Chapter 4: READY FOR THE CONCERT.

Penelope's Pov:

I tried pushing him away but couldn't as he kept weighing me down and kissing me.

The next thing he did was that he sent his hands under my skirt and my fears increased.

Chris can't do this to me! I'm not ready for this.

NO!!

Without looking, I moved my hand and reached for the glass of wine on the table and luckily, I was able to get it.

I took it up and poured it into his face and it inconvenienced him. That way, I was able to push him away and stood on my feet immediately.

"Penelope…"

"What the hell's wrong with you, Chris?" I yelled angrily and brooked him from holding my hand.

I nabbed my bag from the chair and ran out of the house immediately.

"Penelope, wait!" I heard him call after me but didn't stop to look at him as I took to my heels and got to the gate.

I opened the gate myself and rushed out.

I sighed heavily as I hit my chest, trying to calm myself from the incident.

Thank goodness!

I saw a cab immediately I got to the road and I boarded it.

I got home feeling really angry and perturbed. I was so paranoid.

Why the hell did Chris act the way he did? Would he had seriously forced himself on me? How could he do such a thing?

Damn!

I was so restless and couldn't even think of eating. I thought he was a nice person?

I mean, I trusted him.

How could he think of forcing himself on me?

If I had been unable to stop him, would he have really raped me?

I didn't even take off my uniforms but just laid quietly on the bed.

What Chris did was really shocking.

And I swear, I never expected it from him.

I heard my phone ringing and discovered it was him calling.

I ended the call and put the phone on silent mode and kept it far from me. I can't even think of talking to him right now.

What else does he have to say, huh?

I shook my head and stared at the ceiling. This is so disappointing. Could I be making a mistake falling for someone like him?

I kept brooding about the whole thing and didn't realize when I slept off.

I woke up hours later with my family still feeling heavy and muzzy. Well, how wouldn't I? When I had been thinking even in my dreams?

I took up my phone and discovered eleven missed calls and two messages.

What the heck?!

I checked out the missed calls and discovered that seven was from Chris while four from Ivy.

I opened then messages and both was from Chris.

The first one read; ''Please Penelope, I'm sorry.''

And the second: ''Just pick up the call. Give me a chance to explain, please.''

I rolled my eyes and dropped the phone back on the bed. The whole thing was still a shocker to me.

So, what could he possibly want to explain?

I was about picking up the phone again when I heard a knock on the door and sluggishly went to check it out.

I opened the door and surprisingly, well — not really surprisingly — it was Ivy.

"Geez! What the hell's wrong with you, Penelope? Why weren't you picking your calls? I called for like a hundred times." She rushed her words immediately she spotted my face, not even giving me a chance to breathe.

I looked at her from head to toe and confirmed she was looking good.

Wow!

A black short, pink top and black boots.

"It was just four missed calls, Ivy. Stop being dramatic." I rolled my eyes and said as I made way for her to come in.

"Hold on," she scoffed.

"Why are you still on uniform?" She asked and the thought flashed into my mind.

Gosh! I didn't even realize.

"What have you been doing Penelope?" She asked, almost yelling.

"I was so exhausted and slept off, okay?" I rolled my eyes and replied and sat on the bed while she scoffed.

"Really? Do you realize what the time is? Penelope! You're gonna make me late for Andrew's concert!"

Oh!

Andrew's concert?!

Gosh, I almost forgot or maybe I totally forgot.

Oh! No wonder she's looking so good.

"Come on, P, you're such a kill joy. You know, I told you countless times to get ready in time so we can go early. How could you forget?" She said in utmost bitter in her voice and I sighed and stood up.

"I'm sorry, okay? I'll be done in a second." I said tiredly and walked into the bathroom.

I showered and came out with a towel and surprisingly, Ivy had already selected a dress and shoe for me to make use of.

Seriously?

"Hurry up, Penelope. Go on and dress up." She said hastily as she took the cloth from the bed and handed it to me.

It was a short red gown and she wanted me to put it on with a blue sneakers which was already on the floor.

I shook my head and walked to the wardrobe to get my undies and after changing into them, I put on the gown and took a look in front of the mirror.

Geez! It was just so smart and tight and brought out my curves.

"Wow! You're definitely going to draw attention out there P" Ivy said from behind, smiling.

"I don't like it, Ivy. It's too…"

"It's perfect." She cut me off and took a brush from the make up take, brushing my hair with it.

I sighed and folded my hands and watched from the mirror as she brushed and made my hair fall freely on my shoulders.

I took a red lip gloss and applied and that was the only make up I did.

I didn't like much make up, anyway.

"Come on, come on, come on, Penelope. Let's get going." She said as she took the sneakers from the floor and handed them to me.

"Chill, okay? The concert isn't running away." I grumbled.

"Yeah, but time is."

I took the sneakers and went to my shoe shelf, keeping it back there.

"And what are you…"

"I just don't feel like putting on sneakers, Ivy. I'll just go for something simple." I interrupted her and took a blue netted sandals instead.

I wore them on and went for a blue emoji bag and when I turned to look at Ivy, I noticed she was staring and smiling at me.

"What's wrong?" I asked with a scoff and she smiled even wider.

"You're just beautiful, Penelope." She complimented while I blushed but tried to conceal it with an eye roll.

"So…can we get going?" I asked and she laughed and took her bag and phone and we left the room together.
