HOLD IT RIGHT THERE

While Aiden was busy reorganizing his thought, the conversation between Clark and the newcomers also continued.

"What did the doctor said about his condition? Is he alright??? Is there ay news when is he going to wake up?"

'The one who spoke this time sounded familiar as well. Just who could be???'

Aiden thought to himself when he heard another familiar voice inside the room.

But he was not out on the dark that long because the identity of the other party was revealed right after when Clark addressed him.

"Boss Jay, don't worry. The doctor said that there was nothing wrong with him. He is fine and he told me that Aiden was about to wake anytime soon."

This time, however, Clark's tone of voice had an obvious change.

He suddenly sounded more respectful that he usually was.

"That's good to hear then. Be sure to be there once he woke up and attend to his needs."

Boss Jany instructed Clark before he turned on his heels a decided to take his leave.

But before Boss Jay could even step outside the room, one of his lackeys decide to stop him on his track to asked about someone

"Boss Jay, are you sure we won't be put behind the bar because of what we did?? What if that boy rat us out to the authority and decided to sue us or something??"

"That is why we have to talk to him as soon as he woke up. We could offer him some compensation in exchange for his silence.."

Boss Jay said before he turned to his heels for the second time around.

But again, before he could take his leave and successfully leave the premises another person called him out to stop him.

"WAIT!!!! Hold it right there!"

Aiden bolted upright in his bed as soon as he heard the mention of the word 'compensation'

"Aiden, you are finally awake!!!!"

Clark exclaimed in delight when he saw the other party bold upright on his hospital bed all of sudden.

He felt so relieved to see that Aiden was alright.

It was as if something stuck on his throat, obstructing him to breathe properly every day, was finally removed. He could now feel at ease.

To be honest, he had been into self-blame for what he had done to Aiden over the past six days.

Even though he and Aiden were not totally good friends, since the beginning of time, they were not in a relationship either that he will rejoice for the other party's misfortune.

Clark was candidly worried about what happened to Aiden.

In fact, the reason why he tricked Aiden into being their sacrificial groom was not out for pure naughtiness.

He thought that by doing so, their other workmates would start to notice Aiden. Besides, Aiden won't be doing it fr free. He would get paid for it.

So he believed that Aiden won't be receiving the shorter end of the stick on that deal. Rather they would even be hitting two birds with one stone.

But unfortunately, things did not go exactly according to his plan and they met an accident instead.

So if something bad really happened to Aiden then it would definitely put a toll to his conscience

After all, everything that happened to Aiden that day could be considered to be partially his fault.

Because if he did nit brought Aiden to the fraternity house that night and tricked him into becoming their sacrificial groom for the ritual, then none of this should have happened to Aiden in the first place.

As such when he saw that Aiden finally woke up, he was visibly relieved.

"Is it true that you will be going to compensate me???"

Aiden asked Boss Jay directly to confirm if what he just heard was true.

"Yes of course. So long that you will swear not to tell us to the police. We will pay for your hospital bills as well."

Boss Jay stated his condition right away. To which Aiden agreed to it readily since it did not come to his mind to sue them anyway.

"Of course you should. And don't worry, I don't have any plans of telling your fraternity ti the authority and blow things out of proportion. You taking care of me over that past six days was already good for me, but if you could compensate me on top of that. That would be great."

"How are you feeling right now??? What really happened to you back there?"

Clark asked on the side. He was not the only one who was curious about what happened to Aiden because to date, this was also their first time having someone faint during their ritual.

"Oh right, about that! Did you guys drugged me or something????!"

Aiden asked suddenly when he was reminded about the incident that happened to him back at the town graveyard.

The zombie priestess and her pale, gray, rotten skin

The Queen of Darkness in her black wedding dress...

And the wedding itself.

Everything felt so real that time, and all the things that happened to him that night at the town graveyard it was still a vivid picture in his memory.

But right now he was hoping that it was all nothing but a part of his imagination or dream. Because the notion of it being real was really frightening to him.

So he wanted to confirm from them if they happened to drugged him before bringing him over to the town graveyard that night.

As much as he hated to accept that he unknowingly took a drug on his system, that was the best shot that he got rather than accepting the fact that he got married on the infamous Queen of Darkness for real.

But to his dismay, he did not get the answer that he wanted.

"Are you nuts??? Why would we drugged you??? Is it about the prejudice that when people heard the word fraternity, they immediately think about delinquents who new nothing but drugs and violence?? We are nothing close to them. We don't use drugs, sorry to disappoint you."

One of the fraternity boys answered defensively. It was as if Aiden's question offended him
