Chapter 4

At the hospital, the nurses placed Jane in a way that would permit her to consume meals. Her condition prevented her from talking and walking with disposition, she was not even in the mood.

Abigail to see her, as she battles with the pains affected on her by the accident.

"You will be fine Mom. A way would be crafted out" Abigail said.

She was touched by John and Anabel who encouraged her to be strong. Thus, after they had accessed her and found she wasn't in a good disposition for unnecessary discussions, they decided to pin their mouth and instructed Abigail to do the same since she would be spending the night with her until tomorrow morning when they would arrive. The three discussed Sharon's invitation to her mansion tomorrow morning.

"You and I will be visiting Sharon tomorrow"John informed.

"I thought she gave us three days to think and conclude on our decisions?" asked Anabel.

"She did. I am surprised to hear the proceeds from her" John explained.

"Tomorrow then; We will be there to honor her invitation and if not for any reason, because of Mom's condition, "Anabel said.

The next day, they arrived at Madam Sharon's house and were surprised to hear that the five surrounding estates and the streets belonged to the 'Sharon Stones Empire' an empire that is controlled by Sharon.

Bottles of wine, fried turkey, and stewed rice were presented to them and as Sharon joined them to consume the goodies, her son stepped down from the staircase holding two ladies at their waist side.

"That's my son" She points at him

"Great, he is cool" Mr. John complimented but hated him in the mind because, to him, he is a nuisance who is not ready to be a responsible fellow.

"Hi mam"

"Hello granny"

The young ladies hailed her and came kissing her cheek. She smiled along with them, but deep down, was displeased with the three especially when the girls came kissing her while she ate.

Gabriel turned and was quickly captivated by Anabel's beauty. His mother had previously informed him yesterday of their discussions and he agreed to go on a contract marriage with anyone as long as she is beautiful and sexy.

He's known by the general public to be a mother's boy, who always has his way, but he would surely be crushed by his mother's decision.

"Hi pretty damsel" He waves at Anabel but she only nodes her head to anticipate his compliment.

They went outside to make themselves comfortable and while they left, the young ladies turned and flicked their eyes on Anabel who also noticed their gaze on her but pretended not to see them.

"I called this meeting, to know your minds on my proposal. I'm indeed very sorry for the inconvenience my demands call for" She humbly speaks.

"It's not an issue, emm, well; I and my daughter and have come to words and have agreed whenever you are ready. But there is an issue" Mr. John said.

"Please ride on"She encouraged.

" How about you increase the pay to fifteen million dollars" John asked

"Is that the issue? Let's leave it at seventeen million dollars then, in as much as your daughter would remain his wife for a complete six months and if pregnancy occurs, if she wishes, she leaves. I don't have issues with that"Madam Sharon answered.

As they come to terms with themselves, Mrs Sharon's lawyer barrister Excel comes down the staircase after being called by one of Sharon body guards. They signed an agreement in goodwill without being forced to by any party. According to the terms of the agreement, it doesn't stop Anabel from working with a corporate organization or owning and running a business of hers.

However, every payment was agreed to be seventeen million dollars and half payment would be paid by next week on the day of the marriage contract signing.

Also, Sharon promised to arrange a date between Anabel and Gabriel in days, so they would get to know themselves.

Anabel after seeing Gabriel with the kind of lifestyle he leads, wasn't happy and most importantly, happened to be the guy he hated most but due to the situation she finds herself in, she made her feelings towards him a secret.

It happens that Gabriel patronized Mrs. Edna's restaurant and there, he tried pestering Anabel for sex. While she served him and his entourage food and drinks, he touched her breast side and playfully spanked her butt.

Embarrassed by his actions, she dashed him a sound slap which got customer attention, and almost got her a case with the police. Since then, they haven't set eyes on themselves if not today.

She is sad with the way fate keeps twisting her path as she is always connected with events and people. As for Gabriel, she has no issues with them living together except the thoughts of something she prays not to happen.

Sharon furthered her question by asking about Jane. She was informed of her accident and was hospitalized. She felt for her and promised to come around to visit her. Meanwhile, Sharon and Jane had some uncleared issues that's not known by their children.

The fact that Sharon crushed on John some years back even while married to her late husband, the rosed crisis between the two women, and if Jane eventually gets better, events would surely surface.

They departed from Sharon's mansion and headed straight to the hospital where Abigail stays with Jane. Her health condition remains as it was and only surgery would be able to restore her but would take a gradual process.

That day, the scene saw different neighbors and family friends who visited and brought gifts and cards to Jane. Mrs. Edna also visited and saw reasons why the two girls had been absent.

A plot was going on, as an unknown guy seized the opportunity to operate. He called Anabel out of the ward where her mother is, in the pretense of being a messenger from Sharon. He compassionately held her hands and once they were far from the ward, he held her by the waist.
