Aiden tried his best to erase the image of the bloody high school girl in his memory, yet every time he closed his eyes, he still could not shake that gory image in his mind.

At the same time, he was worried about the high school guy that unknowingly boarded the haunted elevator.

The other party went there alone and who knew what could the ghost do to him.

They were not sure what had come to Aiden's mind at that time for wanting to go back inside.

But what they do know is they all wanted to leave that eerie place as soon as possible, and never come back again.

So regardless of what was Aiden's reason for wanting to go back, they were sure that they won't be coming back with him.

This only goes to say that the fraternity boys would also want and to try and stopped Aiden from going back inside because it was not like they could leave on their own and leave Aiden by himself.

After all, the reason why they were all there at the hospital, in the first place, was to fetch Aiden.

So it would make no sense at all if they would leave him behind after that.

"I-I think I left something inside. I will just go back and get it. T-th-hen I will come back right away. If you want, you guys can go first. Yeah! That is right! You guys can leave without me then and I will just follow later."

Aiden was stuttering a little when he answered back and his eyes kept n darting in all directions.

He was not good at telling lies, to begin with.

That was why he tried so hard just to avoid having direct eye contact with the other party.

For fear that once the bald man saw his eyes, he would realize that he as lying.

"I have to go now. Talk to me later."

Aiden added as he hurriedly made his way back to the hospital.

"That won't do. Wai---"

"Just let him be..."

The bald man was just about to grab Aiden to stop him from advancing forward but Clark cut him off.

"Let us just wait for him inside the car. He is not a child anymore. Besides he already knew where we parked so I am sure that he knows how to find his way back here once he was done looking whatever he left inside.."

Clark added before he continued waling towards their service car.

"Clark is right. That lad said that he left something inside and he was just going to get it back. I don't think he would take that long so let us just be patient and wait for him."

Mike, the one with a body full of tattoos, seconded Clark.

Since no one was stopping him already. Aiden was able to go back inside the hospital.

He did not dare use the elevator again for the fear of encountering the high school girl ghost so he took the stairs instead.

He was not sure what exactly he was doing at that time, nor why he was eager to go back inside that darn hospital it in the first place.

But for some reason, Aiden felt the need to look after the high school guy whom he bumped to earlier.

Although he was not certain what he will going to do next once he found the other party.

He had not thought about it yet.

That was to say if he was really going to cross paths again with the high school guy.

Because apparently, Aiden has no idea which floor did the high school guy went to. So left with no choice he was forced to check each floor one by one.

"Haixt! why am I even giving myself this trouble?! Whatever! Since I am already here, I will just look for him in the meantime. Once I confirmed that the bloody ghost was not tagging along with him, I will immediately leave this darn hospital for goodness sake!"

Aiden said to himself as he climbed the stairs to the next floor.

He just finished combing the area on the first three floors.
