected, he was still pretty happy with it, and so he immediately returned to work again, fully immersing himself in it.
...
After having passed a couple of hours of drawing countless different runes and making various talismans with them, Mo Fan became pretty skilled at drawing the symbols of the universe and learned a lot of things that the basic books didn't explain:
The fire runes, other than enhancing the user's fire Qi, if applied to something with enough Qi conductivity, which is, like the name says, the measure with which Qi flows through a material, can coat the entire thing engraved with the rune in flames that don't ever die until the Qi inside of the rune runs out;
The water rune, if engraved to something, just like the fire rune, can coat this into absolute cold water that doesn't end until the Qi of the rune runs out;
The metal rune increased something's sharpness and resistance; the wind rune increased something's speed; the gold rune increased something's weight... and so on.
So, having now acquired a lot of new knowledge, Mo Fan decided that he was finally ready to transform the commissioned weapon into an artifact.
...
"I have to be super careful..." Mo Fan was attentively inscribing a rune on top of two other runes on the azure sword. "If I only mess the connecting rune of these yin and water runes by a bit, I'll end up ruining the weapon, and I won't be obtaining the ice rune, so I have to be super careful with it..."

Line after line, stroke after stroke, Mo Fan was, with absolute attention, connecting with his Qi Brush every line and every stroke of the yin and water runes together, and once he had finished, a rune with the form of a snowflake, brightening of an intense light-blue color, came to life out of their fusion. "Yes! I managed to draw a perfect ice rune on my first try! I'm such a genius, hahahaha!"
"Now, I'll just have to repeat this process all over the blade of the sword!"
...
After half an hour...
"Phew... I have finally finished! I have inscribed a total of twenty metal runes on the blade to make this more durable and sharp and ten ice runes to enhance Su Yan's Ice Qi attacks with the sword! I hope that this will probably be to her liking..."
"Well, but there's still a lot of work to do, like linking all of these runes through connecting runes to an augmentation rune, a rudimentary rune, so as to enhance all of their effects, and then I even have to use the Harmonious Artifact Refining Arts on all of them to permeate them more perfectly with the weapon."
"Well, then let's get back to work..."
...
With a lot of skill, Mo Fan quickly engraved an augmention rude, a rudimentary rune that enhances the effect of other runes if connected to them with a connecting rune, on the center of the blade and liked all of the various symbols of the universe to it before using the Harmonious Artifact Refining Arts to harmoniously and perfectly permeate all of them to the weapon.
"I finally finished it! This is the..."
"The Frost Blade? No, it's sound lame..."
"Then is it the Icy Phoenix Blade? Mmh... no, this sound lame as well..."
"Yes! This is it! The Azure Phoenix Sword!"

"I have to immediately go to my courtyard to try it against trees!"
...
"..."
"Did I perhaps engrave too many metal runes onto it?" Mo Fan said as he didn't certainly expect such an outcome: he cut a whole goddamn tree down in a single slash without even putting that much strength into it. It cut through the tree just like a knife cuts butter. Just the thought of Su Yan using it with her Qi sent a shiver down his spine.
"It's a pity though that I can't try it with my Qi imbued to it as I have yet to reach the Qi Transforming realm or that I can't try the effects of the ice runes or I would have been able to see the true martial prowess of my cute Azure Phoenix Sword!"
"Well, but now... hehe... there's something else that I need to add to the sword, hehehe..."

Sorry if the chapter wasn't that good, but I wrote this chapter in quite the rush.
Also, if someone wants more information on talismans, it's better to search Ofuda or Fulu, as they are more similar to what Mo Fan has created.
Also if I use 'symbols of the universe', I mean runes.
