Divine power Vs Spirit power

(Third person's PoV)

While chu feng was speaking to Li Fengxian, everyone was on site had different reactions to this. Yu Ting was feeling anxious about the prospect of going back to the sect. She knew there would be punishment upon return to the sect but was also disappointed that she couldn't help Zi Ling this time. She was also afraid of what elder fenxian would do to chu feng if he mistakenly offends him.

(After Chu Feng's father helped her by increasing her talent Zi Ling went on her own journey and ended up becoming the strongest disciple of Hidden dragon martial sect. After that she wanted to come out to meet chu feng again but was caught and imprisoned by the sect punishment hall for breaking the rules. Yu Ting, her only friend came out risking punishment to find Chu Feng so that he could help her.)

Ox-Nose was feeling surprised that his student could sense the elder when he himself (5th levelDragon transformation sensation and 2nd rank Martial Exalted) couldn't. He also noticed that he couldn't see through his student anyone. When he received a sound transmission he was sure chu feng experienced something on his trip to nine souls galaxy. He wasn't surprised by his student's challenge. He was also filled with anticipation for the upcoming fight.

Suddenly when everyone saw Li Muzhi reveal his cultivation and after finding out about about his status in the hidden dragon marital sect they were finally able to accept that hidden dragon martial sect was way stronger than the other 4 upper star field rulers. As for whether Chu Feng's speculation about them being equal to holy light clan, they dare not think about it. What was holy light clan? The image of unparalleled overlord who ruled holy light galaxy for several millennia has been deeply imprinted into their minds.

However they had to admire a junior with the cultivation of 8th rank utmost exalted. According to what they know only one genius of holy light clan had the same cultivation. According to yu ting Li Muzhi was ten ranked disciple of his sect indicating 9 others with higher strength than him. As for chu feng standing before him they couldn't sense his true strength so they were not sure whether he would be a match for Li Muzhi.

However, all that stopped when they sensed the spirit power coming out of chu feng. Everyone here was strong enough to estimate the power. They were shocked to find out that it reached 8th rank utmost exalted meaning it was dragon transformation sensation 4th level.

Everyone on the scene was shocked and this didn't exclude Li Muzhi. Ox-nose was shocked that his student broke through. He was also sure chu feng got some opportunity in nine soul galaxy. He was also able to sense a peculiar oppression for that spirit power. When he took a closer look he was shocked by the quality of spirit power. It was at the same level as 8th utmost exalted but its was like the sovereign at the same level. Not just him, even Li Fengxian noticed this but remained silent. It was a battle between juniors so he couldn't intervene. He was also confident in his grandson.

Everyone else from the Long family was thoroughly astonished this time. What did it mean to have Dragon transformation sensation 4th level? He was only one level lower than the strongest world spiritist in the holy light galaxy. While that one level is an insurmountable gap for most people, the similar couldn't be said about chu feng because he was still a junior. It also means that it was only a matter of time before he reaches 5th level and then surpass the strongest in the galaxy.

(Chu feng's PoV)

I deliberately used 4th level Dragon transformation sensation without increasing it with my bloodline power or the nine dragon saint cloak. I wanted to crush this guy with the same level of power.

He was surprised by my spirit power but said, "It seems you do have some skill. Even in the sect you would be a top world spiritist but do you think you can challenge me with that level of cultivation? It's time to show everyone what our hidden dragon sect's geniuses can do. "

I smiled at his jab and said with composure, "Don't tell me you are one of those ignorant fools who believe that martial power is inherently superior to spirit power."

He looked me , "Spirit power is strong but I believe marital power is stronger and if you think that I am ignorant then prove it with your strength."

Ho, I have to say this guy isn't that bad. His pride and arrogance comes from his own strength and status but he isn't an unreasonable asshole like those other so-called geniuses from my past encounters. It's just that being cooped up in his sect made him not so knowledgeable about the outside world or atleast that's the impression he gave me.

