'Alexander swallowed hard at the sight of her He went into the bathroom and washed his hands off and met her about to fall so in one swift move he placed a rag between his hand and her head before lifting her like she was a glass that could be shattered at anytime.
He laid her on the bed and tucked her in, he couldn't help but want to caress her cheeks and he was about to when he saw he's nails were back to normal but he pulled away and thought for a while. He went to the mirror and looked at himself. He was completely back to normal after touching her, though not physically. But he was calm.
The next morning, Elaine woke up looking dull, she knew she slept off on the couch but didn't bother thinking about who put her on the bed. Halsey came to greet her but she didn't say a word she just entered the hot bath and Halsey didn't need anyone to tell her what to do.
After Elaine got dressed she sat at the mirror watching herself closely
"Your highness, should I get you some books" Halsey offered but Elaine shook her head in disapproval
"We could go to the gazebo in the garden" she urged but Elaine just turned around and went straight to her bed
"Your-"
"Leave" Elaine said to Halsey and she bowed before exiting the room
Alexander entered the room and saw Elaine sitting on the bed. He couldn't see her face but he knew she was gloomy. He just felt it but he didn't want to approach her yet he just watched her for a while
"Elaine what is wrong with you" she stood up and said to herself as more tears flowed out of her eyes
"Why does it hurt so much, when you're not suppose to care" she yelled at herself
"You don't love him so why are you crying!" She yelled in the room and slumped still crying
"Why are you crying, he's a pervert prince, so of course he'd do that, he doesn't even care about the woman he married, would he be happy if he saw me in his brother's arms!" She yelled and Alexander body tensed up
"Elaine!" Alexander thundered and she turned to meet him staring at her in anger, her ferocious eyes surprised him as she stood up
"What!" She yelled at him not caring about his suffocating aura which surprised Alexander even more
"Don't you dare say those words ever again" he warned
"And why won't I, I hate you, I hate you Alexander" she yelled at him. Alexander felt his world crumble at those three words he just heard her say. So many people had said those words to him a million times but now he felt like ripping his heart apart for the pain he feels after hearing her words. He heard a light cracking sound and turned to leave when he heard her heartbreaking words
"How could you cheat on me and on the same day you stole my first kiss, am I not that attractive" she said subconsciously and Alex grabbed her head then pressed his lips against hers passionately, he didn't want to hear her say more hateful words to him so he used a passionate and ferocious kiss to shut her up and vent out his fraustration.
Elaine kissed him with the same intensity and she was short of breath but refused to let go. Alexander knew this but he also didn't want to let go. Her soft pink lips were just unbelievably tasty, calming the monster in him that was trying to leave it's cage
Alexander reluctantly let go and let Elaine take heavy breaths.
"You are really a monster you know....how could you kiss me when you know am angry at you" she yelled
"Am sorry" he subconsciously said and widened his eyes in realization of what he just spouted
"Huh?" Elaine was shocked and confused. She had heard alot of stories about Alexander and that since the day his mom gave birth to him he has never uttered the word sorry. But now he said those words to her sincerely. She saw it in his eyes. The anger frustration and regret
Alexander was in a daze and Elaine grabbed hold of his neck between her hands and hugged him tight
"I-i am sorry, I won't do it ever again okay, but please don't cry, your tears break me"
"Okay, but I will forgive on one condition" she said as mischievousness. was etched in her voice earning a chuckle from Alexander
Elaine had instructed the servants to arrange equipments for archery in the garden and within a few minutes it was all ready.
Elaine and Alexander stood at a distance from 6 bulls eye 5 meters away from each other with a bow and an arrow. Elaine looked at him with a smirk and he acted like he hadn't used a bow and an arrow before
"Don't worry, I'll teach you" Elaine said and helped him steady his hold on the bow
"I think I should go first" she said when Alex stopped her
"So you want me to beat you at something I don't know how to do. That's not fair" he said with a childish pout. Xavier who had been watching them from the corner was confused and shocked at prince Alexander's behavior
Alexander knew he was acting strange but at this moment he didn't care, all he wants is to make her happy, the smile on her face is something he will never get tired of.
"Don't worry, I know you can never beat me, this is to vent out your anger and fraustration. When I'd get extremely mad at my parents, I go out and practice archery, just look at the bulls eyes as your anger and Pierce through it with all your might" she said with mixed expressions and Alex nodded knowingly
"So I'll go first, to show you how it's done" she said with a girly smiles
She held her bow high at arms length and aimed at the bulls eye with her arrow. She had one eye open and her tongue poked out and hooked at her lips.
