CHAPTER 243 – Decree 2

To Era's amazement, the second she pried her eyes open, she was standing so close to the balcony rails overlooking the crowd of people gathered below.

Her heart skipped a bit and her jaw dropped when she saw the smile on their faces. It took her about a minute to register fully what was happening before she looked to her side to see Vidor. 

She did not have to say anything but the look on her face told him all she wanted to speak off.

Immediately, an uproar of cheers erupted from beneath them, sending her heart jumping straight into her mouth.

"Oh my!" She gasped and placed a hand on her chest, admiring the sight before her. They weren't speaking but the smiles worn on their faces were enough to make her feel happy for a lifetime.

It wasn't forced, neither did these people look like those made to do things they did not want to do.