I chuckled at that and said, "Do you know that holy light galaxy and nine soul galaxy belong to the eastern region?"

He was puzzled at why I asked that suddenly but replied, "Of course I do. What's your point?"

I asked him, "I do have a point. Similarly the southern region contains Seven Realms Galaxy and Divine Body Galaxy. Both of them are representation of their respective specialities. Seven realms sacred mansion is the gathering place of worlds strongest world spiritist and Divine body mansion is the gathering of strongest divine bodies in the whole martial cultivation. The respective clan heads of these overlord forces are experts at the apex of the entire vast outer world."

Li muzhi and everyone were wondering why I was talking about this but nonetheless they were curious about it and were paying close attention to what I was saying.

I paused and continued, "According to what I know sometime in the past both clan heads fought with each other to determine who was stronger. It was also a battle that was spread through the entire world. Sacred mansion head was someone who refined his spirit techniques to the extreme. Similarly divine mansion head cultivated his divine body to an extreme. It was also a fight between spirit power and marital power. In that fight Seven realms sacred mansion Head was the winner. "

Everyone was surprised by the information and when they learned that someone of that caliber fought. They imagined how powerful those experts could be. They were even more surprised by the outcome of the fight. It was like their entire frame of thinking was suddenly proved to be false. Well they are in for more surprises.

I continued, "By the way there are several seniors in Seven realms sacred mansion who have to same level of strength as the mansion head. In the current era Seven Realms Sacred Mansion is force with the deepest influence throughout the vast martial cultivation. Personally I use both martial and spirit power and I see merit in both but if some has to prove anything it's you not the other way around."

Every one including Li Fengxian was surprised by what I said. Li Fengxian was looking at me differently from before but I couldn't tell what he was thinking. I didn't want to delay the fight with more talk so I pulled all the stops and released to full extent of my spirit power. It was still at the same level as before but the intensity of spirit power was increasing steadily. My bloodline had the seal that was placed by my mother but still I could use some of it now after completely awakening it.

(Third person POV)

Li Muzhi was suddenly hit by my raw spirit power. He tried to resist it with his own martial oppressive might but found that he couldn't. He fell down from the void on the ground below and then stood up slowly. He face was filled with anger. He was never humiliated like this before.

He shouted with anger, "What kind of dishonest tricks did you use?"

Chu Feng look down on him, "Tricks? You can't even resist my raw spirit power and you dare say I used tricks. I didn't know geniuses of hidden dragon martial sect were sour losers."

Li Muzhi roared again with anger, "Hmph. Do you think you can decide who is winner just based on this?"

He might be angry but he wasn't an idiot. He then shook his hand and brought out an incomplete venerable armament. He was finally able to move under chu Feng' s oppressive might. He rushed into the void to engage in close combat with chu feng.

If any one could see through chu Feng' s mask right now they would see a derisive smile. Then he shook his head and condensed a sword with spirit power and welcomed Li Muzhi. The result was a powerful exchange of swords. Only the powerful members of the audience could see what was happening. They finally understood that Li Muzhi was truly strong. In fact if he was put among the geniuses of the rest of holy light galaxy he would undoubtedly be at the top. However, right now he was not facing another genius but a monster.

The close combat exchange quickly ended and everyone could see the result. Chu feng was completely unscathed and had the same serene countenance but on the other side Li Muzhi and several blood scars on his body. His hair was also in disarray and you could see blood seeping out his mouth. You could immediately tell who came on top in that brief exchange. This was the first time everyone from Long family saw chu feng take action and they quickly understood that he was another monster level character.

They saw the exchange before and witnessed how much control he had in the fight. Li Muzhi wasn't some random junior. Everyone witnessing could tell that his combat skill wa top notch that would make make most juniors ashamed. However watching chu feng was like watching a veteran cultivator instead of a junior. What did he go through to get that level of combat control? Did he receive guidance from some expert? What kind of obstacles did he fight in his life?

