I will protect you

"Come with me to the grocery!" Sofia demanded irritably.

"Why don't we have a maid? How are we going to do the laundry? Who will cook breakfast now? Who will clean the house? What are we going to do now? I can't live like this!"

It was obvious to everyone who the incessant speaker was—it was none other than Sofia. Her words seemed ceaseless, and Weyn was growing increasingly irritated.

"I can't come with you today. I have an urgent appointment." Weyn stated plainly.

"I don't care. Come with me, whether you like it or you love it." Sofia retorted with annoyance in her tone.

"I can't." Weyn replied, lacking enthusiasm.

Clearly frustrated, Sofia stomped upstairs, her exaggerated movements bringing a smile to Weyn's face. Why did she seem so insistent on his company? He couldn't help but find it amusing.

It was their first day as husband and wife, but Weyn couldn't bring himself to care. He had photoshoots and commercials to attend to; he was a busy man, after all.

He was Marl Sebastian Andrillian, a man of action rather than words. They say he is a playboy but he blamed the situation on others; they were the ones stripping in front of him. Despite his showbiz profile, he was the heir to the Andrillian's Group of Companies. It was his mother's decision, stemming from her days as a former model. Even if he wasn't interested, he had no choice due to their constant threat concerning his inheritance.

You might wonder why they called him 'Weyn' when it wasn't even part of his name. It was his stage name, and they had gotten used to calling him that. Now that you knew these things about him, it wasn't surprising why they couldn't announce their marriage—it was due to show business. He didn't want the media to make a spectacle out of him. Moreover, he had been dating casually, and interviews were conducted by girls who claimed to be his girlfriend even though he had only met them once.

*KRINNNGGG!!*

Weyn saw his manager's name flash on the screen of his phone. Her manager's name is Alison. He answered the call nonchalantly.

"Hey."

(Weyn, you're so late for your photoshoot for the Hottest Men's magazine, so I said we'd reschedule for tomorrow since you're not feeling well.)

"That's good because I got married yesterday, and-" Alison interrupted him.

(WHAT?! Are you serious? How come you never told me about that!? I'm your manager!)

"It's nothing serious, okay? Don't make it a big deal. Anyway, the taping for my new commercial today, please reschedule it." Weyn said.

(We should talk about that marriage-) Alison attempted to interject again, but Weyn cut her off.

"Yes, we will, though it's nothing serious. Bye." he ended the call.

KRINNNGG!

Seeing Alison's name flash on the screen again, Weyn rejected the call. He knew she'd only nag him about the wedding and ask the W's. WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, AND WHO.

Feeling hungry, Weyn glanced around, but there was no food in sight. He couldn't just go with Sofia; surely, people would flock around him. Why couldn't she understand that? He is thinking whether to go or not.

Entering the room, Weyn heard the sound of the shower running.

"Hurry up, Sofia." he said, trying to sound nonchalant.

"Don't tell me what to do, but anyway, I'm done." Sofia replied.

Shortly after, she left the bathroom, wearing a bathrobe. She smelled good—too good, irritating Weyn.

"What are you staring at? Out already! I'm going to get dressed." Sofia said.

"I'll take a bath too. I'm coming with you." Weyn said.

Her gaze widened, taken aback.

"You'll come with me to the grocery?" She sought confirmation.

"Unfortunately." Weyn replied, then headed to the bathroom. Before Sofia could respond, he felt her hug from behind.

"You're a pervert, Sofia." Weyn chuckled.

"Just a way of saying thank you." Sofia murmured.

"You're turning me on. Your boobs rubbed my back." Weyn teased, earning himself a playful hit.

"OUCH!" he shouted.

"You're the Pervert! I hate you!" Sofia retorted before pulling away.

Leaving a heavy sigh, Weyn went to the bathroom.

After the shower,Weyn put on casual attire—a cap, sunglasses, a gray long-sleeved shirt he rolled up to 3/4 length, pants and a black facemask. Even though he's covering his face, his outfit looks too stunning. Still making him still look like a celebrity.

Weyn parked his Ferrari. They are now at the grocery store. Sofia couldn't help but notice the attention they garnered; it was routine for her, but Weyn seemed uneasy.

"You should get along with it. If you're with me, expect a lot of attention because I'm beautiful." Sofia remarked confidently, earning a grin from Weyn.

"Charged as guilty, Mrs. Andrillian." he teased, pointing at her.

Frustrated, Sofia responded with a hiss, "I.am.not!"

Weyn burst into laughter at her indignation, his laughter a rich, melodic sound that captivated Sofia.

They started shopping inside the grocery store. Weyn couldn't help but feel frustrated by the food that Sofia is getting.

"What the heck, Sofia? I have no intention of being a goat here." he said, clearly irritated.

"What!? This is healthy food, Weyn!" she exclaimed, only to be surprised when he covered her mouth, drawing even more attention from people.

"SHHH!!!" he hushed her, and she quickly removed his hand from her mouth.

"What the hell is wrong with you!?" she retorted.

"Don't call me Weyn, okay? Not unless we're at home." he scolded, pointing at her as if she were a child.

"What's wrong with calling you We—" he covered her mouth again.

"Stop it! or I'm going to strip you now!" he threatened, his irritation evident.

Sofia can't understand why Weyn is acting that way.

As they finished grocery shopping, Sofia agreed to the meats, chocolates, milk, and bread he insisted on getting. Seriously, how can he maintain that perfect body while consuming so many preservatives and calories?

"Here is your card, Sir." the cashier said while seductively looking at Weyn.

"Girl, you might need some tissue to prevent your salivation." she remarked, rolling her eyes.

"Sorry," the cashier apologized, as Weyn get her his card, and—

"WEYN?!" the cashier couldn't help but shout.

"SHHH... please, stay calm so we will not go home with some bruises." Weyn said, smiling at the cashier.

After they finished paying, they headed straight to the car, but as they were making their way there, a woman shouted—

"THERE'S WEYN!!!" the woman yelled, and Sofia turned to see a crowd rushing towards them.

Before they could reach the car, they were swarmed by people with cameras flashing, and she was being jostled painfully in the crowd. They pulled them and tried to embrace Weyn. She was utterly confused, but she was surprised by Weyn's tight embrace. Amidst all this chaos, he managed to whisper in her ear—

"I will not let you get hurt. I will protect you, Wife."

...then her heart skipped a beat.
