ALREADY MADE UP?

"It wasn't me! I didn't tell him anything!", 'Vier' hurriedly defended himself against Arianna's inquisitive look.

From Vier, Arianna transferred her glance to Carl.

"There's nothing to talk about. There won't be any wedding anyway. You don't have to concern your self about these matters." she answered in one breath.

"So, it wasn't true that you're marrying that guy? Honestly, I don't really trust him. He was Belle's ex-boyfriend after all." Carl studied Arianna's expression as he was saying those words. As if analyzing if his daughter was telling the truth. Arianna looked away avoiding his dad's stares.

"What a coincidence. So do I." she answered in a lazy manner. She then focused her eyes on Vier sitting in front of her. "So, what business do we have here? Isn't there anything else other than my wedding to be discussed? Why is Mr. dela Vega even here with us?"

"Why do I feel like, you're avoiding the subject too much? Your mother was quite worried, you know!", Carl stated while shaking his head.

"Mom knows about it, too?" Arianna quickly asked as she stared at her dad. How did her mother find out?

Carl nodded. "We came back together last night. Yago picked us up and brought your mom here. It's a good place for her to rest."

"But isn't this place under renovation? I know of some good places, too! Why didn't you call me? You even asked him instead of me!", Arianna blurted out as she pointed a finger to the man across her. A second later, she suddenly realized something. "Wait, what did you just called him?"

Carl stared at Arianna but didn't explain anything. He looked at the young man before standing up from his seat. "Your mom will be staying here for a few weeks. Stay with her tonight. She really missed you. Yago owned this place. Tell him if you need anything."

After saying his piece, Carl turned to leave. Arianna was left alone sitting absentmindedly with the young man in front of her. She didn't hear him wrong. Carl did call him Yago. What's going on?

"You didn't tell him the truth?" she said with narrowed eyes. "Why didn't you tell him who you really are?"

Yago was silent. He did tell Carl the truth. The stubborn middle aged man refused to cooperate and call him Vier afterwards! What was he to do about that? He's now doubting if telling Carl the truth was the right thing to do!

"Your mother recognized me as Yago. She was still recovering so I didn't say anything else in fear that I might stir her emotions further. She... cried when she saw me at the airport.." he answered as an excuse.

Arianna fell silent. That was true, too. She can imagine Dianna hugging Yago and crying as they meet again after a long time of separation. Her mother dotes on Yago very much. She would surely be devastated if she finds out what happened to her 'son'.

"How long are you planning to pose as Yago?" she asked with furrowed brows.

"Only your parents are allowed to call me that way around here. Outside, please refer to me as Vier." he requested. He badly wanted to regain his real identity, but it's not possible yet. As he look at the woman in front of him, he felt the urge to pull her into his arms. He could abandon his identity, but never this woman.

"Cousin, how long are we going to stay at this island?"

Ellaine glanced at Atasha who was sitting on the couch while watching a foreign tv program. Atasha had been following her for a few years now, but this is the first time she felt pity for her.

"Are you bored now?" Ellaine asked as she look away. She turned to the balcony and stood against the strong blowing wind. "I'm sorry. It's my fault that you have to endure being trapped here."

Ellaine looked at the dark night sky. Actually, she and Atasha wasn't supposed to be here. She didn't know what happened, but the very next day after her engagement with Vier, senior dela Vega suddenly banished his son to this remote island. She didn't know what happened either. Even Vier didn't resist his father, and madam dela Vega asked her to accompany Vier for a few days, but ever since she came, Ellaine lost the heart to leave her fiance alone in here.

"It's not your fault." Atasha replied, shaking her head.

"Yes, it is." she refuted. "You're here because of me. Tomorrow morning, I will arrange a chopper for you. It pains me that I'm putting so much burden in you."

"It's not because of me. I'm just worried for you." Atasha explained. "You've been here for some time now, but that Vier didn't appreciate your presence. He has been avoiding you! Look! He even stayed at a different mansion when he was arranged to live here with you!"

Ellaine took a deep breath. What her cousin said wasn't wrong. Vier seemed to hate her. He did his best to avoid her. She can only look at him from a distance. Was it true that all these are just a waste of time? She was staying here for a fallen heir, but was their engagement even valid? Should she be thinking of going back now?

From a distance, Ellaine saw a figure walking under the moonlight. The full moon was shining bright, and she could see a man strolling along the beach. The sight of him brings pain in her heart. Should she really leave Vier in this desolate private island alone?

After a couple of knocks, Dianna got up to open the door. Her smile instantly widen when she saw the two youngsters standing outside of her room. She opened her arms to the girl and hugged her tightly.

"My dear Yan, you're here!" she exclaimed. Arianna nodded and made a small sound. "Your brother is here, too! Have you already made up?"
