Ch 29: 6 months

Within one of the six Cottages at the center of the black wind marketplace, a young man sat in a lotus position with his eyes closed. The Young Man had long pentablack hair that cascaded down to his mid back. He had sword shaped eyebrows, a well proposed nose and mouth, a low but well-defined jaw line and a perfect diamond shaped face. His physique was what people would call 'A Golden Ratio', not too slim nor too muscular, with a height of 1.9 meters. A dominant, mystical, wild and untamed aura was surrounding the young man that added to his charm.

The young man slowly exhaled and opened his black eyes. When he opened his eyes the aura surrounding him retracted and turned into a calm, serene aura.

"It's been half a year since the mission. I should initiate my next course of actions now.", yang feng talked to himself. "Status."

During the past half year, yang feng focused on his Body Cultivation, rarely doing any Qi Cultivation and also developed his profession to their current limit. He now has exhausted at types of materials he had in his inventory and even couldn't find more, that were of higher grade.

Now if he wants to develop his professions more, he will have to go the Tong Xuan Realm to get the materials for practice.

When his body had absorbed the golden skeleton, thus raising his bones rank to the golden bones, he thought of a cultivation method to raise his body cultivation more effectively by dividing it into ranks.

The First was the 'MORTAL REALMS'. In this realm the partitioner will refine their bodies to the peak of a mortal cultivator, which is the immortal ascension realm. The refinement is divided into three parts.

In the First part, the partitioner has to strengthen and purify his skin, his muscles and his viscera by using the Qi in the surrounding, but due to his body tempering technique, the Primal Chaos Body Refining Technique, he was able to absorb the Qi from verious pills and herbs to strengthen them.

In the Second part, the partitioner has to refine his bones. The bone refinement is further divided into three ranks, in the MORTAL REALM, first is Iron ranks which is comparable to 1st tier monsters.

Then comes the Copper Rank, in which the bones become stronger and gain a copper hue to them. Those who have refined their bones to this rank have bodies comparable to 2nd-3rd tier monsters.

The last and the third rank of the MORTAL REALM is the Steel Rank, in which the bones again become stronger and have the appearance of steel. Those who refine their bones to this rank have bodies comparable to 4th and 5th tier monsters.

But as his bones were already at the Golden Rank, which was the rank after the steel rank, because of absorbing the golden skeleton, he basically skipped the whole second part.

In the Third part, the partitioner has to refine his bone marrow and Veins. This allowes the partitioner to raise his blood concentration and blood and Qi Flow through his body. By refining ones bone marrow, the partitioners can also purify their bloodlines as well.

When he came up with this Body Cultivation System he was mostly thinking along monster tiers, so the system edited his Body Cultivation Tab and used monster tiers as a way to display his body rank.

Another thing he noticed was that, he has to first refine his whole body to a certain realm to increase his Body Cultivation. So although he had Golden Bones, his Body Cultivation will not increase till his whole body reaches the corresponding realm.

In the last half a year, he has refined his skin, muscles, viscera, bone marrow, and veins to the 3rd tier. He can only explain the process in one word, 'AGONIZING'. He had to endure so much pain, especially during his vein refining, that he fainted a few times during the process.

While refining his veins he had to refine each of his veins individually, which hurts worse than refining bone marrow. Although he endured unbearable pain, the benefits were also immense.

As he continued to refine his body he noticed that with increase of his body Cultivation his already immense Qi reserves increased. His body also started to heal quickly, a wound that would take him more than two weeks to heal previously, now only took about 5-6 days.

Some other things have happened since he returned to the sect after the mission. The first thing was that he was promoted to a core disciple, when he came back to the sect with the others. The elders came to know what had transpired during the mission and were shocked and impressed when Su Yan told them about the details of the incident.

After knowing that the mission was completed only because of yang feng, the elder immediately gave out the order of his promotion and that he didn't have to worship any master, if he doesn't want to. Though it was odd for the other disciples about this, Yang Feng knew that it might be related to the message they received on the first day of his entering the sect, so he naturally didn't accept any master.

This made him quite unique among the core disciples, as all of the current core disciples were either the disciples of the elders or their relatives.

When he became a core disciple, the elders to give him a cottage in the black wind marketplace alongside Su Yan, to which he eagerly agreed but didn't show it on his face.

When he moved into the cottage next to Su Yan's the other two sects also sent one more of their disciples each.

So now there were 6 cottage in the center of the black wind marketplace, with each sect having 2 cottages to themselves.

Another thing that happened was that after a month of his return, he again started receiving pill refining requests. But he didn't refine any pill himself and asked Xia Ning Chang if she wanted to refine the pills instead, to which she agreed happily as she could increase her cultivation and alchemy rank by refining those pills.

In just 5 months Xia Ning Chang's cultivation increased to the peak of the 9th stage of Separation and Reunion Realm. So he decided to give her a present. He still smiles at her expressions when he remembers the time.

~Flashback Starts~

"Brother Yang feng what are you thinking about?" Xia Ning Chang asked yang feng in a curious tone, making a innocent cute face.

Yang feng smiled seeing her cute expressions. "Just thinking if I should give you a present for all the help you gave me for refining all the pills." He replied with mischievous light flickering in his eyes.

"Present? You don't have to, I refined them because they were beneficial for me." She answered to him saying that she didn't need it, though her eyes did light up when she heard that he had a present for her.

"Give me your hand.", yang feng told Xia Ning Chang while extending his hand to her. Looking at his extended hand Xia Ning Chang slowly put her palm in his hand.

After all the time they have spent together, she trusted him a lot and knew that he will not do anything that would harm her.

Yang feng took her hand and placed a small jade bottle on it. Xia Ning Chang seeing the jade bottle was curious and after retracting her hand she opened the bottle. "Ahhh!, isn't this the 'Foundation Building Dew of Nine Yin'?" She asked yang feng, swiftly closing the jade bottle.

She knew about it because her master had been telling her to not breakthrough till he finds a treasure to strengthen her foundation and this Dew was one of the treasures he told her about.

"Yes." Yang feng simply replied, enjoying her expressions. "I can't take this!, it's too valuable." Xia Ning Chang told him shaking her head while pushing the bottle towards him.

He tried to tell her that it was ok but she was not hearing him and was trying to give the bottle back to him. "Eep!" Xia Ning Chang suddenly let out a squeal felling yang feng pulling her and hugging her waist in his strong arms.

"Now listen to me. Although this may be really precious to you, but to me you and your safety are more precious to me. So you will accept this and use it to increase your strength, alright?" Yang feng stated while looking into her eyes, when she tried to avert her eyes from his he placed his other hand on her chin to keep her from looking elsewhere.

Hearing his domineering but soft tone, feeling his strong arms around her that gave her a secure and protected feeling and looking at his pure and sincere eyes looking into hers, she was captivated, feeling her heartbeat quicken and her face blushing. Although she wanted to say something, but she could only nod her head.

Although reluctantly, yang feng removed his arm from her soft and slender waist, not hiding his reluctance from her. Xia Ning Chang suddenly became aware of the how close she was to him and his words and actions continued to replay in her mind. Which caused her to blush furiously and run away the next moment, with the jade bottle in her hand.
