OOPS MY BAD! (2)

"Aiden relax... Don't scare yourself. This was just a dysfunctional light bulb, nothing else."

He said, trying hard to calm himself down. But his heart did not want to cooperate and it kept on pounding on his chest and he was starting to get edgy.

He did not want to scare himself.

All he wanted to do was to rest and have a good night's sleep as soon as he finished his session with Dr. Coolman yet it seemed that it would no longer be as easy as that.

"No Aiden. Don't scare yourself. It was just a malfunctioning bulb."

He said to himself doing another pep talk. However, this time his voice was a little forceful when he said the words.

Then he reached towards the sink to wash his face.

Hoping that by doing so, he could also wash away the fear that was slowly creeping upon him.

The sound of water running from the opened faucet filled the small comfort room and Aiden docked down the sink to wash his face with the water.

But then another scenario in the horror movies that he used to watch came to his imagination.

At the movies, those who usually washed their face in the sink of their comfort room will soon find someone standing behind them as soon as they looked at their reflection in the mirror.

His imagination sure knew how to run wild at the right timing.

With his eyes tightly closed, Aiden lifted his head from the sink as soon as he was done washing his face.

He intended to leave the comfort room without opening his eyes, out of the fear that once he looked back at his own reflection in the mirror he would saw something scary.

But for some unknown reason, something compelled Aiden to do the opposite

So before he knew it, Aiden already opened his eyes and stared back at his own reflection in the mirror.

There he saw himself standing alone in the comfort room.

There was no one aside from him and the light of his comfort room was also no longer flickering.

"See?? I told you. Nothing to worry about. You were just scaring yourself for nothing"

Aiden said to himself as he talked to his own reflection.

'HOOT HOOT'

Aiden was just about to step outside his comfort room and end the farce that he created by himself when a large owl suddenly flew from the opened window and swooped down on him.

He hurriedly dodged the flying owl and the bird flew straight all the way to the door going out of the comfort room.

"hmmm.. What a strange owl. He must have been lost. Poor thing."

Aiden thought about catching the owl that had been trapped inside his room before going to bed that night.

Then he would just surrender it in some rescue center afterward once he got discharged.

But what happened next made his whole body stiff, rendering him incapable of even taking a single step.

Because out of the corner of his eyes, he saw someone sitting at the sink

Slowly, he turned on his heel to face the intruder and there he saw for the second time around, the same beautiful pair of silver gray eyes staring back at him.

"Hello my dear husband, you miss me???"

Nathalia greeted him with a bright smile but before Aiden could even answer back, he already passed out due to all the sudden anxiety heaping upon him.

His face planted on the floor.

'HOOT! HOOT!'

[Your Highness! What have you done to the poor lad?!!!]

"I don't know??? I didn't do any! I just smiled at him, just like what you told me?!!! I told you, it won't work! HAIXT!"

Nathalia whined in frustration before she unceremoniously picked Aiden's fallen body and tossed it at one of her shoulders as if she was just caring a sack.

"HOOT! HOOT!"

[Your Highness! Be careful!]

But Hootie's warning was a second late because Aiden's head already come in contact at the door frame as Nathalia tried to carry him back to his bed.

'BANG!"

The sound of head hitting something concrete followed afterward.

'Oops! My bad."
