Chapter 18

The family had set out soon after in an old Jeep that had been running for years without issues.

Most of the drive was filled with Joseph and Esther arguing over where they thought the residence was located and eventually they had gone with Esther's description because she had claimed to have had a 'gut feeling'.

Strangely enough, this gut feeling had led them to what could only be described as a gated city that had the words 'RR' in the largest font possible on the main gate.

"I think this is it," Joseph whispered quietly as the car came to a halt.

The entire family stepped out and stared ahead at the huge gates in front of them.

They had known that they were coming to meet a wealthy family that referred to their house as a residence but they had not in any way expected what they were currently looking at.

"Is this where I will be living?," Esther asked no one in particular as she looked up and down, her eyes flitting around and in disbelief.
