WHY SHE BECAME THE QUEEN OF DARKNESS

Nathalia Watson was just only five years old when she was first sent in the Realm of the Gods to learned how to become the next Queen of Darkness and rule over the Underworld.

It was also then that she learned for the first time that she was actually the daughter of the previous Lord of Darkness.

Fates of Gods, as well as the Demigods like Nathalia, were determined by the fate spinners.

Fate spinners had three personas which each represent the past, the present, and last is the future.

These fate spinners were collectively known as Moira.

They used to determine the events of the worlds as well as the fates of the Gods and the Demigods alike through the mystic spinning of threads that represent their individual fates.

Moira of the future, gifted Nathalia a fated love right after she received her father's post.

But she was not allowed to meet the other party until it was not the right time.

A time which would be decided by the fate spinners as well.

It was only after almost three and a half centuries of waiting did she finally had news about her fated husband.

Just today, the Moira of the present visited her on her dream.

And on her dream, Moira of the present told her that she would be meeting her fated husband today. Just as how they promised her.

Aidoneous, her father, was the only God who did not receive a fated love from any of the three Moira's before.

The fate spinners that time thought that it was actually for his own good. To which the Council of Gods agreed readily.

Since they also believed that it would just distract the Lord of Darkness from fulfilling his duties in the Underworld.

After all, Aidoneous tasked is not just about maintaining the peace and order among the creatures of the dark.

He was also responsible for guiding the souls of the deceased into the After Life.

But more than that is the fact that there were no Goddesses in the Realm of the Gods who were willing to marry Aidoneous and accompany him in ruling the Underworld.

This was the most depressing reason why the Lord of Darkness was deprived of a lover.

Never did they imagine that this will eventually lead Aidoneous to become emotionally and physically detached from the Realm of the Gods

He preferred the company of humans over the company of his fellow Gods and Demigods.

Aidoneous used to spend most of his time lingering in the mortal world.

And in the end, he eventually fell in love with a mortal girl, named Corina. Nathalia's mother.

A love affair between a God and a mere mortal was forbidden and against the rules in the Realm of Gods.

So when the Council of Gods learned about Aidoneous affair with a mortal, they instantly set them apart.

The Moira of the past felt disheartened about this. Because she believed that all of this would not happen if they did not neglect him and if they only gave him a fated love of his own.

So one day, the Moira of the past talked to Aidoneous in his dream and taught him what he needs to do so that he could elope with Corina.

But of course, the Moira of the past also told the Lord of Darkness about the price that he had to pay for this.

A price that Aidoneous was willing to pay.

On the very next day, Aidoneous headed to the Mount of Epiro to talked with the Council of Gods.

There he asked for a cup of water from the Fountain of Life and Death.

Because Aidoneous, had accumulated a lot of good deeds over time, the Council of God had no other choice but to accede to his request

Especially so when this was the only request that he had made so far to his brothers and sisters ever since they had decided to rule over the world and different realms.

Aidoneous asked for the water from the Fountain of Life and Death knowing that the liquid would get rid of his power as well as his immortality.

Once he drank the water from the fountain, he would become no different from a mortal, which Aidoneous desired the most.

All he wanted was to spend the rest of his life with the woman he loved the most and lived a normal mortal life

The Lord of Darkness, Aidoneous, eventually decided to resign on his post as the chief responsible for ruling the Underworld.

But aside from losing all his power and immortality, Aidoneous also have to make another deal with the fate spinners as well as the Council of Gods.

He would have no choice but to gift his firstborn to the Realm of Gods.

So that it would be trained to be the next ruler of the Underworld as well as to continue his duties and responsibilities in the Underworld.

Naturally, as the Lord of Darkness' only daughter, Nathalia became the one responsible to continue where her father left off

At the young age of five, she was sent to a far off place to study leadership and everything she needs to know about ruling a world.

To which she was not alone, because the sons and daughters of the other Gods and Demigods were also sent to that specific place.

And from there, learn about everything they need to know regarding their duties and responsibilities in the Realm of Gods.

The three Moira watched over Nathalia over the years.

The Council of Gods also maintained a tight watch over the girl

They cannot allow for that same mistake to happen

Both the Council of Gods as well as the three fate spinners were worried that Nathalia, just like her father, would going to eventually leave her post once she fell in love.

So to avoid the history from repeating itself, the three Moira and the Council of Gods agreed to bestow her with a fated husband as soon as she became the next ruler of the Underworld.

Her husband should be someone who could accompany and help her with her duties as the chief mistress of the Underworld.

But just like on her father's case, there is no God who was willing to accompany the next Queen of Darkness and lived with her together at the Underworld

That was when the Moira of the future decided to intertwin Nathalia's thread into a nameless child that she will going to meet on her first ever mission as the new chief mistress of the Underworld.
