Unexpected Guest

Huang Dawei looked at his perfected Treasured Pill Dolls and placed them in Willow Diety's Garden. Liu Shen immediately saw the finished product of the young man and woman. They had become perfect sculptures, a perfect man and woman of golden proportions and they radiated Yin and Yang Qi. While the Yin Doll was a naked model of blue and violet luster, Yang was a naked model of red, yellow, and orange luster like a man on fire.

The two dolls were drawn to each other and for this reason, Huang Dawei sent Xiao Ya out and kept Qin Yuechi.

Outside, Huang Dawei handed her a number of array flags and she planted them all according to Huang Dawei's guidance. When she finished, the Treasured Pill Dolls were sealed and cut off from each other. And though they were next to each other, they could not see or sense each other.

"Huang Dawei, what exactly is this place?" Qin Yuechi asked, looking around the garden and feeling the pure qi.

"I snatched it from the Willow Diety's secret realm. It's not complete yet, that's why I've sealed everything I've thrown in here so far. When I get the second half of the formation plate, I'll put the seven-colored glazed bodhi root in a great lake with a nourishing formation. I'll create a cave for the Yin-Yang Treasure Pill Dolls. The Scorched Earth Parasol Tree will have a land of its own. I'll move the training ground and pagoda, expanding the garden. "Ten thousand realms?" Qin Yuechi asked.

Qin Yuechi stopped him and asked, "What about your clothes?"

Huang Dawei sighed and put on some pants but they were rather snug and left nothing to the imagination. Qin Yuechi enjoyed every moment of it. He then put on his robes and a simple waist belt.

"You look like a commoner compared to my battle dress." Qin Yuechi tittered.

" I don't have much that fits at the moment." Huang Dawei smirked in response.

"I can see that." Qin Yuechi stepped to him, her finger running down his chest.

Huang Dawei chuckled, "You know Liu Shen can see everything and is aware. Are you sure you want to show this side to her?"

Qin Yuechi eyed Liu Shen, "She does well to know how to tend to a man. You did well to show her the difference. Even before your body method reached Xuan level, you were impressive. Now…" she blushed remembering the moment he descended the sky in the Earth Womb Furnace.

"Haha, come one. Something's happening outside. Yaya won't let us go if we play while she works."

At the same time, Liu Shen was in her soul realm with one eye covered and the other open. She didn't know if she wanted to see or look away. But one then was certain, Prince Huang was no Chen Mu. She actually found it crazy to compare them now that she witnessed his unabashed form. It commanded her respect, awe, and…obedience.

Liu Shen was now calm and thinking straight. Meanwhile, Huang Dawei and Qin Yuechi appeared above ground in Changyan Town after they destroyed the formations created for refining. When they arrived, Xiao Yaya was holding a man by the throat in a field of bodies.

"Put my young master down!" A man shouted from the sky.

He was beaten and bloodied. And at a glance, Huang Dawei knew Xiao Ya had him on the ropes defending against her flying arrows as she slaughter the masses.

"Okay." Xiao Ya sang and the song ended with a snap and thud.

The man watched horrified.

"That…that was the son of…"

"Who cares" Qin Yuechi interrupted as she appeared behind the man and bisected him with fingers and a single downward slash.

Qin Yuechi waved her hand and tens of rings flew to her. She then snatched the old man's space ring and her eyes widened as she looked at the contents.

"We have to go now!" she roared.

"But Big Bird was beaten badly," said Xiao Ya.

"Dawei." Qin Yuechi snapped and he moved, pulling Big Bird into the Willow Deity's Garden.

Qin Yuechi then took Dawei and the trio fled. In the sky, Huang Dawei inquired.

"The Shang Dynasty," said Yuechi. "That boy was the youngest son of the Great Duanmu Family of the Shang Dynasty. I don't know every Dynasty, but I know Duanmu is the reason Shang Dynasty still exists and they are a Wuwang-level dynasty. That Wuzong I killed was a babysitter. That should say it all."

"What's our cover?" Xiao Ya suddenly asked.

"Sili County is known for its plum blossoms this time of year and its hills and horses." Huang Dawei replied. "I told you this before we left Qi State. But if you both stop panicking, I can get us back to Qi with our cover intact."

Qin Yuechi slowed to stop, "How?" asked.

"As you witnessed with Big Bird, the sky is the most dangerous place because the land of the five countries is so weak. However, only a Xuan Level martial artist can be a captain in my Void Sparrow unit. Do I need to explain why they're called such?"

Qin Yuechi smile as she replied, "No."

Huang Dawei then whistled and the sound rippled across the sky.

