Ancient Knowledge

"Inas?"

'Why does it sound so familiar?'

Iwan murmured without realizing that both Flash and Inas were looking at him.

"Didn't I tell you I was your family's patron?"

"Mhmm."

"Your family started carrying the name of this unparalleled being a hundred years ago."

Inas told while pointing his starry finger at himself.

Iwan was silently absorbing everything that he had learned.

'That guy is a God. This one in front of me must be in cahoots with him.'

Iwan looked at Flash and Inas, finally connecting the two beings with him in the hall.

'I have become his apostle by just telling him my full name. Since my body listened to his command before I could react, it would be correct to consider my future life a profound start to slavery.'

Iwan nodded his head as he settled down with his bitter feelings. There was nothing he could do except go with the flow.

Iwan looked at the hall that had changed beyond recognition. The hall seemed to be infinite, along with all the shining stars that burned bright. But, no matter how brightly they shined, the darkness still ruled the hall like a parasite.

'It isn't too bad.'

Iwan smiled as even though this situation was surprising, it wasn't as bad as his life on Earth.

"I haven't seen anything more beautiful than this space."

Iwan told while looking directly at Inas.

'He is just a patron of our family.'

Iwan had no hatred for the man in front of him. On the contrary, it was momentary spite just because Inas had appeared with the face of Iwan's father.

"This is just a speck of my power."

Inas said with a confident tone. His voice was still as clear as ever.

"I see. If you are so powerful, then how can I help you?"

"What do you want from me?"

Iwan folded his arm in front of his chest and got to the point without beating around the bush.

"I already got what I wanted from you. You have already become my apostle."

Inas laughed and then raised his right hand in front of him.

"Boom!"

With a flick of his finger, a blast resounded around the space Inas had created inside the hall.

"Before I tell you your job, let me start from the beginning."

For the first time, a gruff voice escaped the starry being.

Iwan was nervous, but he didn't mind getting a heads up about what he was facing.

'Screech~'

Iwan got up and dragged his chair next to Flash.

First, the popcorn and then the little bit of remaining Bepsi were snatched away by Iwan. Flash could only look at Iwan with contempt in his eyes but didn't dare to stop him in front of Inas.

"Ahem!"

Inas cleared his throat. A being like him did not need to, but it was a method that only a higher being like Inas would use to garner his listener's attention.

Both Iwan and Flash looked at Inas with attention while the surrounding changed.

Darkness.

Everything became dark around them.

'Nothingness.'

Iwan couldn't see or feel anything. Not even himself.

It was a scary situation for him as this was what nothingness felt like.

A line appeared that separated the nothingness into two perfect halves.

"In the start, there was nothing except for Lights and Shadows."

Giant beings having celestial bodies appeared on both sides.

On the right, the beings shined beautifully. Their light was boundless, but at the same time, from the other side, creepy shadows ultimately pushed back the light.

Thus, rivaling the lights were their enemies, who were as powerful as them.

The Shadows.

'So, they are the Gods and Devils.'

A picture was formed by the words that left Inas' mouth, and Iwan could already fathom the true nature of these existences.

The rolling picture story, along with a deep voice commentary, left Iwan without complaints.

"Indeed."

Inas suddenly said while looking at Iwan as though he had read Iwan's unspoken thought by peering into his mind.

"The wars between the two existences in the endless nothingness bored the Gods first. After that, they were bored to the extent that they grew tired of the devils."

"From bored to becoming tired forced the Gods to fall into a state of laziness. A god becoming lazy was nothing less than a human committing a grave sin. With that, the war slowly turned in the direction which favored the Devils."

"Thus, the most muscular gods, known as the seven lights of nothingness, finally decided to bring forth a cluster of life that will keep all the Gods active and entertained."

The lights and shadows disappeared, and galaxies appeared around Flash and Iwan.

Not one. Not two. Hundreds and even then, they kept spawning in hundreds of thousands every second.

"Multiple Worlds. Multiple races. An ever-changing tale. This was the beginning of life for you. While this also energized the Gods as they laughed and screamed at the creations that always gave them surprises."

Multiple Worlds like Earth, filled with life, revolved around Inas.

Iwan stared at them carefully, but no matter how much he tried, he couldn't count them as they kept increasing.

Inas stopped while Iwan gave up on counting the worlds.

'This is useless.'

"I don't want to burden you with the Ancient Knowledge of Lights. So, feel free to ask me anything."

An understanding teacher is someone who gives time to his student. And Inas was a prime example of that.

"What has that to do with me?"

Iwan complained.

'Now, I understand why that bastard, Crimson Raven, tortured me before killing me.'

Iwan finally knew how atrociously taxing it was to hear someone's story even though it was so well presented.

"So, no questions. Then, I shall continue."

Inas wasn't bothered at all. But, his reactions did cause Iwan to slouch on his chair.

"Everything was fine till the Devils started targeting the Worlds."

"The devils? Those shadows?"

Iwan was shocked to hear that.

To him, the Gods ( lights ) and the Devils ( shadows ) looked like mighty beings, but he couldn't understand why one of these mighty beings would target the entertainment of another.

"Yes. The devils target the worlds with only one goal."

"What could their goal be?"

Iwan interjected once again with a big smile on his face.

After losing the motivation to hear what Inas had to say, Iwan had decided to interrupt at every chance he would get.