Little did they know his entire life until now has been a chain of tribulations that he had to overcome.

(Chu Feng' s PoV)

I did hold back a little bit but this is enough to get the message across. Unless he is truly stubborn he should understand the gap between us. I don't want to piss off that strong grandpa of his.

I looked at him again and said, "You should understand the gap between us. It's not shameful to admit defeat."

Who am I kidding? Just look at him. He is starting to release a marital technique. He is fuming with anger if that distorted expression on his face has to say something. I was wondering why he didn't increase his cultivation by using his divine power. Is it pride or did he think he can still win with his cultivation.

'Minor origin sword slash'

He then raised his sword and hundreds of swords started to form in the void above. By the distinct cyan colour the audience could determine it was a 4th rank exalted taboo martial skill.

I sighed and wave my hand above and a dense spirit power formed a partial black dragon. The dragon consisted of head and neck but was missing a body . It's size matched the coverage of swords. I made it incomplete because it was enough to offset that martial skill. He said sword slash but other than the raining swords I don't see any slash.

My dragon not only completely neutralised that skill and even severely pushed him back. Don't look at that incomplete dragon as some sort of construct that I just made. It is complete attract formation that I made during my time in sea immortal's formation. Right now I used an incomplete version of it. The complete version is stronger than a 5th rank exalted taboo skill but weaker than 6th rank exalted taboo skill. However, that was because of the time constraint. If I spend enough time I am completely confident I will be able to make it equivalent to a very strong 6th rank exalted taboo or even higher.

I looked at him and shook my head, "Looks like you don't listen to reason."

He screamed with anger, "Don't get ahead of yourself. Do you think that was my strongest skill? Take this"

He lifted his sword again and shouted, "Origin Sword Slash"

I looked up in the void saw thousands of swords stronger than before gather. I knew it. The skill before was a down graded version of this. Anyone could tell by that blue colour that this was a 5th rank Exalted taboo skill.

I was getting ready to counter attack but I saw the skill changing. I had a guess as to what was happening but I let him finish it. All the thousands of swords merged together to form a gigantic sword. This sensation..damn it. I was right. I cursed him underneath my mask. Did this guy really have to take it this far?

By now along with me everyone in the audience could sense what was happening. The older generation were applauding that some one could use profound truth of a martial skill at such a young age. And looking at him it wasn't just a preliminary truth but a profound truth at a near perfection stage. He looked like he was struggling but other he was alright. This represented his control over the marital skill.

(Martial skill of 5th rank exalted taboo and above were special because with certain comprehension and mastery one could display the complete essence of the martial skill. This is known as profound truth of a martial skill. The degree to which profound truth of a martial skill could be displayed differs from person to person.)

Now that he used a strong profound truth like that I have to take seriously. You want to go? Then let's go. My expression turned cold as I pulled all the stops in executing my attack formation.

(Third Person PoV)

Some of them especially long xiaoxiao and yu ting were worried after seeing the huge sword. Given their background they both know about profound truth and what it represented. Ox-nose had a calm expression on his face and was looking forward to his students reply.

As everyone was marvelling at the martial still they heard a loud dragon cry from chu feng. Behind him covering a large part of the sky stood a pitch black dragon. It had long body with long and sturdy tail. There was fire coming out of it's huge mouth as it roared toward the heavens with an unruly demeanour. It had eyes which were sparkling with lightning. It curled around chu feng to gain momentum and attacked the sword. The clash was intense releasing shocking waves everywhere.

The Long family Head had to cover the younger generation to shield them from the after effects of that clash. The rest of the older generation were wondering if such a combat power can really exuded from 8th rank utmost exalted juniors. They were also astonished by the fact that a world spiritist could come up with such combat power. They heard what chu feng said earlier but things like that are beyond their understanding.

The outcome of the clash was same as before. Chu Feng was completely unscathed but Li Muzhi's condition got worse.