Xiao Ya and Qin Yuechi were then alerted to the presence of five Xuan level Swallow-tailed Sparrows. Upon their backs was the Sparrow 8 unit.

"Lord Huang!" a unit of twelve spoke

"I never gave them the all-clear because we were in such a rush. So they followed us. If I show up, I take command." said Huang Dawei.

He then looked at the unit and said "Send a message through the wire. My carriage needs to return to the capital now. And decoys sent to Changyan town. Clean everything and send the decoy deep into the land of a hundred dynasties. And tell Dongfang Qing to be expecting me."

"Yes lord,"

"Now we need your mount. And Sparrows along the route I took over the past week." Huang Dawei finished.

The trio arrived in the Capital four days before the tournament of Star Academy began. It was a long unending journey as the trio pushed the sparrows, switching as one got tired.

When the trio was miles out, they landed and awaited their carriage. They then entered the city as if the week was spent lounging and loving instead of raiding and killing.

Once in the city, Xiao Ya was let off in front of the Pill Pavillion. Qin Yuechi and Huang Dawei moved on to Qin Family where she disembarked and Huang Dawei went to his estate.

The moment he walked through the main gates he became direly serious. The High Perch was present and the Five Yi Commanders with 12 out of 34 sparrow captains.

"Lord Huang, forgive us but we couldn't stop them. I even gave the word to disregard my daughter's command, but the Emperor stepped out of the carriage." Yi Tianguang's voice transmission was sent directly to Huang Dawei.

'If I have to kill the emperor, I want to be ready.' Huang Dawei replied as he walked leisurely to the main hall.

'There's another Wuzong in the royal palace. And I need you to send a runner to Evergreen Star Pond. Ask for the Dowager and tell her that you side with Prince Kang and the Late Emperor. Alert Xiao Ya and Qin Yuechi. Then prepare to execute Over Turning the Dragon'

'Yes, Lord.'

All of the Xuan experts then vanished. The staff slowly made themselves scarce and the guards followed. By the time Huang Dawei entered the reception hall, he was the only one on the estate with Emperor Zhao and Concubine Yi.

"Lord Huang, welcome back!" Yi Fei sang, "Where are Lady Huang and Lady Qin?"

Huang Dawei smiled, "Away…To what do I owe this pleasure…Your Highness."

Huang Dawei bowed, but the emperor couldn't stifle the weariness of Huang Dawei's performance. Only a fool wouldn't notice the difference in Huang Dawei. Yi Fei just knew better than to ask questions and pretended not to notice. But the power that came from Huang Dawei and the subtle weight of his steps threatened to shatter the floor.

The emperor knew that he increased his power someway. It wasn't internal and or the soul. Still, the emperor had never seen physical power on the level that Huang Dawei was displaying. Everything in the Emperor's body told him that Huang Dawei was a very dangerous man and he was on guard.

The Emperor then searched for others and found that only three people was own the estate. The Emperor realized that Huang Dawei was also worried but confident. The only reason to send away one's people was for damage control knowing that the emperor's death couldn't be hidden.

'Ahhh, this steward…No, he was never a steward. This lord hid deep. Too deep for comfort.' Emperor Zhao Gao thought in his heart.

"Haha. Lord Huang, please stand." The Emperor chuckled with a carefree smile.

Huang Dawei followed up with a performance even better.

"I hope my servants treated you well. They have a tendency of doing their own thing," said Huang Dawei.

"I've sensed that. But all lords run their houses differently. I'm fine with it."

"That's good to hear. I thought your highness might of had a bad visit. It would have been a very hard thing to correct."

"Don't fret, Lord Huang, we're in goodwill as we should be. Not only have you served my Yi Fei well, but you managed the Yi family even better. I'm quite impressed."

"It's a work in progress, but I'm glad they're capable under my guidance. So, to what do I owe the pleasure?"

That casual exchange spoke volumes as both men relaxed. Now that everything was settled, they could get to business. Still, the staff never returned and the Emperor never expected them to.

The Emperor opened with a simple question that Huang Dawei couldn't follow.

"The Golden Peng on Hongmen Peak is gone. What does that have to do with anything?" Huang Dawei asked.

The Emperor smirked.

"Everything." he said, " Yi Fei tells me you're the young lord of some dynasty in the East continent. So you must know of the many secrets this world holds. Hongmen Peak is one of them and so is the Golden Peng."

"Since Yi Fei told you everything. You know I plan to leave after the Tournament of Five Countries. Now explain to me what's happening, why you've come to me, and why I should care?"

Huang Dawei had long planned a cover for Yi Fei to tell the Emperor. It ended with his plans to leave the Qi State and never return. In reality, Huang Dawei hoped to start taking over the Land of the Five Countries after this year's tournament.
