Ditun walked into the right alley. Initially, he wanted to be certain which one it was, which was why he had Amon split from him. Now that he ventured deeper into the alley, he was sure that this was the same alley the demon had visited. Although the scent was faint now, indicating that the demon had vanished.
He frowned, a silent prayer crossing his heart. Even though he was a demon who didn't believe in the gods, he still let out that quiet prayer for their safety.
He strode forcefully ahead, every step causing him to emit a deep growl. This was all his fault; if he had kept an eye on them, they wouldn't have escaped him.
As he continued walking, he suddenly paused in his tracks, his eyes widening. No, he shook his head, shocked by the sight before him. The fear he had felt earlier escalated, causing him to release shaky gasps and even his hand began to tremble.