(Chu feng's POV)

At this point I don't feel like showing off anymore. If not for that old man keeping an eye on me I would have rushed forward and knockout his stubborn ass.

I regained my composure and asked him again, "You should give up now. You are only hurting yourself at this point. I can see that your pride is hurt so let me ask you a question. From what I understand you are not the strongest junior in your sect. So, is it that hard to swallow the fact that there is junior in the holy light galaxy who could beat you and not part of your sect?"

He was filled with anger when I asked the question but then laughed loudly, "You are right. I don't know what methods you have used but I am indeed not your opponent on the same level and it also hurts my pride. Compared to my hidden dragon martial sect the other so-called geniuses are not worth mentioning. Also, who said I lost this fight?"

Strange gases came out him which for a huge sword in the void which went back into his body. Guess he finally released his divine power. A sword divine power, a powerful one at that. Humph, how fitting I guess.

His cultivation level also increased from 8th utmost exalted to 9th utmost exalted. That's when everyone realised that he hasn't used his divine power yet. The he used the same skill as before with the profound truth. The sword was larger and more powerful than before. That wasn't the end he fused the incomplete exalted armament with his divine power which strengthened the aura of the sword. It was as if it was ready to slash the heavens. He was looking at me with a mocking smile as if saying 'So what if I can't defeat you at the same level I can increase my cultivation'

At the same time everyone looked at me. Some gazes were filled with curiosity, some with worry and one cheap master with anticipation. Tsk, I have to kick that old man's ass once this over.

On my side I was completely and royally pissed. He is very strong. Like he said, no other known genius form holy light galaxy could match him. Even that genius from holy light clan Shangguan Nian with 9th Utmost Exalted level would be toast in front of this guy. However, he was not facing those trash. He was facing me. I just gave this stubborn brat a fair chance and also showed our difference but he still didn't learn a lesson. I guess we will have to do this the wrong way. Even if they couldn't see my face right now everyone could feel that my vide suddenly turned cold.

I didn't look at him. Instead I looked at Li Fengxian and said, "Senior, to give your grandson a fair chance I used the same level of power as he did. Looking at him right now he stubborn pride is impeding his ability to see reason. So, I wont be polite anymore and use my full strength. You should look out for your grandson in case of any accident."

I released my bloodline power and immediately my level increase to 9th utmost exalted. Now I had more leeway I could use my attack formation with more fluidity which would result in great power. I just got an idea and I decided what the hell. Let's finish it with a bang.

A dragon roar even louder than before was heard. A black dragon even larger than before covered the sky above chu feng. It roared as if it were the sovereign of all the beasts. Immediately after the dragon there was a feral roar a black tiger presented it self on the side of the dragon. I roared as if it were escaping from the pits of hell and would obliterate anything obstacle that would prevent it. It was followed by a screech as a pitch black bird covered both the dragon and tiger in the sky as if it ruled it. A loud hiss from the ground below as a black turtle stood there as if were holding the sky on it's back. I rose further into the sky and stood on the dragon's head and looked below and uttered the words,

"Demonic Beast Abyss Fusion - First Turn"

(Third person POV)

Li Muzhi stared at chu feng and the four demonic looking beasts in incredulity. Not just him, everyone in the audience was the same way. The next moment they were shocked as they sensed his oppressive might rising before it reached 1st level Martial Exalted. That when they understood my worlds before when I said I was giving him a fair chance. 5th rank- Dragon transformation sensation. It was the highest in the entire holy light galaxy and yet a junior before them had the reached the same level. This was definitely history in the making and yet some veterans in the audience turned pensive watching this. Long Ao immediately gave a signal that no matter what happens no one is to reveal what happened he today. Anyone who breaks it would be punished by death. He knew it would only bring trouble to chu feng if the holy light clan knew about his. Although this level of power was strong it was nothing in front of the holy light clan. Gears were also turning in his head about the relationship between his daughter and chu feng.

