She wore her nicest dress and jewelry and then made her hair fall down over her bare shoulder in waves. Today the Royal ball was taking place in the castle. Many people would attend, so she had to stick out. 

She put on some scented oils at last, then left with Zarin. The way she turned heads when she arrived at the ball, confirmed that she had done a good job. Now she just had to find Ilyas. As always, he just stood at a table far out in the corner. She didn't have to go to him on her own. Zarin was already going that way, so she just followed him.
