ONE STORMY NIGHT

Right after that, Miguel's felt weak and his knees buckled.

He slumped on the floor as well and muttered under his breath in despondency.

"And I deserved all of this too."

He said weakly as he thought about how his life would going to change after that night.

Without his uncle to support him, Miguel knew that his life would never be the same again

In fact, he was not sure how he would going to make ends meet now that he got no else but himself.

This was the same reason why he chose against telling the truth before.

He was scared to lose everything once his only remaining family was sent to jail.

Yet in the end, his conscience ate him whole and lead him to live a meaningless life. instead

But all those self-blame and self-loathing was over now.

Because he finally decided to set things right.

Although this would eventually mean that he would have to say goodbye to his own comfortable lifestyle.

Nevertheless, he knew deep down in himself that it was the right thing to do.

And he would continue to believe that this was the best choice that he would ever make in his entire life.

He had been once a coward before.

But not again any more

On a one stormy night, three years ago, Miguel saw how the love of his life, Samara, cowered in fear exactly like how Dr. Coolman cowered in fear at the corner right now.

Although Samara was not capable of speech, her eyes were clearly shouting fear and disgust at that time as Dr. Coolman laid his salacious hands in between her legs that night.

Miguel saw it.

He saw everything behind the door that night.

It was at that moment that everything fell into pieces like a puzzle and everything seemed clear to him once and for all

He finally realized why something felt wrong.

His uncle was sexually assaulting Samara all this time!!!

That explained why instead of getting better over time, Samara's condition only worsened and she ended up becoming more distant as time goes by.

To the point that she was even distancing herself to him!

That explained why Samara always flinched whenever he tried to hold her hand as they walk

She was not getting cold.

She was scared!!!!

She was traumatized by something.

Or rather than saying something, it was someone!

And it was his very own uncle who was doing all of those awful things to Samara.

And to make things worse, it was he who brought her to him!!!!

He personally sent his lover to the den of the Devil!!!

Blinded by rage, Miguel almost lost control at that time and he barged inside the office.

He forcefully took Samara away from his uncle and they run away.

Dr. Coolman obviously chased after them at that time as well.

They run off at the rooftop hoping to lock themself up there for the meantime until help arrived for them.

It should have been a good plan.

But they did not expect that Dr. Coolman would actually have access to the key of the rooftop door, so they ended up being trapped instead.

Miguel and his uncle, DR. Coolman, had a brawl and for some reason, while they were fighting, they got near the edge of the rooftop.

Afraid that something might go wrong, Samara tried her best to stop the two from fighting but Dr. Coolman forcefully pushed her away.

That was how Samara ended up falling from her death.

Miguel was so scared out of his wits at that time and he was not sure what to do.

He did not want to get involved in a murder nor did he want his uncle to be sent to jail or else, his life will be over too.

Because Dr. Coolman was the only family left to him.

Dr. Coolman obviously took advantage of this fact to get away from his crime.

In the end, Miguel became a useless coward and went along with Dr. Coolman's lies.

Pretending that nothing happened that night and Samara jumped to her own death.

He tried to make himself believed that lie and lived his life as normal as he could.

Pretending that the stormy one night three years ago never occurred in his life at all.

But to date, everything that happened that night was still clearly written in Miguel's memory and it still tortured him in his sleep every night.

And now that he saw his uncle Coolman acting so very much alike Samara that particular stormy night, that painful memory of Samara's death became more vivid to him than ever.
