"Here", Dalia held out a spoon filled with soup to his lips and said with a half smile, "Have a taste."

They were in the kitchen, the fire crackling loudly with a huge pot set over it. She wanted to impress him with her cooking skills, so she had brought him here.

Thankfully, the king had been patient, watching her with intrigue as she bent over the fire to cook. It took him a great sense of strong control to keep his hand from reaching out to her. Being in that squatted position with her back facing him, he had wanted to run his hand all over her body.

Ditun took a taste of her soup, his gaze fixed on her, noticing the sweat forming on her forehead and the nervous look in her eyes. He wasn't even bothered by the excessive salt taste in the soup.

"Good," he said, curving his lips, and he noticed the quick exhale of relief she released.
