"HEEEEELLPPP!!!!!"

Aiden could care less anymore whether he would be accused as lunatic crying out loud in the middle of the night.

If he must say, he would prefer it if someone would go and check him.

Aiden shouted at the top of his lungs and tried to ask for help, but no one came to his rescue.

It seemed that the place turned completely dead at that time.

Everything was freakingly quiet!!!

"HEEEEEELLPPPP!! PLEASE!!! SOMEBODY! ANYBODY!!! SOMEONE, PLEASE HELP MEEEEEEE!!!"

Aiden continued to shout until his voice turned hoarse, but at the same time, the blind ghost who was running after him was also crying out for help, just like him.

"Heeelpppp!!!! Please, heeelppp meeeeeee!!!!!!"

She said in a groggy way that made her sound more creepy.

After running for a few more meters, Aiden soon started to notice that something seemed weird.

Almost in an instant, Nathalia materialized out of thin air the moment Aiden spoke her name.

She remained afloat next to Aiden.

And while Aiden was frantically running for his dear life and was looking all haggard due to running for what seemed to be miles already, Nathalia, on the other hand, look as fresh as ever.

She glided alongside her running husband like a moon goddess who descended on the land.

"Gosh! Could you please stop smiling at me??! Do something!!! Do you think I call you just so I could have a running buddy?!"

Aiden rebuked in annoyance when he saw that Nathalia seemed to have no plans of doing anything to help him aside from floating alongside him and giving him a sweet and encouraging smile.

"What are you waiting for??? Get her now! Make her vanish or turn her to ashes! Do whatever you have to do!"

He hissed in frustration as he was now starting to feel that exhaustion was already starting to take its toll on his body.

"Ohhh??? But I don't do that, Aiden. I am the Queen of Darkness, not a Grim Reaper. I don't exterminate souls unless it was an urgent matter"

"Is this not considered an urgent matter yet??!!!!"

Aiden yelled back in disbelief when he heard Nathalia's answer.

If being chased by a ghost could not be considered as an urgent natter yet, then what else could be????

He thought that being married to the Queen of Darkness would at least gave him some perks but it seemed that it was nothing but a pipe dream for him.

There was no such thing as special treatment in their system.

"Oh yeah! Geez! What am I even thinking?!  Of course, what else could I expect from a Queen of Darkness, like you?! I guess it was indeed fine for you to see your husband being chased by another woman. I bet even if I let another hundred women chased after me, you won't even fret."

Aiden added and chose to use his last resort, which was to target Nathalia' pride

"What did you say?!"

As soon as Nathalia heard what Aiden had said, she immediately halted all movements around them.

Even Aiden himself was left suspended and even the blind ghost who was also running after Aiden was no exemption.

"Did you just say that you would let another hundred woman chase after you?!!! Do you dare?!!!!!"

Out of nowhere flashes of lightning appeared one after another on what seemed to be a clear night sky a moment ago.

Then it was accompanied by the rumbling sound of thunder that was enough to scared Aiden out of his wits.

"N-n-nooo...That is not what I mean.... W-why would I even want any of them running after me??"

Aiden replied in an almost quivering voice.

He was no longer sure if it was the result of exhaustion due to running, or whether it was his fright towards the ghost running after him or if it was because he was scared of Nathalia's presence.

Or was it all of the above???
