39. The Troublemaker

Kalibata Apartment, unit G, 9th floor, Jakarta.

Srek! Brak! Syeng!

"Ugh!" Sania squirmed on Lona's soft sofa. The woman blinked her eyes, then glanced at the clock above Lona's old TV.

"Oh my! It's already 8 o'clock!" Sania exclaimed in surprise when she saw the clock on the wall showed 5 minutes past 8 o'clock.

"Aren't you on the night shift today?" asked Lona from the kitchen.

"I changed shifts with Nataya. In the morning I will work at the supermarket and in the evening I will work at the bar. Gosh, I'm late…" Sania took her belongings in a panic, the woman took her cellphone and also her bag and walked towards the entrance.

"Yes! You didn't have breakfast first?" asked Lona who saw Sania rushing to put on her shoes.

"No. My boss will fire me if I arrive late," said Sania, quickly tying her shoelaces. "Bye! I'm leaving!" he cried then before disappearing behind the door.