With the increase in power even the four beast grew in size and strength. Even ox-nose who had the same level of strength and years of experience was apprehensive when facing the gigantic beasts.

Chu Feng watched all this in silence with folded arms. Then he turned to Li Muzhi who still had a shocked expression and asked with an extremely calm voice, "Do you still want to continue?"

Hearing that calm voice Li Muzhi felt a shive down his spine. His expression was now filled with fear but looking back at his grandfather, he took a deep breath and calmed down and snorted, "Humph, well looks like you are stronger. I give up. I don't know what methods you used to reach that level but I will surpass you in the future."

(Chu Feng's PoV)

I laughed at that and asked him again, "Do you think I am inferior to you Hidden dragon great disciples?"

He snorted again but didn't answer. I didn't mind that. He wasn't really a bad guy. He was just a little prideful and ignorant of the world that's all.

There was a voice that said, "Muzhi, don't be a sore looser."

Suddenly, rays of light which originated from Li Fengxian spread through the surrounding space. It was like there was new sun in the sky whose power was immeasurable. When the light passed through Long Ao and Ox-nose they knew I was right about his cultivation. Both of them once witnessed holy light clan head's strength. This oppressive might is weaker than that but stronger than Long Ao.

When the rays passed through the four beasts I made they immediately disintegrated into nothing. I didn't do anything not that I could under that level of strength. He was just doing that to establish his prestige and I'm okay with that.

I came to the ground and found that Yu Ting disappeared and came to Li Muzhi's side. I then looked at Li Fegxian and said, "I succeeded in the challenge so I hope senior would persuade the punishment hall of your sect to be lenient with her."

Because of the light I couldn't see his face but I heard him chuckle, "Apart for completing the task it was a rewarding experience to encounter a genius of your caliber in the holy light galaxy. Our sect's rules might seem overbearing but it is also a way of giving protection to those talents until they mature. I am tempted to bring you back to sect but someone of your mentality won't be able to stay happy in the sect. Your strength also doesn't need much protection."

I smiled at that and said, "I heard there is a challenge portal through which any junior with sufficient strength could enter the sect. When my martial cultivation reaches 9th rank upmost exalted I will take the test to see how challenging it is." Then I turned to Li Muzhi and Yu Ting and said, "Both of you are also seem to be enthusiastic world spiritist so take this as a gift." I sent two formation jades which inscribed my Dark Abyss Dragon Attack formation method in detail.

They looked surprised especially Li Muzhi. He must be wondering why I gave him that. I looked at him and said with a mocking smile, "It is an attack formation I created and used before I used my true strength .If you can't even master that formation you are not qualified to challenge me again."

The light grew stronger, there was a rupture in surrounding space and the three of them disappeared from the view. I heard a voice following their departure. "I will uphold my end of the deal and persuade the law enforcement hall elders. As for whether they follow is their choice. I hope you are successful when you challenge our entrance formation."

Once the voice faded I could sense many presences coming toward the core area. It was the Long family guards. One of the long family guards knelt to Long Ao and said, "Lord Clan Head, the fellow clansmen are worried by the oppressive might they felt earlier and they assumed it was an enemy attack. Now the whole clan is in a state of panic. I plead my lord send the elder to deal with the situation."

I saw that Long Ao busy himself with clan affairs and directing many clansmen to quell the general panic. Long xiaoxiao and my cheap master came to me in a hurry. I knew I had to answer some things to make it seem non-suspicious. That whole story of ancient inheritance that I fed Wang Yuxian aka Little Lele won't work on my master as he was with me when that ancient inheritance was passed down.

However contrary to my expectation he just put his hand on my shoulder and said, "They say the younger generation surpasses the senior. It looks like it won't be long before that happens". To the others it might seem like he is grounding me so that I would be humble and encouraging me at the same time. Only I knew the deeper meaning in that sentence. He is right. I will grow stronger and surpass both my parent and make them proud.
