Evening came slowly. It’s the peak of the dry season and the temperature from the hot day has dropped, leaving the atmosphere in the room feeling stuffy and heavy. I craved for fresh air; something I normally do whenever I am not feeling too good.

Victoria offered to take me around the palace. The castle was not only large but had several quarters; one for the young prince, another for the servants, and others occupied by those of higher duties.

We strode through several large halls that led to several smaller halls. The smaller halls had several doors that led to different rooms. One of the halls led to the royal kitchen, the pantry, and the storeroom. Another hall led to the guest room and the eating room, and another led to the palace’s big library and study; well equipped with so many books.
